This study uses a literature review method where the technique used is to collect reading materials and literature specifically and then analyze the content of the study based on the focus of the problems discussed. After finding the matrix or keywords in a poem, the next step in studying poetry based on the approach is determining the theme. The theme is determined to get the main essence in a poem.

Abstract

Linguistics is a branch of science that can maneuver to solve various problems. Linguistics succeeded in canceling the predicate given to laypeople, namely, linguistic science. Linguistics can even solve multiple disciplines, including fiscal and monetary policy issues. Fiscal and economic policies that require analysis of the past, present, and future phenomena can be answered immediately with a linguistic analysis knife. Critical discourse analysis is confidently taking action as a solution to this problem. The holistic interpretative approach used in this study tries to analyze the text by relating and relevant to the context and then abstracting it into a complete picture. This study succeeded in finding that critical discourse analysis can play a role in 3 things related to fiscal and monetary policy, namely: (1) text analysis is an analysis of linguistic elements in sentence construction used in formulating policies, (2) analysis of discourse practice is a background analysis behind the decision-makers who formulate policies and other situations and conditions behind the birth of business economic policies, and (3) analysis of socio-cultural and political is an analysis that is identifying the changes that occur as a result of these policies. This proves the effectiveness of Linguistics in studying fiscal and monetary policy issues.

Abstract

The Palang Pintu tradition is a tradition that is part of the Betawi wedding ceremony. In this study, the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes was used. This study uses extra-qualitative research methods with an interpretive approach as a compliment. This linguistic research is classified as interpretive research because it relies on interpreting texts related to the context in it, such as ideological, moral, cultural, and spiritual values. In this study, the researcher aimed to analyze the meaning of the Palang Pintu procession in terms of semiotics. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that in Palang Pintu, there are 1) meanings of denotation in the procession of the Palang Pintu, processions are starting from the dustur prayer, greetings, rhyme contests, fighting, and reciting the holy verses of the Koran or chanting sike. In the denotative meaning of this Palang Pintu process, apart from explaining the literal sense and describing the process. It also describes the stages of testing for the groom to marry his bride; 2) the connotation meaning in the Palang Pintu procession describes the practice of the teachings and laws of Islam and love for the Prophet Muhammad SAW and family ties; and 3) the myth in the Palang Pintu procession is that there are Betawi solid community principles, namely recitation, prayer, and silat. Abstract

Since the emergence of the application of the idea of democracy as the system of choice, various groups have complained about the evil practices of democratic politics. One of the shooting targets is that we choose the wrong one, namely adopting the model of the majority or liberal democracy. In the literature on democratic theory, one of the relevant theories for improving democratic practice is TDD (Theory of Deliberative Democracy). Although still using the principle of representation, TDD in general makes corrections or improvements to the procedures and substance of democracy which have so far been poorly practiced in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research using a descriptive-analytic method to provide a clear picture of the object of the problem. The conclusion of this study shows evidence of the existence of a democratic model both in substance and procedure. In contrast to the representative mechanism which was originally derived from the theory of representative democracy. There is visible hypocrisy and inconsistency in the implementation of democracy, which has never been considered a complete system.

Abstract

Magna Sententia is a municipality in the province of Neuquén, Argentina. Situated in a region traditionally known for its fruticulture economy, Magna sententia has recently been identified as a potential location for shattering. This development has resulted in widespread opposition among its inhabitants. The fight against breaking into Magna Sententia has followed several channels, from road blockades to art festivals and a legal challenge to the municipality. This paper analyses the conflict is focusing on the forms of community art and media employed by the local assembly against shattering to widen and sustain participation in the struggle and the role that these media have in mediating collective identity processes in the fight against breaking. Building on the concept of mediated identities (Fornäs and Xinaris, 2013), I look at this community art and media practices as dialogical (Kester, 2004). I propose that activities such as art festivals, mural painting and open radios contribute to collective identity through three mediating tactics: participation, knowledge sharing, and the event modality. I argue that these forms of community arts and media can be seen as a productive output of the conflict (Merlinsky, 2015), as they become crucial practices of cultural resistance.
