Abstract

Education plays a pivotal role in national development, and assessing its quality is crucial. One widely recognized international assessment is the OECD's PISA, which evaluates mathematics, science, and reading abilities among 15-year-old students globally. In 2018, Indonesian students scored below the OECD average, highlighting deficiencies in the education system. This study investigates the determinants influencing Indonesian students' PISA scores using 2018 data. Multiple linear regression is employed to analyze three models: mathematics, science, and reading scores as dependent variables. Independent variables include age, gender, study time in mathematics, science, and reading, economic, social, and cultural status, family wealth, home ICT ownership, teacher feedback, and school discrimination perception. The findings reveal varying influences on PISA scores across domains: age does not affect mathematics scores, gender does not affect science scores, and all variables significantly impact reading ability scores at the 5% confidence level.

Abstract

The existence of competition among sharia banks is one of the effects that occur with the development of sharia banks. The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency of Sharia banks in Indonesia. Understanding efficiency is important because if banks are always operating at full efficiency, the fewer inputs they use, the greater the output they achieve. Output is measured by total earning assets, while the inputs used are total deposits and total operating expenses. A data envelopment analysis with input-oriented and variable returns to scale is used to achieve the objective. The result shows that of the twelve Sharia banks studied, four are considered to be the most efficient.

Abstract

Research aim: This study aims to analyze consumer preferences toward eco-friendly shoes by identifying the most influential attributes affecting purchasing decisions, including price, recycled materials, durability, ecolabel, and recyclability. Design/Methode/Approach: A quantitative approach was employed using Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis (CBCA) to evaluate consumer preferences for sustainable footwear. Research Finding: Price emerged as the most influential attribute, with consumers preferring products priced between IDR 500,000–1,000,000. Recycled materials and product durability had significant positive utilities, indicating strong consumer preference for environmentally sustainable shoes. Ecolabels also played a key role, showing that certified products are more appealing. However, training shoes were less preferred compared to casual and running shoes. Theoretical contribution/Originality: This study contributes to sustainable fashion literature by empirically highlighting the relative importance of sustainability-related attributes in consumer purchasing behavior within the footwear industry. Practitioner/Policy implication: Manufacturers and marketers should emphasize affordable pricing, use of recycled materials, durability, and ecolabel visibility to align with consumer preferences and strengthen environmental positioning. Research limitation: This study focuses on Indonesian consumers; future research should include broader samples to enhance generalizability.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the procurement sector, especially to select and evaluate suppliers, is currently developing along with the increasingly complex supply chain network and accessibility to large amounts of data. Supplier selection and evaluation methods that are commonly used are conventional methods such as multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods and fuzzy-based approaches, which rely heavily on human assessment and are less adaptive to changes in supply chain environmental conditions. The authors conducted a systematic review following the PRISMA guidelines to evaluate the development of AI utilization in supplier selection and evaluation methods. A total of 21 articles published between 2015 and 2025 in the Scopus database and meeting the set inclusion criteria were used for analysis. The results show the development of AI methodologies, ranging from soft computing approaches to hybrid models and machine learning methods. AI roles in decision-making has also transitioned from being a data processing tool to acting as an automated decision maker using predictive models. However, this study also identifies several challenges, such as dominance of static models, limited use of unstructured data and ESG metrics, and practical implementation in real world situation. This research presents a comprehensive categorization of AI methodologies and roles in decision-making framework, aiming to improve the construction of more transparent and robust AI-driven procurement systems. The findings contribute to theory and managerial practices by explaining how AI can be used to improve and automate decision making process, to support more data-driven procurement strategies.

Abstract

Single-use plastic consumption was so high that it led to a buildup of plastic waste, threatening the sustainability of ecosystems and marine life. Much of this plastic waste originated from environmentally unfriendly products, which had become an increasingly pressing social issue. This study investigated the impact of green product attributes, perceived price, and environmental awareness on consumers' purchase intentions for green products. Data were collected through a survey of 250 randomly selected respondents and analysed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to assess both measurement and structural relationships. Validity tests were conducted using product-moment correlation analysis, and reliability was measured using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Hypothesis testing was carried out with the help of PLS-SEM software. The results showed that Attitude Toward Green Brand and Price & Value Perception positively and significantly influenced Green Purchase Intention, with regression coefficients of 0.232 and 0.198, respectively. However, environmental awareness did not significantly influence GPI, with a p-value coefficient of -0.052. This research provided important insights for developing green product marketing strategies, emphasising the importance of strengthening product attributes and perceived value to increase consumer purchase intentions. Theoretically, the findings extended the understanding of consumer behaviour in green marketing by confirming that perceived product value mediated the relationship between environmental concern and purchase intention, thereby enriching existing models of sustainable consumption.
