Abstract

The test is a tool to collect information about the achievement of learning objectives so that the test must have good quality in order to be able to measure students' abilities accurately. To determine the quality of the test, it is necessary to do an analysis, one of which is the Rasch model approach. This study aims to analyze the quality of the final semester test results in learning mathematics—sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 56 students of Junior High School (SMP) in Yogyakarta, consisting of 25 males and 31 females. The test instrument consists of 40 multiple choice questions with the correct answer given a score of 1 and the wrong answer being given a score of 0. Therefore, the data obtained is dichotomous. The test kits were analyzed by applying the Rasch model. The study results obtained an estimate of the validity of item fit, where the questions analyzed had an INFIT MNSQ value between 0.94 - 1.11 and all questions with an OUTFIT value t ≤ 2.00; thus, 40 items fit according to the Rasch model. The characteristics of the test questions based on the Rasch model have a very difficult difficulty level of 0 items by 0%. The difficult category is three items at 7,5%, the medium category is 20 items at 50%, the easy category is 17 items at 42.5%, and 0% for the very easy category. The reliability of the case estimate value is 0.00 in the medium category, and the reliability of the item estimate value is 0.85 in the very high category. The implication of this research is additional knowledge regarding the Rasch analysis of mathematical problem models as a graduation standard.

Abstract

Abstract

Education in the 21st century is learning to prepare a generation that prioritizes advances in information and communication technology (ICT) as a medium for students to develop products in the form of animated videos, demonstrations and experiments. This study aims to produce valid, interesting, and effective learning media. This research is an ADDIE development research with five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were three high school students with 60 students and three teachers and two validators—data collection instruments in questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique in this research and development is a descriptive statistical analysis technique of percentages to process data from the validator's assessment, student responses and test results. Qualitative descriptive describes data in the form of suggestions and comments from the validator. The animation video media validation results obtained an average score of material expert validation, and media expert validation obtained a percentage of 84%, classified as very good. The results of the student response questionnaire to the learning media obtained a percentage of 86% with an exciting category. Finally, the test results obtained 100% results with effective criteria where all students met the minimum standard of completeness set by the school, namely 76 for chemistry subjects.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the test instrument used to measure the ability of students in the odd final exam in mathematics. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. These students consist of 398 students. The questions given are in the form of multiple-choice questions with a total of 40 items. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis. Data analysis was carried out using the Item Response Theory (IRT) Rasch model approach with the help of QUEST software. The results of the analysis show, from 40 items there are 39 items fit with the Rasch model. Judging from the level of difficulty, items with very difficult categories are 0%, difficult categories are 8 items or 21%, moderate item categories are 23 items or 59%, easy categories are 8 items or 21%, and very easy categories are 0 %. The reliability of the estimatedvalue of the item is 0.95 with a very good category so that it affects the items that fit the model. Thehigher reliability, the more items that fit the model. The reliability of the case estimate value is 0.00with a weak category. This value indicates an inconsistency in the answers of the test takers, whichmeans that the test takers are careless in answering the questions, thus affecting the reliability ofthe questions.
