Abstract

The cosmic warfare that ensued between good and evil, led to great accusations against the reign of Christ and its Rule. Satan's resounding accusation is that God's Law is too onerous to be the rule for Human life, thus God's Rule does not provide and even infringes on the freedom of every Individual. By opposing the Law of God, Satan is openly opposing the Reign of God. The cosmic warfare between God and Satan causes Man to be involved in it. Proof of God's loving rule without infringing on each individual's freedom of choice had to be proven. The perfection of character is an issue that continues to be discussed among theologians. Given the corrupt condition of mankind, achieving perfection seems to be an impossible thing to achieve, but this message is what the 144,000 in Revelation 14:4-5 will have, where they are not defiled, there is no lie in their mouths and they are blameless. This is the main issue in this study.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain data regarding Pastoral Assistance for Adolescent Gadget and Internet Users in the Waldensian Seventh-day Adventist Church. The type of research used is literature study. The literature study method is a series of activities related to methods of collecting library data, reading and taking notes, and managing research materials (Zed, 2008). Literature study is a required activity in research, especially academic research whose main aim is to develop theoretical aspects as well as aspects of practical benefit. Research results show that to overcome the lack of interest of teenagers in church worship, it is important for churches and pastors to understand the perspectives and needs of teenagers, and to create an inclusive, relevant and empowering environment for them. This can involve creating engaging programs and activities, listening empathetically to their concerns and questions, and building strong relationships between youth and the church community.

Abstract

Education is one of the most important things in every human's life. Because through education, everyone can know many things, have a lot of knowledge and have a lot of experience. However, if education only emphasizes knowledge, then education will only produce people who are smart but have bad morals. Religious Education based on the Bible. The Bible reveals that humans are God's creation who must glorify God, so that education does not only talk about science, but also morality and integrity of life in accordance with the call and demands of God's morality. As developments in Biblical civilization, especially in the Roman-Greek era, Judah, and early Christianity showed the importance of religious life. Religious education as in Matthew 28:19-20 can be understood to have the aim of making disciples, and religious education means to correct errors and lead to truth, and religious education is part of the Great Commission. Because it is the Great Commission, religious education is also very important and must be done as important as preaching the Gospel. Or perhaps more clearly, evangelism and teaching about religion must go together.

Abstract

AbstractDigitalization has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including in the realm of business and religious practices. This research focuses on Christian evangelism in the digital era, where technology has become an integral tool for spreading religious teachings. Digitalization allows churches and religious organizations to leverage social media, websites, podcasts, and other online platforms to reach a wider audience, significantly younger generations increasingly connected to technology. This research uses literature analysis methods and phenomenon observation as the primary approach. The research results show that digital evangelism effectively reaches a broader audience but is also faced with challenges, such as the risk of spreading misinformation or religious extremism. The importance of ethical responsibility in using technology is highlighted, with the need for churches and spiritual leaders to develop discipleship strategies that are contextual and responsive to current developments.

Abstract

The world today faces multiple crises—ecological, social, and moral—that call for the emergence of a generation with a strong spiritual foundation, resilience, and clarity of values in every aspect of leadership. This study explored six dimensions of spiritual growth—Abide in Christ, Live by God’s Word, Pray in Faith, Fellowship with Believers, Witness to the World, and Minister to Others—within the context of Christian higher education. Data were collected from 132 students at Universitas Advent Indonesia using the Spiritual Growth Assessment Process (LifeWay Christian Resources).  Descriptive analysis revealed that "Pray in Faith" (M = 4.25, SD = 0.59) and "Abide in Christ" (M = 4.33, SD = 0.61) were the strongest practices, whereas "Minister to Others" (M = 3.54, SD = 0.94) indicated lower engagement. Correlation analysis revealed strong associations among the dimensions, with the highest between Witness to the World and Minister to Others (r = 0.881, p < 0.001). Multiple regression demonstrated that Minister to Others (β = 0.31, p < 0.001), Pray in Faith (β = 0.25, p = 0.01), and Live by God’s Word (β = 0.21, p = 0.03) significantly predicted Fellowship with Believers. The model accounted for 62% of the variance (R² = 0.62, p < 0.001). These findings confirm that prayer and moral formation are pivotal to spiritual growth, emphasizing the transformative role of Christian higher education in shaping graduates who unite intellectual competence with moral integrity and spiritual maturity.

Abstract

Amid growing ethical uncertainty in the digital and globalized era, questions about individual freedom and responsibility have become increasingly relevant. This study explores the concepts of existence and essence in the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre, with a focus on the implications of freedom and responsibility in modern human life. Highlighting the relevance of Sartre’s existentialism in today’s social context, the research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of individual moral and ethical responsibility. Using a literature review and thematic analysis of key works such as Being and Nothingness and Existentialism is a Humanism, the study examines Sartre’s ideas on existence preceding essence, the burden and necessity of freedom, and the ethical challenges it presents. The analysis reveals that Sartre positions freedom as central to human existence, enabling self-determination while demanding responsibility for one’s choices. In contemporary society, especially amid digitalization and globalization, these ideas remain vital in addressing issues of alienation, authenticity, and ethical decision-making. The study concludes that Sartre’s philosophy offers significant insights for moral education and personal development, encouraging individuals to live more consciously, authentically, and responsibly in an increasingly complex world.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the theological meaning of the phrase "women remain silent" in 1 Timothy 2:11, 12 and its implications for the role and involvement of women and its impact on the spiritual growth of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (GMAHK) congregation in the Pangkalan Kerinci area. This article shows that the commandment to "keep silent" is not an absolute commandment and prohibition against women's ministry but rather a situational one in which it has the basis of the rampant heretical teaching practiced by women in Ephesus at that time. The command was an effort to prevent false teaching in Ephesus. It is evident that women's involvement in ministry has a positive impact on the dynamics of worship and the spiritual growth of the congregation. Therefore, the church must understand the context of this text and open up equal spaces of ministry based on the gift of the Holy Spirit and not gender restrictions.
