Abstract

This article discusses the importance of lecturer professionalism in achieving national education goals in universities, especially in the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Bumigora University. The professionalism of lecturers includes pedagogic, professional, personality, and social competencies, which play a role in creating a quality educational environment. This study explains how the evaluation of lecturer performance is carried out through questionnaires filled out by students and how the results of this evaluation are used to motivate lecturers to improve the quality of education. The evaluation results show that the level of student satisfaction with the overall performance of lecturers is very good, but there is still room for improvement. Social Competence was rated highest, while Personality Competence had the lowest level of satisfaction. These results show that the professionalism of lecturers in terms of social interaction can be improved. Evaluation of lecturer performance is an important step in ensuring the quality of higher education and encouraging lecturers to continuously improve their professionalism. This article concludes that efforts to improve the professionalism of lecturers need to continue so that higher education remains of high quality and in accordance with national education goals

Abstract

Character education plays a significant role in shaping the personality of individuals, especially the younger generation in facing the challenges of modern society. Parents play a major role in teaching moral and ethical values to children. This community service aims to increase the role of parents in character education to minimize juvenile delinquency. Through a socialization approach, this activity was carried out in Salut Kendal Hamlet, North Lombok Regency with the cooperation of the NGO Yayasan Seleksa Sejahtera Mataram. From this community service activity, it is hoped that parents can play a greater role in strengthening character education in children to prevent juvenile delinquency. An understanding of character education and the role of parents is essential in making good decisions, especially in educating children holistically

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran penduduk Desa Jagaraga, Kecamatan Kuripan, Lombok Barat, tentang pentingnya pendidikan 12 tahun. Berfokus pada anak-anak yang seringkali putus sekolah sebelum waktunya karena berbagai faktor, program ini menerapkan strategi sosialisasi berbasis diskusi interaktif yang melibatkan anak-anak dan orang tua. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang manfaat menyelesaikan pendidikan menengah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam empat tahap: 1) survei dan identifikasi kebutuhan, 2) penyusunan materi sosialisasi, 3) pelaksanaan sosialisasi, dan 4) evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan di kalangan orang tua dan anak-anak mengenai pentingnya pendidikan 12 tahun. Diskusi interaktif terbukti efektif dalam mengubah persepsi dan memotivasi masyarakat terhadap pencapaian pendidikan. Studi ini menyoroti  efektivitas diskusi interaktif berbasis masyarakat dalam mempromosikan kesadaran pendidikan, sebuah strategi yang belum banyak diterapkan di wilayah ini. Namun, studi ini juga menggarisbawahi perlunya intervensi lebih lanjut untuk mengatasi kendala ekonomi dan aksesibilitas yang masih menjadi tantangan besar bagi pencapaian pendidikan di Desa Jagaraga.Abstract: This community service activity aimed to increase awareness among residents of Jagaraga Village, Kuripan Subdistrict, West Lombok, about the importance of 12 years of education.  Focusing on children who often discontinue their education prematurely due to various factors, the program employed an interactive discussion-based socialization strategy involving both children and parents. This approach aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the benefits of completing secondary education. The activity was conducted in four stages: 1) survey and identification of needs, 2) preparation of socialization materials, 3) implementation of socialization, and 4) evaluation and follow-up.  Results indicated a significant increase in understanding among parents and children regarding the importance of 12 years of education. The interactive discussions proved effective in changing perceptions and motivating the community towards educational attainment. This study highlights the efficacy of community-based interactive discussions in promoting educational awareness, a strategy not widely implemented in this region. However, it also underscores the need for further interventions to address economic constraints and accessibility issues that remain significant challenges to educational attainment in Jagaraga Village

Abstract

This study aims to design a science comprehension assessment instrument for grade IV force and motion material in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level test, and differentiation of questions, and effectiveness test for multiple choice questions. This research is a development research of Borg & Gall's RDR (Research Development Research) model. The subject of this research assessment is a science comprehension assessment instrument. The data collection method of this research uses an objective test method. The test instrument used is a multiple choice objective test and true false to assess students' understanding of science. The content validity data analysis method uses the content validity coefficient -Aiken's V. The results of this study are the content validity test obtained a score of more than or equal to 0.5 including the high category, the item validity test produced 13 valid test items, the test reliability test of 0.501 including high criteria, the analysis of the differential power of the questions did not obtain questions with very good criteria, 3 good questions, 6 questions were quite good, and 4 questions were bad or not good, the analysis of the level of difficulty obtained the results that there were 9 questions with easy criteria, Based on the results of this study, the science understanding assessment instrument (C2) in the form of multiple choice and true-false test instruments that have been developed is declared to meet the criteria for good instrument quality.

Abstract

To improve the quality of learning outcomes, there is a need for studies that write about physics learning assessment in the form of high order thinking skill assessment, project-based, cognitive assessment and psychomotor assessment. The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze and demonstrate step-by-step bibliometric data analysis using VOSViewer. A step-by-step tutorial is provided to make VOSViewers easier to use for first-time users. Thus, physics learning assessment can be integrated with other fields of study. This study presents data analysis related to physics learning assessment for a decade (2013-2022) using the mapping tool in VOSViewer. The method used is descriptive and qualitative to detail the performance of bibliometric analysis by creating network visualizations of selected topics. From the search results, 993 relevant journals published in 2013-2022 were found, which were then divided into 10 categories based on the year of publication. After analyzing the journal data, we found that the largest number of articles were published in 2016-2018. There are many ways to discover new things about this topic. This review is intended as a guideline for teachers/lecturers in using learning assessment and for authors conducting research and identifying future research topics.

Abstract

The development process of elementary school age students is greatly influenced by various factors, both internal and external. This article aims to describe the factors that influence the development of elementary school students. The type of research used in this research is library research with a qualitative research approach. The library data in this research is secondary or supporting data. The data collection technique in this research is documentation study. The data sources used are books and journals related to the selected topic. The data analysis used in this research is content analysis. Based on the research results, it was found that in general the factors that influence the development of elementary school students are internal factors and external factors. Factors that influence the development of elementary school age students include: Physical development and physical experience of children, intelligence and IQ, children's learning experiences, environmental factors (family environment, play environment, and school environment).

Abstract

This study aims to systematically analyze and demonstrate bibliometric data analysis using VOSViewer. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the data on teacher professionalism. So it can be concluded that teacher professionalism can be combined with other fields to be studied. This study presents an analysis of data regarding teacher professionalism and its development over sixteen years (2008–2023) by utilizing the mapping tool in VOSViewer. To describe the performance of bibliometric analysis by producing a network visualization of the selected topic using a qualitative descriptive method. From the search results, 989 relevant published journals were found, ranging from 2008–2023, which were then grouped into 16 categories according to the year of publication. The results of this research on professional teachers found that the most published articles were in 2016-2021. We can see items supporting the formation of a professional as a teacher. Therefore it is necessary to carry out activities or support to increase teacher professionalism such as conducting classroom action research (PTK), conducting coaching, participating in MGMP and other activities.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore trends in artificial intelligence research in education over the past 20 years. The method used to explore research trends is literature review through bibliometric analysis. The results of bibliometric analysis identify the core research or authors, as well as their relationships, by covering all related publications or specific fields. Publications related to artificial intelligence in education from 2003-2023 are taken from international journals indexed by Google Scholar. Research trends of artificial intelligence in education are visualized using the Vosviewer program. The results showed that the trend of artificial intelligence research in education is vulnerable in the last 20 years, namely artificial intelligence, future trends, educational programs, databases, students and technology.

Abstract

Aim for know ability representation mathematical in finish questions on the material system linear equations of two variables (SPLDV) are reviewed of student self-efficacy class VIII SMPN 1 Praya Timur. As for Sujek in study This consists of 3 of 28 students class VIII which has categories of high self-efficacy, medium self-efficacy and low self-efficacy. Types of research This is study qualitative descriptive. Instruments used​ in study This is questionnaire, question test ability representation mathematics and guidelines interview. Procedure data collection used in study This that is documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out with method reducing data, presenting data, and interesting conclusion. Checking validity of the data used triangulation technique. Research result show that ability representation mathematical student class VIII SMPN 1 Praya Timur is divided into 3 (three) categories, namely student with high self-efficacy category capable shows 3 aspects ability representation mathematical that is visual representation, representation equality or expression mathematics, and representation of words or text written, whereas student with moderate self-efficacy category only capable shows 2 aspects ability representation mathematical that is representation equality or expression mathematics, and representation of words or text written. Temporary That student with low self-efficacy category only Can shows 1 aspect ability representation mathematical that is representation equality or expression mathematical.
