Abstract

The development of the industrial revolution demanded various changes in every activity, including in the field of education. Through technological developments in the learning process will be able to help students to face these challenges. This study aims to analyze the implementation of technology in education to help students face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research is a descriptive qualitative research collecting data from literature study. The results of this study found that technology has a significant role in the world of education, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Through the use of technology, students gain relevant skills and knowledge in the future. Then through the use of technology too, the creativity and innovation of students can be developed, as well as helping to establish social relations that are broader and also inclusive. Abstract

Every Christian in order to live the work of God's grace is generally expressed by the form of worship. In addition to the work of worship can be done with other things like praying, praising and otherwise, but the essence of this appeal is not only formality but to establish intimate relationship with the transcendent in a theological reflection. The church has a role to provide spiritual service to build and improve someone's religiusity, and every church certainly has a difference in the way in particular in theology of so that the model of worship between one church with another church has a difference with each reflection charge. One of the "consumers" in the worship is the teenager, they are with all sorts of background even motivation in worship will certainly assess a martyrity. They will wake up if the worship is in accordance with their expectations, therefore to accommodate their expectations then church critic thinking to provide non-monotonous services, full of VALUE and contextual. Through this writing the author wants to see the teenage and their spiritual growth through the role of the church in particular in a contextual worship. ABSTRAKSetiap umat kristen dalam rangka untuk menghayati karya anugrah Allah umumnya diekspresikan dengan wujud ibadah. Selain penghayatan ibadah dapat dilakukan dengan hal lain seperti berdoa, memuji dan lainya, namun esensi dari penghayatan ini bukan hanya semata formalitas melainkan menjalin relasi intim dengan sang transenden dalam sebuah refleksi teologis. Gereja memiliki peranan untuk memberikan pelayanan spiritual untuk membangun dan meningkatkan religiusitas seseorang, dan setiap gereja tentu memiliki perbedaan cara khususnya dalam penghayatan teologi sehingga model peribadahan antara satu gereja dengan gereja yang lain memiliki perbedaan dengan muatan refleksi masing-masing. Salah satu “konsumen” dalam peribadahan adalah jemaat remaja, mereka dengan segala macam latar belakang bahkan motivasi dalam beribadah tentu akan menilai sebuah peribadahan. Mereka akan terbangun jika peribadahan sesuai dengan harapan setiap mereka, oleh sebab itu untuk mengakomodir harapan mereka lantas gereja berfikir kritis untuk memberikan pelayanan yang tidak monoton, penuh dengan value dan kontekstual. Melalui tulisan ini penulis ingin melihat penghayatan remaja dan pertumbuhan rohani mereka melalui peranan gereja khususnya dalam sebuah peribadahan kontekstual.

Abstract

Inclusive education is an educational model that emphasizes equality, participation, and respect for diversity in the educational environment. This research will analyze policies, challenges, the role of the teacher, positive impacts, best practice models, as well as evaluating and improving the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia. This research is based on a descriptive qualitative approach and data is collected through literature studies on previous studies and studies. The results show that despite challenges and obstacles, inclusive education has a positive impact on participation, social-emotional development, and respect for diversity. Collaborative efforts are needed between the government, educational institutions, teachers and the community to improve the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia and ensure equal access to education for all students

Abstract

The Holy Communion is a part of faith maintenance. GKJ Jambeyan has implemented Holy Communion for children who have not yet taken the confirmation, or in other words, for teenagers who have not yet professed their faith. There are two teenagers who often cause trouble even after participating in Children's Communion, such as using foul language and harming others. Additionally, parents of two teenagers from GKJ Jambeyan have expressed concerns about their children being difficult to manage and burdensome. Moreover, one of these two teenagers withdrew from fellowship, even though they had attended Children's Communion, during which they received guidance on living as Christians. However, one of the teenagers experienced a positive change in daily behavior, making the spiritual transformation among these teenagers an interesting subject for research. This study uses a quantitative method to examine the existing correlation. The results of this study show that the application of educational elements in Children's Communion has a 93.7% impact on the spiritual intelligence of teenagers at GKJ Jambeyan. Furthermore, if there is an increase in the spiritual intelligence of GKJ Jambeyan teenagers, there is a 90.7% increase in the application of educational elements in Children's Communion.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the formation of social and spiritual values among Generation Z children through the practice of Children’s Holy Communion at Gereja Kristen Jawa (GKJ) Dagen Palur Karanganyar as a contextual model of faith education. This research employs a qualitative approach. The findings reveal that Children’s Holy Communion plays a significant role in shaping both social and spiritual values. Socially, children demonstrate increased empathy, patience, care for others, discipline, responsibility, and a sense of belonging within family and church communities. Spiritually, they experience a deeper understanding of faith, greater appreciation of the symbolic meaning of bread and wine, and a growing awareness of their identity as members of the body of Christ. The formation of these values occurs through a continuous process that includes pre-communion instruction, active participation in worship, and post-communion involvement in church life. These findings indicate that Children’s Holy Communion functions not merely as a liturgical ritual, but as a holistic means of faith formation that integrates cognitive, affective, social, and spiritual dimensions of Generation Z children.

Abstract

The inconsistency of student participation in Christian spiritual activities at SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta is the main background of this research, even though the school has provided adequate supporting facilities for students. The focus of the problem is directed at an in-depth analysis of the interaction of internal and external factors that influence the degree of student involvement. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews conducted from January to February 2026. The research stages include identifying informants, collecting primary data, reducing information, and systematically drawing conclusions. Research findings indicate that internal factors include the motivational strength of faith, personal awareness, interests, and perceptions of spiritual benefits. Externally, the strategic role of teachers as motivators, the collective influence of peers, and support from school policies are the main strengthening factors. However, significant structural obstacles were identified in the form of activity schedules that clash with break times and a busy academic load, thus hindering the actualization of optimal participation. Student participation is not only measured by the frequency of attendance, but also active involvement in services and management of spiritual organizations. The main conclusion confirms that participation is the result of a dynamic interaction between the personal dimension and the institutional environment. Therefore, increasing engagement requires a holistic approach that synergizes inner spiritual development with more flexible systemic school support to build students' character as a whole. ABSTRAK Ketidakkonsistenan partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan kerohanian Kristen di SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta menjadi latar belakang utama penelitian ini, meskipun pihak sekolah telah menyediakan fasilitas pendukung yang memadai bagi siswa. Fokus masalah diarahkan pada analisis mendalam mengenai interaksi faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi derajat keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik wawancara mendalam yang dilaksanakan pada periode Januari hingga Februari tahun 2026. Tahapan penelitian meliputi identifikasi informan, pengumpulan data primer, reduksi informasi, hingga penarikan simpulan secara sistematis. Temuan riset menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal mencakup kekuatan motivasi iman, kesadaran pribadi, minat, serta persepsi terhadap manfaat spiritual. Secara eksternal, peran strategis guru sebagai motivator, pengaruh kolektif teman sebaya, serta dukungan kebijakan sekolah menjadi faktor penguat utama. Namun, teridentifikasi kendala struktural signifikan berupa jadwal kegiatan yang bertabrakan dengan jam istirahat serta beban akademik yang padat, sehingga menghambat aktualisasi partisipasi secara optimal. Partisipasi siswa tidak hanya diukur dari frekuensi kehadiran, tetapi juga keterlibatan aktif dalam pelayanan dan kepengurusan organisasi kerohanian. Simpulan utama menegaskan bahwa partisipasi merupakan hasil interaksi dinamis antara dimensi personal dan lingkungan institusional. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan keterlibatan memerlukan pendekatan holistik yang menyinergikan pembinaan spiritual batiniah dengan dukungan sistemik sekolah yang lebih fleksibel guna membangun karakter siswa seutuhnya tuntas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the school environment in increasing the caring attitude of Christian students at SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, data were collected through non-participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with a Christian Religious Education teacher and twelve Christian students, and documentation. Data validation was carried out through source and method triangulation, while data analysis followed an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the school environment plays a strategic role in shaping students' caring characters. This is evident through the role of teachers as role models, a positive school culture, and inclusive social interactions. Christian values of love serve as the spiritual foundation that motivates students to care for others. In addition, the synergy between families and churches reinforces the internalisation of these values. Despite facing challenges such as modern individualism and media social usage, social experiences through collaborative learning, extracurricular activities, and community service effectively transform the concept of love into concrete social actions.

Abstract

Youth participation in church ministry plays an important role in the continuity of church growth and the spiritual development of young believers. However, many churches continue to experience low levels of youth involvement in fellowship and ministry activities. This study aims to identify the internal and external factors influencing youth participation in ministry and fellowship activities at Gereja Kristen Jawa (GKJ) Manahan, Surakarta. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving pastors, youth leaders, church elders, parents, and active as well as less active youth members. The findings reveal that internal factors include personal motivation, spiritual awareness, commitment, time management, and self-confidence. External factors consist of parental support, peer influence, church programs, leadership approaches, and the overall church environment. Family support and a welcoming church community significantly encourage youth participation, while academic responsibilities, monotonous programs, and limited parental involvement often reduce participation. The study concludes that strengthening collaboration between families and church leaders, alongside developing contextual and engaging ministry programs, can effectively enhance youth involvement in church ministry

Abstract

Student activeness is one of the important indicators in determining the success of the learning process. However, student participation in Christian Religious Education (CRE) learning is still varied, with some students tending to be passive during classroom activities. This study aimed to describe the learning methods used by Christian Religious Education teachers to improve student activeness at SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving one Christian Religious Education teacher and ten Christian students from grades X and XI. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that CRE learning has moved toward communicative and active learning through the implementation of sharing, question-and-answer, and group discussion methods. Teachers also attempted to increase student participation through ice-breaking activities and individual as well as group assignments. Supporting factors included the use of PowerPoint presentations, group collaboration, and opportunities for students to express their opinions. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consisted of boredom, lack of self-confidence, difficulties in understanding learning materials, and limited variation in learning media.
