Abstract

Responsive regulation is key to balancing consumer protection and business innovation in the financial technology sector. Piloting new products under regulatory supervision can be a solution to test new products while maintaining a clear legal framework. Multi-stakeholder consultation processes and dialogue with regulators add to the complexity of rule adaptation. For legal management, a strong regulatory monitoring capacity is required along with a dedicated team to ensure timely compliance. On the other hand, businesses need flexibility through anticipation of rule changes, data analytics, and the latest technology to observe the impact of regulations in real-time. Close multi-stakeholder collaboration is key to creating rules that are fair to all parties and support sustainable innovation. Joint adaptability between government, industry, and academia will enable the growth of the digital economy without abandoning consumer protection.

Abstract

The rapid development of E-Commerce in the Economy 5.0 era has triggered drastic changes in consumer behaviour. Modern consumers demand a fast, convenient and personalised shopping experience, supported by advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. Consumers are now more informed and active in the purchasing process, often conducting in-depth research and taking advantage of online reviews before deciding to buy a product. Abstract

Climate change in agricultural areas can affect the productivity of food crops. One of the impacts of climate change on the agriculture and forestry sectors is land fires caused by hot weather and lower rainfall. Forest and land fires increase the risk due to rising temperatures and drought caused by climate change. The Rasau area is an area with extensive peatlands and is currently widely used by the community as agricultural land. Excessive drainage dries out peatlands and makes them highly susceptible to fires. The potential for climate change is often exploited by the community to clear land by burning. PT. Kalbar Minerals Center Kalimantan Barat is the location where activities such as presentations, simulations, discussions, and tree planting take place, in collaboration with UPT KPH Kubu Raya. This community service initiative aims to provide the community with understanding and knowledge about climate change and encourage them to take proactive measures to mitigate land fire disasters. This activity aligns with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of higher education institutions, which emphasize the importance of community service and addressing real-world issues within the community.

Abstract

The use of blockchain technology in the agricultural supply chain offers innovative solutions to address issues of transparency, data security, and distribution efficiency, which have long been major challenges for the agricultural sector. With its decentralised recording system and smart contract features, blockchain is able to permanently record every transaction and product movement in a transparent manner that can be verified by all stakeholders. This not only enhances consumer confidence in the origin and quality of products but also accelerates distribution processes and reduces the risk of counterfeiting and disputes in transactions. However, the implementation of blockchain in the agricultural sector still faces challenges such as the need for digital infrastructure, technological literacy, and cross-sector collaboration. With the right policies and synergy between the government, businesses, and farmers, blockchain technology has great potential to build a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable agricultural supply chain in the future.

Abstract

India is the world's largest importer of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), holding a market share of 20% in 2022, making it a highly significant market for CPO-producing countries, including ASEAN nations. CPO serves as a primary export commodity for Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. This study aims to analyze the export competitiveness of CPO from ASEAN countries to India using the Relative Comparative Advantage (RCA) method. Export volume data from 2011 to 2022 were analyzed to comprehend the trade dynamics and competitive positions of ASEAN countries in the Indian market. The research findings indicate that Indonesia boasts the highest comparative advantage with an average RCA value of 18.25, followed by Malaysia (15.76), Cambodia (14.79), Thailand (2.15), and the Philippines (2.46). Overall, ASEAN countries demonstrate a comparative advantage in the Indian market with an average RCA value of 8.60. These findings offer crucial insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders to enhance the export competitiveness of CPO in the international market. This study contributes significantly to understanding the CPO trade dynamics between ASEAN countries and India, providing a foundation for more effective policy formulation to improve market positioning and export competitiveness of CPO in the global market.
