Abstract

Bakso nyatanya tidak banyak mengandung serat pangan walaupun suda bersumber dari daging hewani. Namun, semestinya tubuh sangat membutuhkan serat pangan tersebut untuk Kesehatan. Senyawa anorganik, yang mungkin memiliki konsekuensi negatif jika digunakan dalam jumlah berlebihan dan hal ini biasanya digunakan sebagai bahan pengenyal pada bakso. Menambahkan serat nutrisi pada produk bakso dan membantu memperbaiki tekstur bakso agar lebih kenyal adalah solusi yang mungkin untuk masalah ini. Penggunaan Rumput laut dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan. Karena kegunaan rumput laut sebagai emulsifier selama proses pembuatan bakso, dengan fungsi tersebut penambahan bubur rumput laut dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk. Permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah produk bakso yang dipasarkan di sekitar kampus hanya mengandung karbohidrat yang tinggi dan tanpa serat pangan. Solusi yang ditawarkan yakni dengan adanya produk bakso ikan rumput laut menjadi makanan siap makan yang memiliki gizi seimbang dan kaya serat pangan yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh.

Abstract

Social capital is a resource formed from interactions within a community, creating emotional bonds and cooperation that support the success of seaweed cultivation. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of social capital and its impact on the socio-economic aspects of coastal communities. This study was conducted in September 2024-October 2024. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Key informants consisted of the head of the Abbulo Sibatang cultivation group, village heads, collectors, and ordinary informants consisting of seaweed farmers. Informants directly involved in seaweed cultivation activities. In this study, 17 seaweed cultivators in Bonto Jai Village were used as regular informants. The results of the study show that social capital plays an important role in business sustainability. Trust strengthens cooperation and resource sharing, social norms such as mutual cooperation increase solidarity, while social networks facilitate market access and external support. The impact is seen in increased income, business stability, and closer social relationships in coastal communities. Conclusion The dynamics of social capital of seaweed farmers in Bonto Jai Village are influenced by strong trust, norms, and social networks. Social bonding, social bridging, and social linking strengthen cooperation, information exchange, and community economic stability. Seaweed cultivation has a positive impact on the community economy, increasing income, welfare, and access to education. However, land conflicts and profit distribution remain challenges. Strengthening social capital through training and community empowerment is needed to maintain socio-economic balance and business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of information technology used and the perception of small-scale fishermen towards its use in livelihood activities in Pallameang Village, Mattirosompe District, Pinrang Regency. The study was conducted in January–February 2025 using a mix method approach, namely a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The number of samples of 30 fishermen was determined through cluster random sampling techniques. Primary data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from documents and literature studies. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and using a Likert scale to measure the level of perception. The results showed that the type of information technology most widely used by fishermen was mobile phones (100%) as the main communication tool, followed by GPS (67%) which was used to determine fishing locations. The Windy application is used by 27% of respondents, the Asia & Africa HD application by 10%, while the compass is only used by 7% of respondents. Fishermen's perception of the use of information technology in fishing activities is very good, but its use in marketing the catch is still relatively low. The obstacles faced by fishermen include limited costs, limited internet networks, and low digital literacy. However, all fishermen stated that they strongly agree and are interested in participating in training related to information technology. Therefore, support from various parties is needed to improve access and skills in information technology for fishermen in order to support their work efficiency and welfare in a sustainable manner.
