Abstract

Healthcare worker wellbeing has become a strategic priority in modern healthcare systems where high work pressure, occupational stress and burnout risks threaten healthcare service quality. Physical activity programs have been recognized as effective interventions for improving worker health, yet systematic evaluation of their implementation in healthcare institutions remains limited.  This study aims to systematically analyze the effectiveness of physical activity programs as organizational wellness strategies in hospitals and their impact on organizational performance indicators. Methods: A systematic review was conducted following PRISMA protocol with comprehensive searches in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar and SINTA databases from 2020-2025. Inclusion criteria comprised empirical studies evaluating physical activity programs in healthcare institutions measuring impact on employee wellbeing or organizational indicators. 47 studies met inclusion criteria with 89,460 total participants. Multimodal programs (47% of studies) with 12-24 week duration demonstrated high effectiveness. A total of 81.3% of studies reported significant increases in physical activity levels (standardized mean difference +0.25) and 80% showed psychological stress reduction (Cohen's d = -0.42). Supervised workplace-based programs yielded superior adherence (67%) compared to individual programs (33%). Organizational impacts included 1.8 fewer sick days per year per employee (OR = 0.67), improved Work Ability Index (66.7% of studies), and return on investment of $3.27 per $1 invested. Conclusion: Physical activity programs prove effective as organizational wellness strategies with measurable impacts on individual health and organizational performance indicators. Optimal implementation requires multimodal approaches, supervised sessions, management support, and protected time during work hours

Abstract

Healthcare marketing in the digital era is increasingly shaped by data‑driven performance measurement and patient‑centered experiential value, particularly in specialized settings such as maternal and child hospitals. This study examines how a private maternal and child hospital—RSIA Ananda Makassar—implements digital marketing within a value‑based framework, focusing on its integration with performance measurement systems and experiential value creation for women and families. The research adopts a qualitative case study design using structured observation, semi‑structured interviews with key marketing and clinical staff, and documentation analysis of digital content, service processes, and patient feedback mechanisms over a two‑month period. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns in digital engagement, performance indicators, and experiential value dimensions. The findings reveal that Instagram, online booking, and WhatsApp‑based consultation are the most effective digital channels in reaching young mothers, while QR‑based satisfaction surveys and routine performance reviews support continuous improvement of marketing and service strategies. Patient trust and emotional bonding are strengthened through care‑oriented communication, storytelling, and visible professionalism, reflecting experiential value in maternal and childcare. However, global outreach and systematic integration of performance data across units remain limited. The study concludes that successful digital healthcare marketing in a maternal and child hospital requires an integrated approach that aligns digital tools, robust performance measurement, and patient‑centered experiential value to build trust and loyalty.

Abstract

Strengthening students’ managerial competencies has become a strategic necessity to enhance the effectiveness of student organizations and to prepare future leaders. This study aimed to analyze the impact of an experiential learning–based workshop intervention on the managerial competencies of student organization activists. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 core student organization board members selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire measuring five managerial competency indicators: understanding of POAC (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling), organizational vision and mission, goal setting, organizational structure, and perceptions of the importance of organizational management. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results indicated an increase in the mean score from 76.67 to 90.67, with a statistically significant difference (t(29)=2.97; p=0.006) and a moderate effect size (Cohen’s d=0.54). Four indicators showed significant improvement, while one indicator declined, which was interpreted as a critical reflective process following the intervention. These findings confirm that practice-based workshops are effective in enhancing students’ managerial competencies and should be sustainably integrated into student organization development programs.

Abstract

Background: The increasing digitalization of higher education has positioned learning media as a central component of instructional design, particularly among Generation Z learners who exhibit strong multimodal and self-regulated learning behaviors. Despite widespread use of printed modules and presentation slides, limited research has examined how these media function as integrated cognitive systems within health administration education. Purpose: This study explores how Generation Z students interpret, use, and combine learning media formats (modules, slides, and blended use) within a Healthcare Marketing course, focusing on their role in shaping cognitive engagement, understanding, and learning strategies. Methods: A qualitative descriptive–interpretive design was implemented using in-depth interviews, optional focus groups, and document review. Data were analyzed through reflexive thematic analysis to identify patterns of media use, pedagogical meaning, and contextual interaction. Results: Students consistently positioned modules as the primary source of conceptual depth and academic reliability, while slides functioned as cognitive scaffolding tools that supported attention and comprehension during lectures. A dominant finding was the emergence of a sequential blended strategy, where students used slides during class and modules for post-class elaboration. Learning effectiveness was further mediated by environmental conditions and instructional delivery, indicating that media cannot be separated from context. Conclusion: Learning media in Generation Z cohorts operate as an integrated cognitive system rather than discrete tools, requiring alignment between media design, instructional delivery, and learning environment. This study contributes to instructional design literature by demonstrating that effective health education must move beyond single-media approaches toward structured multimodal integration grounded in cognitive and contextual realities.Abstrak diketik dengan dua Bahasa secara berurutan, yaitu Indonesia dan Inggris.

Abstract

Background: Digital health and telemedicine have evolved into structural components of modern healthcare systems, fundamentally transforming how access, service delivery, and care coordination are organized. While their adoption accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic, their broader implications for healthcare service management, quality of care, and system sustainability remain variably understood. Aim: This scoping review aims to synthesize current evidence on the integration of digital health, telemedicine, and healthcare service management, with a focus on their impact on quality of care and health system sustainability. Methods: A scoping review design was applied following PRISMA-oriented principles. Literature published between 2020 and 2026 was identified from major scientific databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect. Studies were included if they examined digital health or telemedicine interventions and reported outcomes related to healthcare access, service quality, patient experience, efficiency, or sustainability. Evidence was synthesized across four domains: digital health ecosystem, access to care, service quality, and efficiency–sustainability. Results: The findings indicate that digital health and telemedicine expand healthcare access by reducing geographical and temporal barriers, improve service quality through enhanced coordination and communication, and increase operational efficiency by optimizing resource utilization and reducing unnecessary hospital visits. In addition, digital health contributes to system sustainability by enabling flexible, adaptive service delivery models and improving system resilience. However, these benefits are conditional on factors such as infrastructure readiness, interoperability, governance frameworks, and digital equity. Conclusion: Digital health and telemedicine should be conceptualized as healthcare service-management infrastructure rather than standalone technologies. Their impact on quality and sustainability depends on effective integration with clinical workflows, organizational processes, and policy frameworks. Future health systems must focus on governance, equity, and continuous performance evaluation to realize the full potential of digital transformation.
