Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapidly intensifying business competition in the building materials sector, driven by the emergence of numerous new competitors employing diverse strategies to meet consumer needs. TB HN Putra AL Qurtubiyah is one such business striving to fulfill these demands. The objective of this study is to determine the extent to which product superiority (X1) and service superiority (X2) influence purchasing decisions (Y) at TB HN Putra AL Qurtubiyah. A quantitative research method was employed, with data collected via questionnaires. The sampling method used was incidental sampling—a technique based on chance encounters with consumers at TB HN Putra AL Qurtubiyah who were deemed suitable data sources. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, as the total population of respondents was known; the study involved 92 respondents. Data analysis techniques included validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests, as well as linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination test, the F-test, and the t-test.

Abstract

Developing soft skills in secondary education requires activities that connect conceptual understanding with communication, collaboration, and idea generation. This article describes a community service programme at MAN 1 Tegal aimed at strengthening soft skills through Creative Entrepreneur Performance. The source manuscript presents an educational, participatory, and applied approach involving coordination, entrepreneurship education, idea development, group presentations, mentoring, evaluation, and follow-up. Programme descriptions were examined through a descriptive document-based analysis and discussed in relation to entrepreneurship education literature. The available account identifies connections between creative idea development and opportunities to practise communication, creativity, collaboration, and willingness to express opinions. The programme uses needs in students’ surroundings as a starting point for proposing solutions and positions mentoring as support for revising ideas. These findings describe the programme process rather than demonstrate measured skill gains or causal effectiveness. Participant numbers, implementation dates, pre-training and post-training scores, completed assessment rubrics, and documented outputs are not reported in the source material. The article contributes a mapping of activities, intended competencies, and evidence required for evaluating school-based community service. Follow-up recommendations include student projects, teacher mentoring, idea portfolios, and repeated evaluation to assess skill development more systematically. Empirical outcome claims require additional field records.
