Abstract

Abstrak Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika masih kurang memberikan kesempatan pada siswa untuk aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.  Hal ini berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa.  Upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika adalah dengan variasi model pembelajaran.  Pada penelitian ini dibandingkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match (MM) dan Numbered Head Together (NHT).Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 34 Batam yang berjumlah 6 kelas dengan total 212 siswa. Dari populasi diambil 2 kelas yaitu VIIIb dengan 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VIIIe dengan 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 2.  Kelas eksperimen 1 menggunakan tipe Numbered Head Together dan kelas eksperimen 2 menggunakan tipe Make a Match.Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 1 dengan tipe Numbered Head Together adalah 82,28 dan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 2 dengan tipe Make a Match adalah 80,78. Analisis data dengan uji t diperoleh thitung (0,5539)ttabel (1,994) menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan dari hasil belajar matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match (MM) dan Numbered Head Together (NHT). Kata kunci: make a match, numbered head together, pembelajaran kooperatif, hasil belajar matematika. Abstract The fact on the field show that learning math is very less to giving opportunity to the student to be active in the process. This case enhance outcomes of learning process. The effort to increase the outcomes of learning math is use variation of learning models.  This research is to compare the learning outcomes with cooperative learning models, Make a Match type and Numbered Head Together type.Population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Batam from   six classes with 212 students. From the population is taken two classes, VIIIb with 36 students as 1st experimental class and VIII E with 36 students as 2ndexperimental class. Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) telah menghadirkan berbagai inovasi dalam metode pengajaran matematika. Teknologi membuka pintu untuk pembelajaran yang lebih mudah dan menyenangkan, yang dapat meningkatkan minat serta pemahaman siswa terhadap matematika. Faktanya, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran masih belum dilakukan oleh sebagian besar guru. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media yang dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru Mental Aritmatika ASMA Batam. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Secara keseluruahan kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusias peserta selama mengikuti kegiatan dan hasil evaluasi yang diberikan setelah berakhirnya kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi secara keseluruhan peserta kegiatan merasa puas dengan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dengan persentase kepuasan adalah 76,9% mengatakan sangat puas dan 21,1% puas.

Abstract

This research aims to review the literature related to the use of learning media in enhancing mathematical creative thinking skills. The method applied in this research is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). As many as 20 articles were used as data sources in this study. Data were collected by reviewing all articles obtained from the period 2018 to 2023. To complete this research, various journal articles were collected through Google Scholar with the help of the Harzing's Publish or Perish application. The keywords in this article are "learning media and mathematical creative thinking skills." The research results show that the R&D (Research and Development) research method is used more frequently, accounting for 55%, compared to other research methods, with the topic of using electronic learning media to enhance students' mathematical creative thinking skills. Furthermore, the use of electronic learning media, such as e-comics, e-modules, learning videos, educational games, mobile learning, edutainment games, visual videos, Adobe Flash Professional, Go-Metra board games on geometry transformation material, Articulate Storyline 3, and e-learning, is effective in improving students' mathematical creative thinking skills. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide useful information for other researchers and assist educators in applying learning media to enhance students' mathematical creative thinking skills in the 21st-century learning era.

Abstract

Background: The oxeye snail (Turbo argyrostoma) is a marine gastropod commonly harvested by coastal communities for consumption. Intensive and unregulated harvesting may lead to population decline, raising concerns for ecosystem stability and resource sustainability. This activity directly reduces the population of T. argyrostoma in coastal waters. This study aims to determine the abundance and the correlation between the length-weight and condition factors of T. argyrostoma in the waters of Batam, Riau Islands. Method: This study was performed from September to October 2024. Sampling was conducted at three locations: Kajang Island, Piring Island, and Layang Island. The sampling method conducted was purposive sampling. Water quality measurements were carried out in situ. Abundance was determined based on the number of individuals per unit area. Morphometric data were collected by measuring the body dimensions of T. argyrostoma using digital callipers. Next, the length-weight relationship was analysed using linear regression to determine growth patterns. Results: The aquatic environment met the quality standards set by the Minister of Environment, as outlined in Decree No. 51/2004. The highest abundance of T. argyrostoma was observed at Kajang Island (1.37 ind/m²). Morphometric measurements showed mean shell length (SL) of 39 ± 4.83 mm, weight (W) of 21.3 ± 4.58 g, and shell width (SW) of 30.3 ± 3.25 mm in Layang Island samples. A positive length–weight relationship was identified at all stations (r = 0.73, 0.45, 0.78) with allometric growth coefficient (b) values indicating growth patterns. Condition factors (K and Wr) varied across locations: 6.766 and 70.340 at Piring Island; 6.518 and 103.984 at Kajang Island; and 6.229 and 101.037 at Layang Island, respectively. Conclusion: A positive length–weight relationship was observed at all sites, and variation in condition factors suggests differing ecological pressures. The low Wr value at Piring Island may indicate environmental stress or higher predation pressure.

Abstract

Lola snails (Rochia niloticus) are biota that are widely consumed by coastal communities in Batam waters. Even though it is not a favored commodity, exploitation that does not consider sustainability can lead to population scarcity in nature. This research aims to collect comprehensive data regarding the abundance, morphometrics, and weight-length relationship of Lola snails in the waters of Sarang Island, Batam. Sampling was carried out at 3 locations, including Kajang, Piring, and Layang Islands. The Lola snail sampling method was carried out using purposive sampling. Water quality measurements are carried out in situ. Morphometric data were collected by measuring the body dimensions of Lola snails using digital calipers. Abundance was determined based on the number of individuals per unit area, and the length-weight relationship was analyzed using linear regression to determine growth patterns. The research results show that the condition of the aquatic environment still meets the environmental quality standards set by the Ministry of Environment No. 51 of 2004. The abundance of Lola snails was in range of 0.22- 0.97 ind/m2, and the highest was found on Kajang Island. The results of morphometric measurements showed that the highest shell length, weight, and shell width were observed in Lola snail samples from Kajang Island with values of 48.40 25.28 mm, 68.77 101.55 mg, and 44.42 23.28 mm. There is a relationship between the growth patterns of Lola snails caught at three stations which have negative allometric growth patterns, where Kajang Island, Piring Island, and Layang Island have negative allometric growth patterns (b3) with exponential values of 0.9685, 1.5121, and 2.5471, respectively. The value of relative weight condition factor (Wr) shows a value close to 100 on Kajang, Piring, and Layang Island, namely 102.753 and 104.812, 99.654, which indicates that Lola snails were in good condition during the research.

Abstract

The environmental crisis, known as the ecological crisis, is becoming more widespread. It demands our care as human beings who assume the role of khalifah on earth to actively participate in preventing more massive environmental damage. Man can’t live alone without the support of various resources that exist in his environment. However, the awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting the natural is still lacking. Environmental education is expected to be a vehicle to educate the general public and learners, in particular, to better understand the global environmental crisis phenomenon and foster an attitude to be more concerned with the environment, by internalizing religious values. Building an ecologically-based religious spirit should be conducted simultaneously and sustainably at all levels and compositions of the community especially Muslims, given that the ecological crisis has a universal impact. Recognizing the role of human as a caliph who is in charge of safeguarding and managing nature and the consequences of damaging the environment in terms of Islamic perspective is expected to arouse public awareness to participate actively in maintaining, managing wisely and preserving the surrounding environment. Keywords: environmental ethics; environmental education; conservation; Islam.

Abstract

Pollution that often occurs at sea is heavy metal pollution. Heavy metals that often pollute are Lead metals (Pb). Heavy metal pollution that occurs often has an impact on plants and animals that live in the sea. Animals that are often contaminated with heavy metals are snails because of the nature of snails that can accumulate metals due to their persistent nature, filter feeders, slow movements to avoid metal pollution. The purpose of this study is to reduce metal pollution in seafood, one of the ways that can be done by soaking seafood using organic acids such as tamarind and lime, because organic acids contain citric compounds that can bind to metals. This type of research is an experimental research design with Randomized Pretest-posttest control group design. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Metal content analysis was carried out using the Perkin Elmer Type PinAAcle 900T brand AAS. The results were obtained that tamarind can decrease Pb metal levels in the bark snail meat at optimum conditions at a concentration of 10%, immersion time of 60 minutes and a percentage reduction of 47.1%. While the optimum condition of lime occurs at 10% concentration and soaking time is 30 minutes with a 25% percent decrease. So it can be said that tamarind is better in reducing metal content compared to Lime
