Abstract

Railway technology is increasingly developing and the railway mode is quite a lot of interest by the public with its various advantages making trains an interesting topic for learning materials. Railway safety also needs to be introduced to the community early on. Therefore, socialization related to railway modes and railway safety was carried out to preschool students, namely PAUD “Kasih Ibu” Madiun city students. In addition to introducing railway transportation, this socialization activity also supports the achievement of Learning Outcomes in PAUD, namely the basics of literacy, mathematics, science, technology, engineering and art. The material was delivered with flashcards containing pictures and words about railroad facilities, railroad infrastructure, crew of railroad facilities and railroad safety signs. The evaluation of the activity showed that the average understanding of the socialization participants of the material presented was 80%.

Abstract

Publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi merupakan salah satu syarat wajib bagi kenaikan pangkat dosen terutama bagi mempunyai jabatan akademik Lektor Kepala, menurut Pedoman Operasional Beban Kerja Dosen tahun 2021. Namun faktanya, masih banyak dosen yang terkendala dengan syarat tersebut sehingga mengalami stagnansi dalam jabatan akademik. Dari hasil survei awal yang dilakukan terhadap 200 dosen di Indonesia dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Kementerian Agama dan Kementerian Perhubungan, diperoleh data bahwa para dosen memerlukan informasi terbaru mengenai jurnal nasional terakreditasi dan mendapatkan penjelasan terkait sistem Open Journal System (OJS) sehingga karya ilmiah mereka dapat dipublikasikan pada jurnal-jurnal nasional terakreditasi di Science and Technology Index (Sinta). Untuk itulah, kegiatan sharing session ini diadakan sehingga dapat membantu meningkatkan publikasi ilmiah dosen untuk perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan peningkatan jabatan akademik. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara daring dengan tujuan untuk menjangkau peserta dari berbagai lokasi di Indonesia. Metode sharing session dilakukan melalui presentasi oleh narasumber yang dilanjutkan dengan sesi exploratory study melalui tanya jawab dengan seluruh peserta kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi para dosen untuk memperoleh informasi terbaru mengenai akreditasi jurnal nasional dan OJS, sehingga dapat meningkatkan tingkat diterimanya artikel ilmiah pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi

Abstract

Level crossings are recognized as high-risk locations for traffic accidents and therefore require focused attention, particularly in the context of early preventive measures. This community service program aimed to enhance public awareness of compliance with traffic regulations at level crossings and to improve road users’ vigilance as a preventive effort to reduce accident risk at the JPL 210 level crossing in Bojonegoro. The program was implemented through a safety awareness campaign involving the distribution of visual educational materials in the form of leaflets and the installation of safety message banners in the vicinity of the crossing. The results indicate that the safety campaign utilizing leaflets and banners was effective in attracting the attention of road users. Road users demonstrated positive responses, as evidenced by their willingness to receive and read the leaflets, as well as increased caution when approaching and crossing the railway line. Based on observational data from 30 road users collected before and after the implementation of the safety campaign at the JPL 210 level crossing, a significant improvement in compliance levels was observed. The average compliance rate increased from 55.71% prior to the safety campaign to 76.18% following its implementation. The most notable improvements were observed in indicators related to speed reduction and the practice of looking both left and right before crossing
