Abstract

Program pengabdian yang dilaksanakan untuk memberikan solusi atas permasalahan mitra abdi, Sekolah YPAC Surabaya. Permasalahan yang meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas perpustakaan berkaitan dengan akses terhadap koleksi bacaan perpustakaan bagi siswa-siswi berkursi roda dan keterbatasan aktivitas literasi sekolah yang menyenangkan. Program pengabdian memberikan solusi melalui inovasi rak buku bergerak yang memungkin siswa-siswi berkursi roda menjangkau akses koleksi buku-buku di perpustakaan. Selain itu, program pelatihan bagi guru dan siswa dirancang bersama mahasiswa KKN untuk menghasilkan aktivitas literasi yang menyenangkan sehingga aktivitas literasi sekolah dapat meningkatkan daya tarik siswa-sisi untuk mencintai buku dan membaca sebagai dukungan terhadap program Gerakan Literasi Nasional. Program mendapatkan respon yang positif dari seluruh guru sekolah YPAC seperti yang ditunjukkan pada hasil angket yang dibagikan kepada guru usai program pengabdian berakhir. Program pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang baik bagi propaganda kegiatan literasi khususnya di sekolah luar biasa, oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan kajian tentang tingkat kebermanfaatan rak buku bergerak sehingga dapat diproduksi lebih banyak dan dimanfaatkan untuk kebutuhan sekolah-sekolah luar biasa yang lain.

Abstract

In the current technological era, language learning has experienced significant changes. The implementation of technology in language learning has enabled the development of innovative learning methods, especially in the context of collaborative learning. Optimizing language and technology skills can be a provision to face the demands of life which are always changing according to the times. Therefore, students need to explore technology in the learning process. This research aims to investigate the role of technology in mediating collaborative learning in the context of language learning. Combining language learning with technology is a relevant solution to mediate collaborative learning. An approach that involves a reciprocal relationship between educators and students to achieve maximum learning goals. The method used in this research is quantitative. The steps are to create a statement related to technologically enabled language learning that can mediate the role of collaborative learning. Then it is formulated into a Google form and filled in by students. Then the data is collected input and processed using the SPSS application. The correctness of the data can be proven by statements made on the Google form which are adjusted to the facts that occur in the world of education. The results of this research state that in language learning, technology plays a very important role in becoming an intermediary for optimizing collaborative learning. Creating a new innovative educational perspective that is increasingly sophisticated, helping students develop more complex and in-depth thinking abilities so that they can provide effective solutions related to all forms of challenges that occur in the world of education. This research concludes that teachers are advised to better understand language learning through technology so they can teach students how to adapt to increasing technological changes. So that it can expand opportunities for creativity in learning and enrich the learning experience through the skills practiced by the teacher.

Abstract

Since 1960, speech synthesis technology has existed and its applications are now widely available, one of which is the Natural Reader application. Natural Reader is an application that can be used in knowing how to pronounce words in English. This study aims to describe students' experiences with using the Natural Reader application and examine the effect of utilizing the use of the Natural Reader application as a tool to test the accuracy of pronunciation of Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar State Islamic University students, by using the Natural Reader application students can more easily test their English accuracy. The method used by researchers is quantitative method, quantitative research can show data containing numbers that can be obtained by utilizing google form as a means of making a questionnaire. This research shows that the Natural Reader application has the potential to ensure the accuracy of pronunciation in English. So it can be concluded that the Natural Reader device can ensure the accuracy of student pronunciation in English.
