Abstract

Introduction: Splint dressing is first aid for parts of the body that experience injuries such as broken bones by maintaining a body position using objects that can maintain a stable and comfortable position. Purpose: this study is to determine the effect of video-based education on knowledge of first aid splint dressing for bone fractures in the community in the working area of ??the Polongbangkeng Selatan Health Center, Method: using a Quasy Experimental design with a one group Pre-Post test approach which aims to identify causal relationships by involving a group. Results: the results of the analysis of the Paired T Test obtained a ? value of 0.005 ? ? (0.05). The results showed that there was an effect of video-based education on knowledge of first aid splint dressing for fractures in the working area of ??the Polongbangkeng Selatan Health Center, Takalar Regency. Conclusion: Viedo-based education and counseling materials as well as splint dressing training are able to increase first aid knowledge on bone fractures in the community in the working area of ??the South Podbangkeng Health Center, Takalar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the relationship of coach interpersonal communication with peak performance in pencak silat athletes SMI Bukittinggi. The research is using quantitative correlational design. The population of this study is pencak silat athletes in SMI Bukittinggi. The sampling method is using purposive sampling technique with a sample of 54 pencak silat athletes. Data collection is by means of the scale of communication interpersonal and scale of peak performance. Data analysis use Karl Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation. The results of this study indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between communication interpersonal and peak performance in pencak silat athletes in SMI Bukittinggi with a correlation value of r_xy= .370 and p= .006 (p<.05), which indicates that the higher coach interpersonal communication, the level of peak performance becomes higher and otherwise if interpersonal communication is low then the peak performance level is low.

Abstract

Perilaku Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender (LGBT) telah menjadi topik yang hangat dalam diskusi nasional di Indonesia. Kehadiran LGBT semakin mencuat seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan dukungan global. Indonesia, mayoritas penduduknya Islam, memiliki banyak organisasi keagamaan, termasuk yang berbasis Islam, yang memegang peran penting dalam menangani isu LGBT. Salah satunya adalah Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak LGBT terhadap remaja menurut persepsi Muhammadiyah.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan untuk mengumpulkan informasi dari berbagai sumber seperti artikel, jurnal, hasil penelitian, dan bacaan relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi Muhammadiyah menekankan bahwa LGBT bertentangan dengan ajaran agama Islam dan dapat memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan, pendidikan, dan kesejahteraan remaja. Analisis dampak LGBT bagi remaja menurut Muhammadiyah menyoroti perlunya upaya pencegahan yang komprehensif, termasuk penguatan nilai-nilai agama, pemahaman yang tepat tentang bahaya LGBT, dan dukungan rehabilitasi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menggambarkan pentingnya memahami dampak LGBT dalam konteks budaya dan agama tertentu, serta menegaskan perlunya tindakan preventif yang lebih terarah untuk melindungi remaja dari dampak negatif perilaku LGBT.

Abstract

The use of chemical pesticides in modern agriculture in Indonesia has a negative impact on the environment and health. To address this issue, students from the 24th Community Service Program (KKN) of Raja Ali Haji Maritime University (UMRAH) held a training session on making plant-based pesticides from papaya leaves in Kota Baru Village, Bintan. This activity aimed to provide environmentally friendly and easy-to-apply pest control solutions to local farmer groups. The training involved agricultural extension workers from the Bintan Regency Food Security and Agriculture Office as resource persons. The results of this training are expected to increase farmers' knowledge and skills in utilizing papaya leaves as natural pesticides, reducing the use of chemical pesticides, and realizing more sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture in Kota Baru Village. Despite obstacles in community participation, this activity succeeded in sparking farmers' interest in applying plant-based pesticides in their crop cultivation.
