Abstract

In the digital era, preserving old documents to prevent damage is a significant challenge. One solution to this problem is to reconstruct damaged or lost documents using image processing and natural language processing technologies. This article discusses the design of a tool for correcting and reconstructing writing in old papers and documents that can be implemented on a mini PC. The tool uses state-of-the-art algorithms such as Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for character recognition and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), as well as Image Inpainting and Sequence-to-Sequence (Seq2Seq) algorithms for document reconstruction. Test results show that this tool can recognize characters with high accuracy and reconstruct damaged or lost documents effectively.

Abstract

Motorcycles are a means of transportation that many people choose for daily transportation. This is because motorbikes are more effective and efficient than cars. However, the rate of loss of motorbikes continues to increase, especially for motorbikes that are rented out. By designing a system that can provide comfort to vehicle renters and increase security in opening a motorbike rental business. Therefore, a system is designed that can monitor the position of motorbikes that can be monitored through an Android application. The motorcycle will be installed with a tracking system using the GPS module, RTC module and nodemcu microcontroller. The GPS module functions to determine the coordinates of the motorbike's whereabouts and is displayed on an Android-based application and the RTC module is used for scheduling notification delivery in the form of messages to tenants when the rental time is up. The results of this study are that the android application can track the position of the motorbike and make it easier for motorbike rental business owners to work.

Abstract

As a two-wheeled vehicle user, a problem that often occurs in the community is the loss of helmets when placed in the parking lot. This can happen due to lack of attention from security personnel at the parking location. Riders who do not use helmets can endanger themselves in the event of an accident. In addition to the use of helmets, speed in driving is one factor that needs to be considered because it has the potential to endanger yourself or others. This study aims to anticipate the occurrence of helmet theft and also provide safety in driving using survey research methods to determine the percentage of ease of use by users. Where the system designed consists of 4 functions, namely, detection of helmet location using the MQTT protocol where if the helmet position with the vehicle has a large distance of 40m then the helmet is detected to have been stolen so that it will issue a warning in the form of sound. The second system is vehicle speed detection using anemometer sensors, if the vehicle is detected to have a large speed of 50km / h then the helmet will issue a sound warning so that the driver can reduce driving speed. The third system is face detection around the helmet using ESP32-Cam, where if the helmet detects an unknown face through the face recognition feature with a distance of 15cm to 60cm from the helmet, the ESP32-Cam will take pictures. The last system is taking pictures periodically to find out the situation around the helmet. Based on research using a questionnaire with 30 samplers, a percentage of 74.95% was obtained, which means that the helmet is easy to use.

Abstract

Alat ini dirancang untuk mendukung kegiatan produksi pada UMKM, terutama dalam bidang pembuatan kue yang melibatkan adonan cair dalam produksinya. Seringkali pemilik usaha kue tersebut mengalami kerugian. Kerugian tersebut disebabkan oleh pengisian adonan yang kurang tepat karena dilakukan secara manual sehingga adonan tersebut memiliki ukuran yang tidak sama. Dengan menggunakan sensor dan komponen elektronik seperti mikrokontroler, pompa diafragma, dan sensor water flow, alat ini mampu memastikan isi atau volume adonan yang dikeluarkan sama pada setiap cetakan, sehingga dapat mengurangi risiko kerugian akibat ukuran kue yang tidak sama besar. Alat ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi ketidaktepatan saat pengisian adonan cair secara manual, sehingga kue yang dihasilkan sama besar untuk setiap cetakannya. Pengujian alat menunjukkan bahwa alat mampu bekerja pada adonan yang memiliki niali viskositas sekitar 1500-3000 cP. Alat ini dapat mengisi adonan sama banyak dengan rata-rata persentase keberhasilan 98,46% dengan 4 nilai viskositas yang berbeda.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in Sanjai Tourism Village is inadequate internet access. Internet access is fundamental nowadays, both in daily activities and in the context of promotional activities for Tourism Villages to attract visitors. One of the aspects of assessing the Indonesian Tourism Village Award is digital creativity. To make this happen, it is necessary to have internet access that everyone can enjoy, including the community, visitors, and the Tourism Village group (Pokdarwis) in the Sanjai Tourism Village. Therefore, in Community Service activities, a Wi-Fi Coin system was designed to improve internet access in the Sanjai Tourism Village. The Wi-Fi Coin System uses coins to access the internet. In addition, the Wi-Fi Coin system can be portable for use in the desired location. The method used consists of three stages: preparation consisting of a survey and needs analysis to obtain data on community needs, especially the Sanjai Tourism Village Pokdarwis. The implementation consists of system design, testing, and implementation. System design and testing were carried out at the Unand Computer Engineering Department. Meanwhile, the implementation was done directly before the Pokdarwis team and the Village Community. Trials and equipment handover to the Sanjai Tourism Village Pokdarwis marked the activity results.

Abstract

The use of technology is fundamental in the digital era. Adjustment and transformation are essential activities to keep up with technological developments. One of the uses of technology is product marketing and promotion. Sanjai Tourism Village, located in Bukittinggi City, is one of the villages where marketing and promotion of tourism products are still carried out using conventional promotional methods such as through newspapers, radio advertisements, posters, and distribution of brochures. This method is still limited and cannot reach a broader scope. Therefore, to compete in the digital era, there needs to be a transformation of promotion and marketing of tourism products through the internet media using a website. Information about promoting and marketing tourism products can be done digitally and online using a website. The results of advertising and marketing tourism village products by utilizing the website can be spread and known to the public with a broader reach. Therefore, in the community service activities of the Unand Computer Engineering Department, the Sanjai Tourism Village website was built with a method consisting of several stages, such as coordination, surveys, design, website implementation, improvement, and submission of the website to Sanjai Tourism Village. Each stage has been carried out, and a website has been produced with features such as a homepage, profile, tourism products of various fields, news and activities, and contacts.
