Abstract

Many treatments for children with ADHD have been carried out, but on the other hand parents who interact directly with them have not been given much specific intervention. Parents with ADHD children are basically prone to experiencing stress in parenting, especially mothers. Interventions need to be carried out to help mothers not feel like they failed in parenting and to prevent the stress effect for the development of their ADHD children. This research was conducted to provide stress management training to reduce the level of parenting stress experienced by mothers with children who have a diagnosis of ADHD. This research is in the form of an experiment by comparing the level of stress experienced by mothers with GPPH children before and after being given training. Training is given over three days for approximately nine hours. Respondents in this study were 10 mothers with ADHD children who had moderate and severe levels of parenting stress based on a parenting stress measurement tool (Daulay & Hadjam, 2020). The results of the dependent t-test in this study were 0.000 <0.05. The results showed that there were differences in parenting stress levels before and after being given stress management training. Therefore stress management training is considered to be able to reduce the level of parenting stress experienced by mothers with ADHD children.

Abstract

Untuk mencapai visi Indonesia Emas 2045, Sumber Daya Manusia yang kelak berperan di masa tersebut perlu memiliki kualitas diri yang positif. Kelompok usia rentang remaja 12-15 tahun akan berada pada usia produktif di tahun 2045. Oleh karena itu, kualitas diri kelompok remaja tersebut perlu dibangun sejak dini dengan membentuk kepercayaan dan konsep diri yang positif guna menghasilkan individu yang matang di masa depan. SMP Brighton sebagai salah satu penyedia layanan pendidikan bagi remaja memegang peran dalam membentuk individu berkualitas diri positif. Sayangnya, remaja di sekolah tersebut masih sering menghadapi tantangan yang menghambat terciptanya kualitas diri yang positif dikarenakan berbagai hal, seperti pubertas, perubahan hubungan sosial, bahkan isu “generation gap”.Program “Self-Care, Self-Love” hadir untuk membantu remaja di lingkungan SMP Brighton dalam meningkatkan kualitas dirinya melalui pemberian edukasi dan promosi tentang perawatan diri. Program diberikan dalam bentuk aktivitas dan diskusi interaktif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara luring selama tiga minggu di sekolah masing-masing dan melibatkan 186 siswa. Tim pengabdi melakukan evaluasi perubahan pemahaman peserta tentang upaya perawatan diri. Temuan dari evaluasi tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang perawatan diri (t=-8.925; sig. 0.000). Temuan ini mengindikasikan Program “Self-Care, Self-Love” mampu meningkatkan pemahaman tentang perawatan diri dan dapat menjadi modal pembentuk kualitas diri remaja.

Abstract

Abstract Community service activities aim to improve students' literacy skills by strengthening teachers' teaching beliefs, as well as assisting teachers in creating a creative learning atmosphere in the classroom. This problem is the main priority of the school based on the results of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) the school still gets a red report card on student literacy and numeracy. Activities will be carried out in the form of in-house training carried out at partner schools. Activities will be carried out with various methods and held in two sessions. The activity was attended by 52 teachers from elementary, MTs and SMK levels and was also attended by foundation and committee representatives from each school. Based on the results of the qualitative evaluation, it was found that the participants were very satisfied with the material provided and were right on target according to the needs of the participants. Empirically, the results of pretest and posttest data analysis show that the mean post test results are much higher than the mean pretest results. The results of paired sample t-test processing show that there are significant differences between pretest and posttest in community service activity participants. These results indicate that the material provided has an impact on participants' understanding of the beliefs in becoming a teacher. There is an increase in understanding experienced by participants who can believe and live their profession as a teacher. Keywords: literacy skills, training, students, teaching self-efficacy, creative teaching Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa dengan memberikan penguatan pada keyakinan mengajar guru, serta membantu guru dalam menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang kreatif di kelas. Permasalahan ini menjadi prioritas utama sekolah berdasarkan hasil Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) sekolah masih mendapatkan rapor merah pada literasi dan numerasi siswa. Kegiatan akan dilakukan dalam bentuk in-house training yang dilaksanakan di sekolah mitra. Kegiatan akan dilaksanakan dengan berbagai metode dan diselenggarakan dalam dua sesi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 52 guru dari tingkat SD, MTs dan SMK dab dihadiri pula oleh perwakilan yayasan dan komite dari masing-masing sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kualitatif didapatkan hasil bahwa peserta kegiatan merasa sangat puas dengan materi yang diberikan dan tepat sasaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta. Secara empirik, hasil analisis data pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa mean hasil post test jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mean hasil pretest. Hasil olah paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan pretest dan postest pada peserta kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa materi yang diberikan cukup memberikan dampak pada pemahaman peserta terhadap keyakinan dalam menjadi guru. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman yang dialami peserta dapat meyakini dan menghayati profesinya sebagai seorang guru. Abstract

Due to the impact of the pandemic, one of the problems that have arisen is the level of stress experienced by mothers, especially in accompanying their children full-time at home, as experienced by mothers in the Pasirtanjung area. Stressful conditions on the mother can negatively impact optimizing maternal care for children, resulting in less than optimal child development. Therefore, psychoeducation is needed to help mothers overcome stressful conditions related to parenting. This psychoeducational activity aims to provide knowledge and skills regarding parenting stress management to mothers during a pandemic in the Pasirtanjung area. With this psychoeducation, mothers can understand and manage the stress that arises in various conditions related to caring for their children so mothers can be more relaxed and more optimal in caring for their children. In addition, ifthe mother can provide optimal care, the child's development will develop optimally. We delivered psychoeducation through a presentation with question-and-answer sessions and video screenings related to stress management. Also, there was a relaxation practice so that mothers feel relaxed. The participants were 31 PKK mothers in Pasirtanjung. Data analysis used the T-test with SPSS 25.00. The results showed no differences in stress levels before and after psychoeducation. There were also no differences in understanding of parenting stress before and after stress management training in parenting. In conclusion, there was no difference in stress levels or understanding related to parenting stress before and after the implementation of psychoeducation. Education level is an essential factor that impacts participants' understanding of the material provided; thus, it needs to be adapted more to the participant's ability.

Abstract

This year's community service was given in a village assisted by Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) located in Jatibarang Indramayu called Bulak Village. This village is a village that contributes quite a lot in sending Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) abroad. This makes many teenagers who have parents who work as PMI. Analyses conducted by UNJ's Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) found that the education level in the village is quite low. Most residents in Bulak Village are primary school graduates and up to the latest data only about 5-10% of residents are college graduates. Many teenagers prefer to work directly as Indonesian Migrant Workers who have not been accompanied by education or the desire to develop skills as preparation. Therefore, this community service is given so that adolescents understand their potential so that they know the fields that are their strengths. This self-understanding will be accompanied by knowledge about achievement motivation so that they can encourage themselves to have the desire to have further education or develop their abilities as preparation for the future. Modules will be compiled by experts in the field of psychology which will be adjusted to the needs and age of participants. It is hoped that with this activity teenagers can recognise themselves and encourage themselves to get a higher education.

Abstract

Abstract Based on Pasal 8 Ayat A Pergub No.32 Tahun 2021 DKI Jakarta area directs that all public schools must accept students with special needs and run inclusive education. The running of inclusive schools cannot be separated from the attitude shown by school residents towards students with special needs. However, the presence of students with special needs is not immediately accepted by the school community, therefore the expected positive attitude does not necessarily arise. This study was conducted with 105 teachers and 286 students in inclusive secondary schools in Jakarta. The measurement tools used were the Chedoke-McMaster Attitudes Toward Children with Handicaps (CATCH) for students and the multidimensional attitudes toward inclusive education scale (MATIES) for teachers. The study results show that most students still show a neutral attitude towards students with special needs. Meanwhile, teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education still do not differ much between positive and negative attitudes. These results show that although it has developed, not most of the school community has shown positive attitudes towards students with special needs and inclusive education as expected.
