Abstract

The main purpose  of this research was to find out the influence of cooperative games to increase the social skill of kindergarten students. In addition, this research was conducted to identify the difference between the social skill of those who received the treatment, and those who did not.The research subjects were 28 kindergarten students from B class  or Big Zero, age 5-6 years old. Random assigment was applied to assign the subjects into experimental group (14 students) and control group (14 students). The social skill was measured by social skill scale.Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design was used as the experimental design of this research, and the data were analyzed by t – Test. The result showed  there was a highly significant difference between the social skill of the experimental group and the control group (t = 10,191 ; p = 0,000). The experimental group showed higher social skill (Mean = 111,857) than the control group (Mean = 53,893).According to the research result, the cooperative games was effective in increasing the social skill of kindergarten students.

Abstract

The problems faced by partners are the lack of children's interest in reading and the lack of library facilities other than school libraries that are specifically available for children. So that the purpose of this service is to increase children's interest in learning and at the same time facilitate children to be able to use the library around them by providing classroom reading programs. The library was the Emha Ainun Najib (EAN) library in Kadipiro Yogyakarta City which is provided for the general public. This dedication means a lot to children and the local librarian. Children live around the EAN library were more enthusiastic to come and read books in the library. This was due to the pleasant library layout supported by interesting books. This activity was also able to respond to children's curiosity to be more interested in reading so that literacy increases. This service recommends that children's reading rooms need attention, including the types of books that need to be adjusted according to age.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perpustakaan desa yang sudah ada namun belum berjalan dengan maksimal. Perpustakaan tersebut adalah perpustakaan Matahati yang terdapat di dusun Ngajaran desa Sidomulyo kecamatan Bambanglipuro Bantul. Metode pelaksanaan dalam pengabdiam ini adalah dengan tahap persiapan yang terdiri dari koordinasi internal tim PKM, survey lokasi kegiatan, mengurus perijinan, pembuatan instrumen PKM dan materi untuk kegiatan di lapangan, melakukan pendampingan dan pelatihan pengelolaan perpustakaan. Tahap akhir dalam pengabdian ini adalah monitoring dan evaluasi sebagai umpan balik pelaksanaan PKM. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya minat membaca anak-anak yang berada disekitar perpustakaan Desa. Selanjutnya pengabdian ini juga mewujudkan terbentuknya koordinasi yang baik antara pengabdi dan pengurus perpustakaan desa yang bertujuan untuk pengembangan perpuatskaan desa agar dapat dimamfaatkan dengan lebih maksimal.

Abstract

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION STRENGTHENING TO IMPROVE PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING OF BURUH GENDONG WOMEN IN GIWANGAN MARKET. Everyone efforts to meet their needs are pursued in various ways in life. A unique thing that happens in Yogyakarta precisely in the Giwangan market is that a number of elderly women continue to make a living in surprising ways. Some elderly women, who were then called buruh gendong, lifted items that were more than normal. With a piece of striated batik cloth, they can lift weights of more than 50 kg. These buruh gendong work from morning till dawn. Its activities have been taken a long time until they have advanced age. Almost all of these workers are Muslims, the problem is that they are tired from working all day and the schedule cannot be ascertained, making them lose their time to worship and do not have time to study. Initial survey results show that many of them have not been able to read the Qur'an. So that this service aims to provide assistance in the context of strengthening the religious character, especially through the Qur'an recitation. The output of this service is expected to create a religious atmosphere in the Giwangan market. The workers work but also can maintain and feel the meaningfulness of their lives through mentoring to strengthen the religious character. This dedication works in collaboration with the Annisa Swasti Foundation (YASANTI), which has long accompanied them in the process of advocating and organizing workers in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

One of the psychological aspects that determine the quality of learning outcomes, it closely relates emotional factors to emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is one of the knowledge models developed in psychology based on various arguments and scientific findings from neuroscience studies and analysis. This article discusses the relationship between emotional intelligence and student achievement. The sample used was 248 high school students in Padang city, and the data analysis technique was Pearson's product-moment correlation. This research study instrument was the emotional intelligence scale, while they obtained student learning achievement from the report card scores in the odd semester of the 2019-2020 school year. The results showed that there was a significant interrelationship between emotional intelligence and student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the learning model cooperative type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on the mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. This study used a quantitative approach and method Quasi Experiment with Posttest Only Control. The research instrument used a test while the data analysis technique uses a hypothesis test with the t test formula. The results of this study proved that the type cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) affects mathematics learning outcomes by being proven by hypothesis testing using the t test as follows. Based on the provisions of t-count> t-table with together, results t-count 13,718 and t-table 1.999 so that the the results of this study explained the significant influence on student learning outcomes. The effect of using the cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) is that students are more active in asking questions  when the teacher is explaining or discussing as well as increasing student interaction in the classroom and learning is not teacher centered. Teacher can use this learning model to increase students’ enthusuasm so that student learning outcomes increase.

Abstract

Produksi sampah terus meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan jumlah penduduk, perubahan pola konsumsi, dan gaya hidup masyarakat. Permasalahan yang teridentifikasi meliputi meningkatkan jumlah timbunan sampah dengan berbagai jenis, dan keberagaman karakteristik sampah. Permasalahan selanjutnya adalah terkait paradigma masyarakat terhadap sampah sampai pada regulasi terkait pengelolaan sampah. Pengelolaan sampah yang baik akan menurunkan jumlah volume sampah yang dibuang ke lingkungan. Hal ini diharapkan menjadi upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut sehingga mendorong lahirnya perilaku hidup yang peduli dan memperhatikan lingkungan hidup sekitar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pelatihan pengolahan sampah untuk dapat lebih bermanfaat dan memberikan edukasi pada masyarakat tentang macam-macam jenis sampah, cara pemilahan serta pengolahan sampah yang bernilai ekonomis. Metode pengabdian yang ditawarkan adalah penyuluhan tentang perilaku hidup sehat dengan peduli lingkungan, selanjutnya memberikan training tentang pengolahan sampah yang sering ditemui sehari-hari, monitoring dan juga evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sangat antusias merubah pola menangani sampah seperti berupaya menghindari penggunaan sampah plastik dan juga berupaya untuk mengolah sampah menjadi pakan ternak ikan salah satunya adalah diadakannya ternak ikan lele dengan pakannya berasal dari pengolahan sampah rumah tangga sehari-hari.

Abstract

The problem of weak communication between members is a major challenge in the Karang Taruna organization of the Ikatan Bina Karya Remaja of Daleman Hamlet. The focus of this service is to strengthen organizational capacity through training in organizational management and communication. The purpose of this activity is to increase the effectiveness of the Youth Organization's role as a forum for youth empowerment. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The implementation strategy includes problem identification, action planning, training implementation, and evaluation and reflection. The results showed an increase in the managerial skills of the board, the formation of an effective communication system between members, and strengthening collaboration in empowerment programs. This training proves that strengthening organizational capacity through a participatory approach can create positive and sustainable changes in the structure and dynamics of Youth Organization.

Abstract

Sibling rivalry merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang terjadi dalam keluarga, yaitu persaingan yang terjadi pada hubungan kakak dan adik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sibling rivalry dalam perspektif Islam. Penelitian ini bercorak kajian literature, artinya sumber datanya berasal dari bahan-bahan tertulis seputar topik yang dibahas. al- Qur’an sebagai objek kajian, sehingga sumber rujukan utama dan pertamanya mushaf al-Qur’an, dengan fokus pada ayat yang berbicara tentang sibling rivalry terdapat dalam al Qur’an Surah al Mai’dah ayat : 27-31 yang bercerita tentang kisah Habil dan Qabil. Berdasarkan konsep Islam yang dimaksud denga sibling rivalry adalah 1). al-Ukhuwwah Islamiyyah atau persaudaraan dalam Islam, 2) al-ukhuwwah an-nasaliyyah atau persaudaraan keluarga, 3) al-Ukhuwwah al-Wathaniyyah atau persaudaraan sebangsa dan 4) al-Ukhuwwah al-Basyariyyah atau persaudaraan sesama manusia. Persaudaraan yang dimaksudkan adalah bukan menurut ikatan geneologi, tapi menurut ikatan iman dan agama. Sehingga dalam pengertiannya mempunyai konsep persaudaraan yang beragam, karena dalam al Qur’an penjelasan tentang persaudaraan berbeda sesuai dengan konteks sebuah ayat. Abstract

Teachers at vocational high schools often struggle to manage their time effectively due to heavy workloads and diverse responsibilities. This study investigates the effect of self-regulation on time management, with grit as a mediating variable. Self-regulation refers to the ability to control behavior, set goals, and maintain focus, while grit reflects persistence and passion for long-term goals. Using a quantitative ex-post facto design, data were collected from 92 SMK teachers through total sampling. Three psychological scales were used: the self-regulation scale, the grit-short scale, and the time management scale. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and mediation analysis using PROCESS Macro (Model 4) in SPSS 25. Results show that self-regulation has a positive and significant effect on time management through grit, which serves as a full mediator. This means self-regulation enhances time management only when accompanied by high levels of grit. The findings highlight the need to foster both self-regulation and grit in teacher development programs. Keywords: grit, self-regulation, teachers, time management, vocational high schools
