Abstract

Abstract

The study understood the influence of giving rabbit manure ordure to nitrogen uptake, growth, and yield of pakcoy and how to judge the effect of different doses of rabbit manure on nitrogen uptake, growth, and yield of pakcoy plants. The survey was conducted in October-November 2021. The method used was a non-factorial Block Design of Randomized. The factor consisted of 6 dose levels which were repeated four times. The element was the provision of rabbit manure to pakcoy plants, composed of 6 groups of rabbit manure fertilizer doses. K0 = 0 Kg/ha, K1 = 2500 kg per hectare K2 = 5000 Kg per hectare, K3 = 7500 Kg per hectare, K4 = 10000 Kg per hectare and K5 = 12500 Kg per hectare. The results showed that all observed variables were affected: plant height, leaf number, and leaf area at the age of 27 days after planting. Each K3 variable has better growth and yields, like fresh plant weight and total N uptake. K3 treatment had the best results but was not significantly different from K2, K4, and K5.

Abstract

Utilization of organic fertilizer aims to increase soil fertility and efforts to improve the balance of the corn plant ecosystem. One source of organic fertilizer is black grass jelly waste, both solid and liquid. Black grasss jelly waste is available in excess because factories that produce black grass jelly have not utilized the waste as an alternative to organic fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organic fertilizer from black grass jelly waste both solid and liquid on the abundance of insects and their natural enemies. This research started from September to December 2021. It took place at the Integrated Field Laboratory, Kadiri Islamic University, in Rejomulyo Village, Kediri City, with a pH of 7, daily temperature and humidity (±28.3°C and 72.2%) with rainfall 45 mm/month. Variable observations of downy mildew disease sentitivity index and insect diversity. The results showed that the effect of grass jelly fertilizer had an effect on the level of resistance to downy mildew attacks. In all the insects found were 47 families consisting of 6 orders. On diversity has a moderate value. In terms of evenness and species richness, it was found that all the results had high scores. So that the treatment of solid and liquid fertilizers against insect diversity is very good.

Abstract

Pakcoy mustard greens are a type of rain-resistant vegetable. Pakcoy has green leaves with high nutritional content and economic value. One of the efforts that can be made to increase plant production is by providing fertilizer. Fertilization is carried out in order to meet the nutrient needs of plants, so that they can provide high yields, especially using organic fertilizer so that you can use waste as fertilizer. One type of recycled waste that can be used as organic fertilizer is egg shells, tea dregs and banana peels, each of which contains elements that are good for cultivation. Apart from that, pak choy mustard plants have the main problem that causes damage to pak choy, namely destructive pests that eat pak choy leaves such as plutella caterpillars, tritip caterpillars, armyworms, aphids (Aphids), cabbage spanner caterpillars. This research will be carried out from October to December 2023 at the UNISKA Integrated Field Laboratory. With a height of 67 meters above sea level, the temperature is 31.2◦C, humidity is 62.3% and soil pH is 6. Based on the research results, it shows that there is a very real influ.ence on the observed variables of plant height and number of leaves at the age of 14, 21 and 28 DAP, and it has an effect significant in root length at 28 days after planting. Fresh weight, dry weight, and armyworm pest attacks were lowest at P7.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is one of the fruit vegetables that is widely consumed by Indonesian people, because the people’s need for cayenne pepper continues to increase and the price of fertilizer is increasingly expensive, it is necessary to innovate in the method of cultivating cayenne pepper. Efforts that can be made to produce cayenne pepper plants include finding the best varieties of chili plants and applying organic fertilizer, one of which is solid organic fertilizer made from waste coffee grounds, banana peels and egg shells, where organic fertilizer is safer if used long term. Long and can also reduxe the rate of use of chemical/synthetic fertilizers. The UNISKA Integrated Field Laboratory in Rejomulyo Village, Kediri City District, was the site of this study from December 2023 to August 2024.  Located at an elevation of 67 meters above sea level, this area has a reasonably flat surface. The temperature is 31.2ºC, and the relative humidity is 62.3%.  The land's soil is a sandy regosol, which has a pH of 5.8 and is grayish brown in color.  According to the study's findings, using organic fertilizer had a noticeable effect on the therapy. In the threatment of plant height, number of leaves, and number of fruit there was a significant influence, and when observed, the intensity of the antracnose disease attack was 0% and the yellow disease attack in the positive control was 2.25%.

Abstract

Pineapple is an important commodity in Kediri regency, pineapple is very popular because it tastes sweet and has a sour taste, and contains nutrients and antioxidants. The service activity involved the UNISKA faculty of agriculture in collaboration with the pineapple farmer group and PT. PNM Kediri Branch. The objectives of the activity are identification of pineapple farmers' problems through survey activities, solve problems through survey activities, and solve problems through training activities. Pineapple leaf fiber extraction in Kediri regency is not widely known. Farmers still rely on sales in the aspect of pineapple, so it is necessary to add value to the product. The training was carried out in November 2019. The tools and materials used were a 200 liter tank, decomposing microbes, and water. The output of activity is a cluster map of pineapple farmers in Kediri regency and product diversification from pineapple plants. The results obtained are that farmers can produce fiber from pineapple leaves and business assistance for pineapple plants.
