Abstract: The objectives of this research were to explain the characteristic of the newspaperÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s profile of fishery and marine development, to compare the objectiveity of the reports based on the result of censuses of fishery and marine science and mass media expertsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ opinions, to study the policy of news on fishery and marine development on Kaltim Post newspaper editorial staff. The respondents were chosen by using purposive sampling method and were supported by disproportional stratifed random sampling method for news sample clipped for evaluation from the panelist expert team. The data obtained was then analyszed by using content analysist method. The research findings show that the subject matter proportion frequency and volume are mainly dominated with news on marketing and the type of writing is dominated with news, it is also dominated with positive tendencies and non-headlines. The panelist expert team and the mass media expert gave much kind of opinion to the news. Based on the census result, the news is presented enough objectively. The reseacrh findings show that news on fishery and marine development is still considered as a minor discourse by Kaltim Post.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had quite a broad impact on the community's economic sector. This condition is also felt by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), including business actors in the fisheries and marine sectors. The study activities were carried out for 3 months from July to September 2021. This research used survey methods and interviews with business actors. The data collected is in the form of primary and secondary data. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. From the results of the study, it can be seen that processing business actors are quite feeling the impact of this covid-19. The results of the study in terms of sales turnover experienced a significant decline (between 40 – 60%). The sluggish consumer demand for amplang products is due to various reasons such as restrictions on people's mobility (PPKM) and declining people's purchasing power

ABSTRACT SINTYA NURUL KURNIAWATI, 2022.Strategy for Development of Amplang “Barokah” House in Lok Tuan Village, North Bontang District (Supervised by Said Abdusysyahid and Eko Sugiharto). The purpose of this study was to find out how the Amplang ”Barokah” House Business Development Strategy, Lok Tuan Village, Bontang Utara District. This research was carried out from January 2021 to March 2022 in Lok Tuan Village, North Bontang District. A sample of 10 respondents with reference to predetermined questions in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the results of IFAS and EFAS, it can be seen that the total value for IFAS is 0.845 and for EFAS is 0.258. In the SWOT matrix, several alternative strategies are obtained by using strengths to take advantage of opportunities and using strengths to avoid threats. In the SWOT analysis diagram, it is known that the Amplang “Barokah” House Business is located in quadrant I, meaning this is a situation that this business has strengths and opportunities, although on the other hand this business faces several obstacles and weaknesses. The strategy that must be applied in this condition is the Growth Strategy or growth strategy.

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of prosperity and the typology of rural fishing communities Gurimbang Village. By using several methods, namely the welfare of family planning by the national coordinating body (BKKBN) and village typology analysis based on three criteria: self-help, self-employment and self-sufficiency. The results of this study indicate that as many as 31 respondents (94%) of fishermen in Kampung disadvantaged families in the early stages and as many as 2 respondents (6%) are in phase I Family Welfare, and the typology of fishing communities included in the category of village Kampung Gurimbang Swakarya.

Extension activities in an effort to develop fishing are held to improve the performance of fishermen in Muara Muntai Ulu Village. With the extension, it can help fishermen in increasing productivity, business efficiency, business income, improving the quality of life as well as increasing awareness in preserving environmental functions. Fisheries extension activities cause various perceptions from various fishermen in Muara Muntai Ulu. This study aims to determine the level of perception of fishermen on fishery extension activities in Muara Muntai Ulu Village, Muara Muntai District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This study uses the Total Sampling method. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative Likert scale. According to the results of the Likert scale analysis of all indicators, the average Fisheries Extension activity is in the medium category. In the Fishermen's Perception research on Extension activities partially, all indicators are in the medium and high categories. Indicators that get a moderate score are facilitating the learning process of key players and business actors, Ensuring easy access of fishermen to sources of information, technology, and other resources, assisting fishermen in developing their capabilities so that they are highly competitive, productive, good sustainable business governance and Help analyze and solve fishermen's problems. While the indicators that get high scores are improving leadership, managerial and entrepreneurial abilities.

Accessing information through electronic media is unfamiliar thing for the community since it is essential in improving their insight in order to support the increase of their fish production. This research was performed in Rebaq Rinding Village, Muara Muntai Sub-District Kutai Kartanegara District. Census method was used in this research, employing 30 fish cultivators in Rebaq Rinding Village. The objective of this research is to find out the type of information media used by fish cultivator community. This research found that the electronic information accessed by the community of fish cultivator in Rebaq Rinding Village is in the form of mobile phone and television. Among the information they access includes entertainment, watching youtube, searching for recent information and watching television. In terms of information concerning fishery, they access information of how to spawn fish correctly and how to make natural feed for the fish.

The purpose of this study was to learn about and understand the aquaculture business and the dynamics of the POKDAKAN Bina Karya group inÂ Kersik Village, Marangkayu District, Kutai Kartanegara. This research was carried out for 9 months starting from preparation to research results from August 2022 â€“ June 2023 in Kersik Village. The samples were taken using purposive sampling method. The sampled members of the POKDAKAN Bina Karya with a tenure of membership of 10 years and over. Based on this consideration, out of 30 members, 10 members with a tenure of membership of 10 years and over are taken as a sample. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis and Likert scale. The results of the research show that the cultivation business has been going on for 31 years. Cultivation activities are carried out using traditional pond systems and using polyculture techniques involving Milkfish (Channos Channos) and Tiger Prawn (Penaeus Monodon) as the main commodities. The level of group dynamics in POKDAKAN Bina Karya has a cumulative score of 71.9, categorizing it as high (dynamic).

The smoked fish processing business is an effort to increase the added value of the product. The purpose of this study is to find out the cost, receipts, income, break-even point and the ratio of receipts and costs. This research was carried out from January to June 2022. The sample taken was 4 respondents. The data analysis method used is the analysis of income and the ratio of receipts and costs. The results showed that the average total cost of the baung fish processing business was IDR 11,104,250 and the average receipt from the baung fish processing business was IDR 13,605,000 / month and the income from the smoked baung fish processing business in Kota Bangun District averaged IDR 2,500,750 / month. The ratio value of the smoked baung fish processing business in Kota Bangun District is 1.2. Keywords: Economic Performance, Smoked Baung Fish, Kota Bangun District

This research aims to describe the problems and examine the development of the Mekar Jaya Milkfish Amplang Processing Group in Sungai Parit Village, North Penajam Paser Regency. This research was carried out from October 2022 to December 2023 in Sungai Parit Village. The sample consisted of 7 respondents using saturated sampling (census) and purposive sampling methods. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis methods and the theory of business development stages (Anoraga, 2007). The results of the research show that the problems faced by the Mekar Jaya Milkfish Amplang Processing Group consist of a lack of availability of milkfish raw materials, a lack of labor and increasing prices of raw materials such as oil and others. The development study takes the form of development stages (Anoraga, 2007) which include, Stage I to Stage III which explains the identification of business opportunities, business formulation to the selection of the milkfish amplang business as the main business and Stages IV to Stage V explain the implementation of the business to the evaluation of the amplang business milkfish. The role of BAZNAS and the Fisheries Service as stakeholders is to carry out business development for the Mekar Jaya Milkfish Amplang Processing Group which is divided into 4 development aspects, namely business capital, product production, product promotion and facilities and infrastructure.
