Abstract

Quality and sorting is one method to classify an observed object and the end result of the inspection process. Quality and sorting can be done manually or automatically where quality and one manually sorting can be done by utilizing the human senses. Quality automatically requires certain tools such as the use of digital cameras to replace the sensory function of the human eye as a visual inspection. By using a digital camera, the camera capture object images obtained is processed via image processing, the processing system can be used as an automated visual inspection for the decision making process quality and sorting. The ability to recognize objects in the form of camera pixel component, can be used to determine the size and color, while the components can be used to determine the level of maturity. This system implemented as automatic visual inspection to determine quality tomato fruit size and maturity level. Results of testing this system is able to recognize 100% ripe tomatoes and 73% were able to recognize the young tomato fruit, the overall ability of the system to recognize the maturity level of the tomato fruit was 86.15%. While the tomatoes quality test based on class size with large, medium and small work 100%. Recognize the success rate of fruit maturity is greatly influenced by the current lighting objects tomatoes in camera capture. We hope this research can be used as input data for the next stage as the data input to the system pemutuan and automatically sorting tomatoes.

Abstract

In designing the quadcopter, the main focus is stability and balance. Thus, in the more specific implementation, for example for aerial photography, a quadcopter can also be used as a load carrier. To be able to balance the quadcopter equipped with an orientation sensor on the controller, the orientation sensor includes a gyroscope sensor, accelerometer, and magnetometer. For this reason, it is necessary to have an autonomous stabilizer mechanism that can make the quadcopter stay in a stable and balanced condition even with the additional load. Furthermore, in this research, we will discuss how to determine the PID set points for quadcopter balance that can be tested on loads with different fulcrums. The test is limited to the condition of the quadcopter being hovered for pitch and roll angles. Based on the testing results, it can be concluded that there is a stability response in the Quadcopter. It can be seen from the RMS value obtained that it is by the steady-state tolerance of 2% -5% of the setpoint. Then, the Quadcopter can carry the maximum load with different fulcrums; 950g for fulcrum in the middle of the quadcopter, 580g for the load is placed 6 cm from the middle of the quadcopter, and 310g if the load is placed on one motor.

Abstract

The need for unmanned vehicles is increasingly needed in certain conditions, such as distribution of disaster supply, distribution of medicines, distribution of vaccines in the affected areas in pandemic situations. The various types of goods to be distributed require a different fulcrum. This research implemented PID control for the quadcopter balance control system to achieve stability during hovering. PID control is used to achieve a certain setpoint to produce the required PWM output for the propeller to reach a speed that can fly the quadcopter tilted until it reaches a steady state. Tests were carried out on the roll and pitch motion of the quadcopter by providing a load. The results show that PID control can be implemented for the quadcopter balance control system during hovering by determining the PID constants for each roll and pitch motion with the constanta of Kp = 0.15, Kd = 0.108, and Ki = 0.05. The quadcopter takes 3 – 6 seconds to return to the 0 degree setpoint when it is loaded.

Abstract

This research was aimed to create an automatic microcontroller-based coffee beans drying machine without the support of sunlight to produce SNI-standardized coffee beans with small content of water or amounted to 12%. The designed machine consists of a tube-shaped container with 50 cm length and 11 cm radius, soil moisture sensor, DS18B20 temperature sensor, heater, motor DC, relay 2 channel and arduino uno microcontroller. The drying works when soil moisture sensor detects 12% of water content from big coffee beans. The drying process is done by applying heater to dry the coffee beans and the motor DC is used as the rotator of the container to evenly dry the coffee beans. The temperature of the drying container is around 51oC-55oC because the surface of coffee beans will be damaged if the temperature is above 55oC. When the water content of coffee beans is low or equal to 12%, the drying process is terminated. The drying process of heavy coffee beans (1kg) with 25.34% of initial water content takes 60 minutes with 11.74% of final water content as the result, While the drying process with the help of sunlight required approximately 310 minutes with 11.83% of final water content. It has been proved that the drying with machine was faster compared to the drying process through sunlight.

Abstract

Daerah perkotaan memiliki perumahan yang padat penduduk sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan masalah apabila terjadi kebakaran. Kebakaran ini dapat disebabkan oleh faktor kelalaian manusia dan faktor alam. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi adalah saat kebakaran terjadi, satuan pemadam kebakaran sering datang terlambat, sehingga kerugian akibat kebakaran terbut menjadi lebih besar. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah sistem yang bekerja secara otomatis ketika kebakaran itu terjadi. Pada penelitian inisistem yang dirancang adalah sistem pendeteksi kebakaran yang bekerja secara realtimedan sekaligus mengetahui lokasi kebakaran terjadi. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor suhu (LM35) dan sensor asap (MQ-9) berbasis mikrokontroler untuk mengukur suhu dan asap kebakaran. Data yang diterima dari kedua sensor akan dikirimkan ke server menggunakan modul wifi (ESP8266).Sistem ini memanfaatkan aplikasi mobile danweb sebagai interface untuk memberikan informasi lokasi kebakaran kepada satuan pemadam kebakaran terdekat dengan menampilkannya pada Google Maps. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat error pembacaan sensor suhu sebesar 1,48% dan sensor asap sebesar 4,85%. Modul mampu terkoneksi ke internet dengan stabil pada jarak 10 m. Sistem pendeteksi kebakaran ini mampu bekerja secara realtime, menampilkan notifikasi pada aplikasi mobile dan web pada saat bersamaan dengan data yang diterima dan menampilkan rute menuju lokasi pada Google Maps.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat suatu prototipe sistem monitoring cuaca dengan menggunakan platform Arduino, web dan perangkat mobile berbasis Android. Terdapat dua sistem pengujian yang akan dibandingkan data keakuratannya. Pada sistem pertama, data dikumpulkan secara  realtime danditampilkan pada laman  web  yang bisa diakses langsung. Identifikasi keakuratan data dengan prakiraan yang diinformasikan BMKG dilakukan dengan perhitungan menggunakan  toolbox fuzzy logic. Pada sistem kedua, metode Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan (JST) Backpropagation digunakan sebagaialgoritma pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan bobot yang sesuai. Data suhu dan  kelembapan  yang didapatkan dari BMKG Kota Padang digunakan sebagai data input yang di-training oleh toolbox JST Backpropagation pada Aplikasi Matlab. Bobot yang sesuai dari hasil  training JST digunakan sebagaifaktor penimbang pada proses testing JST di Arduino. Hasil proses testing mengindikasikan prakiraan cuaca yang dikirim langsung ke handphone Android. Hasil pengujian kedua sistem diperoleh tingkat keberhasilan prakiraan cuaca sebesar 60,94% dengan logika  Fuzzy  dan 78,6% dengan metode  JST Backpropagation.  Kata kunci: Cuaca,  Logika Fuzzy, JST Backpropagation, Arduino

Abstract

Usaha kelompok Tani Mutiara Indah Kabupaten Tanah Datar dalam memproduksi bumbu masakan merupakan salah satu usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) unggulan yang ada di kabupaten Tanah Datar. Permasalahan yang ada pada UKM ini adalah masalah pemasaran produk dan sistem produksi yang masih bersifat pesanan. Salah satu kelemahan sistem pesanan ini adalah waktu perputaran uang yang cukup lama. Pemanfaatan e-commerce merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi kendala pemasaran dan sistem penjualan pada UKM ini. Dengan memanfaatkan internet melalui aplikasi e-commerce membuka peluang bagi UKM Kelompok Tani Mutiara Indah ini untuk memasarkan produknya dan menumbuhkan akses ke jaringan pasar yang lebih luas. Selain itu, transaksi di e-commerce dapat dilakukan dengan tunai tergantung kemampun penjual dalam mendesain sistem penjualan. Hal ini memungkinkan perputaran kas dapat lebih cepat dan memberikan keuntungan yang juga lebih besar. Telah dilaksanakan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk membekali anggota Kelompok Tani Mutiara Indah dengan pengetahuan tentang penggunaan aplikasi e-commerce yang dapat mereka manfaatkan dalam memasarkan produk bumbu secara lebih luas dan memperluas jaringan penjualannya produknya.

Abstract

Produk unggulan nagari adalah produksi utama sebuah nagari dimana sebagian besar masyarakatnya menggantungkan hidup pada produk tersebut. Nagari Bukik Batabuah terkenal dengan produksi unggulan masyarakatnya berupa Susu Kambing. Produk unggulan nagari ini memiliki citra rasa khas dan kualitas yang baik, akan tetapi produk-produk unggulan nagari ini masih hanya dikenal oleh kalangan terbatas dan dipasarkan dalam ruang lingkup yang kecil. Industri susu kambing di nagari Bukik Batabuah di bawah unit pengolahan susu (UPS) kelompok tani Rantiang Ameh. Susu kambing sudah memiliki pasar tersendiri dikarenakan khasiatnya yang banyak untuk kesehatan. Susu kambing dipercayai dapat menyembuhkan penyakit asma, gangguan pernapasan, asam urat, diabetes, osteoporosis, rematik dan mag. UPS Rantiang Ameh baru berproduksi tahun 2014 saat ini pemasarannya menyerap 30 L susu kambing per harinya. Masih rendahnya pengetahuan produsen industri di nagari tentang penggunaan media website, sosial media dan market place menjadikan wilayah pemasaran produk unggulan nagari tidak mengalami perkembangan yang berarti dalam jangka waktu 5 tahun belakangan. Oleh karena itu, pada pengabdian masyarakat ini, program studi Sistem Komputer berencana untuk mengenalkan pemanfaatan digital marketing untuk produk unggulan nagari di Nagari Bukik Batabuah, Kabupaten Agam.

Abstract

The community health centres, or commonly known as Puskesmas in Bahasa, are the backbone for Indonesia citizens in dealing with and fighting against the Covid-19 outbreak. They are the first responders and primary services that is closest to the community. Their healthcare professionals have a very important role as the front lines that identify the symptoms at the village level. It is mandatory that they use adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when examining people's health. With the PPE, healthcare professionals remain protected from the risk of Covid-19 exposure. The lack of PPE availability sometimes makes many officers have to use any available materials as their protection. Addressing the lack of PPE availability in a Puskesmas of a suburban area like Bungus, the Department of Computer Systems, Universitas Andalas, decides to put some innovations into practice. In this community service activity, certain PPE and sterilization tool-aids are designed and developed to protect healthcare professionals from the risk of Covid-19 exposure. Some of the types of equipment provided for the centre are portable sterilization poles, hand sanitizer tool-aids that can be used without having to be touched by hands, face shield in the form of a face-covered hat using mica material that can be reused by washing or wiping it using a disinfectant, and hijack-masks made from spun-bond fabric that is comfortable and waterproof.

Abstract

Kandang Baru is one of 61 development villages in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. The location is very strategic on the trans-Sumatra road, which is the main route connecting the provinces of West Sumatra and Jambi so that it supports the potential and bright prospects in developing economic and socio-cultural development, especially in the tourism sector. This village has good tourism and natural resource potential but has not been exploited either by the government or the local community. With the 2019 PPM Andalas University KKN activities aimed at developing human resources and community empowerment efforts through various creative and innovative work programs, it is expected that the potential can be developed. This activity is carried out with a causal method, which is to carry out work programs based on a SWOT analysis of problems that occur, such as low levels of education, low welfare of the population, conditions of primary schools that are expected, and so on. The results of this activity are summarized in physical and non-physical forms. Physically KKN students succeeded in initiating the construction of the Bukit Capang Tigo geopark tourism area gate (BCT) and have stood beautifully in the area, holding a reading park for elementary students by utilizing the nagari library and other programs. Non-physically, character building is carried out through tutoring, fostering camp tahfidz, and non-physical tourism development in BCT geopark tourism promotion by utilizing social media @KandangBaru Traveling through KKN activities conducted for 40 days, students have succeeded in contributing to Kandang New as a form of community service.
