Abstract

During the pandemic, the teaching profession faces substantial challenges with regard to the switch from in-classroom teaching to online formats, requiring adjustments in planning, work methods, course design etc. Teachers need materials such as books and exercise papers which are suitable and adequate for online courses. So far, the exercise book Aspekte Neu B2 which was designed for in-classroom teaching is being used in a number of universities and language institutes in Indonesia. Whether it can also be used for online courses deserves to be scrutinized. This study solely examines the usage of Aspekte Neu B2 in respect of online classes. The aim is to determine to which degree it meets the general requirements of the Kriterienkatalog für Internet Lernmaterial Deutsch als Fremdsprache (list of criteria in respect of internet learning tools for German as a foreign language). The underlying research method of this study is the qualitative, ie. descriptive-analytical method. Only the online exercises of Aspekte Neu B2 were taken into consideration, ie. not the digital version of the course book. Results indicate that 55.4% of the book’s online exercises are in compliance with general criteria referring to technique, interactivity, exercise & quests, as well as feedback. It was not required for this study for an online exercise to fulfill all of the listed criteria. However, it was found that the online exercises of the book should be adapted to the online formats. That, at least, would help instructors choosing relevant training material for their online classes.

Abstract

Dalam pengajaran keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa dituntut untuk berlatihkemandirian dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas tertentu. Untuk mencapai tujuantersebut pengajar dapat memberikan tugas mandiri yang dapat diselesaikan olehmahasiswa, baik secara sendiri maupun berkelompok. Dalam bahasa Jermantugas-tugas yang demikian disebut dengan Projektarbeit. Dalam menyelesaikantugas-tugas tersebut mahasiswa dilatih untuk membuat perencanaan, memilihtema dan bentuk presentasi serta melakukan evaluasi tugas mereka secaramandiri.

Abstract

Matakuliah‘Mündlicher Ausdruck I’ merupakan salah satu matakuliahketerampilan berbicara yang harus diambil oleh mahasiswa Jurusan PendidikanBahasa Jerman Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Bandung. Dalam perkuliahan‘Mündlicher Ausdruck I’ ini mahasiswa berlatih untuk belajar secara lebihmandiri. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut pengajar/dosen dapat memberikantugas-tugas yang dapat diselesaikan oleh mahasiswa baik secara perseoranganmaupun secara berkelompok. Tugas-tugas yang demikian dalam bahasa Jermandisebut ‘Projektarbeit’. Dalam menyelesaikan satu ‘Projektarbeit’ mahasiswaharus merencanakan, memilih tema dan bentuk presentasi, dan mengevaluasihasil pekerjaan mereka secara mandiri. Salah satu bentuk presentasi yang dapatdipilih misalnya ‘debat pro dan kontra’. Untuk tema ‘sekolah’ mahasiswa dapatmenampilkan debat dengan peran-peran tertentu, seperti moderator, posisi pro,posisi kontra dan peran pendukung posisi pro dan kontra dari audiens. Siapauntuk peran apa ditentukan oleh mahasiswa sendiri.

Abstract

Dalam pengajaran keterampilan membaca biasanya mahasiswa atau pembelajar dalam satu kelas mengerjakan tugas-tugas yang sama. Tetapi tugas-tugas tersebut diselesaikan dalam waktu yang berbeda, karena perbedaan kemampuan membaca , tipe pembelajar atau tipe intelegensi mahasiswa. Oleh sebab itu hasil belajar keterampilan membaca mereka juga berbeda. Dari observasi awal pada Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman diketahui bahwa kemampuan rata-rata mahasiwa dalam membaca teks bahasa Jerman masih relatif rendah, yaitu 6,1 dalam skala 10. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tujuan untuk melihat penerapan konsep Binnendifferenzierung dalam pengembangan keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Jerman. .Binnendifferenzierung adalah suatu konsep pengajaran yang diterapkan dalam proses belajar dengan pemberian tugas yang berbeda yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi pembelajar yang berbeda pula. Subyek penelitian adalah 31 mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman yang mengontrak mata kuliah Arbeit mit Lesetexten (Bekerja dengan Teks bacaan). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, diskusi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Binnendifferenzierung dapat efektif diterapkan dalam pengajaran keterampilan membaca dengan berbagai variasi. Mahasiswa merespons penerapan konsep tersebut dengan sangat positif. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari catatan lapangan; peningkatan hasil tes pada siklus pertama yaitu menjadi 6,4 dan pada siklus kedua 7,7; serta hasil angket.

Abstract

Textbooks are included in the supporting components in learning, therefore textbooks have a very important role in realizing education in accordance with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of the 2013 Curriculum in the 10th grade. Core Competencies and Basic Competencies in the 2013 Curriculum are a reference in making material and practice questions in textbooks, so that learning in schools is in accordance with the standards set by the government. However, not all textbooks are in accordance with the standards and needs of each level of learners. Research on  textbooks was conducted to determine the suitability of the content of the Netzwerk A1 Kursbuch textbooks with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of the 2013 Curriculum for class X. The textbook used as research material or the corpus in this research is the Kursbuch Netzwerk A1 book. The purpose of this study is to describe the suitability of the material in the Netzwerk A1 book with Core Competencies and Basic Competencies for 10th grade class and describe the suitability of practice questions in the Netzwerk A1 book with Core Competencies and Basic Competencies for 10th grade class. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The data analysis technique in this research is content analysis using documentation studies to collect data in the form of material and practice questions in the Kursbuch Netzwerk A1 book. After collecting the data, then the data is analyzed for compatibility with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of 10th grade class. The results of the analysis showed that the Kursbuch Netzwerk A1 book is not all in compatible with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of 10th grade class, because the scope of the Kursbuch Netzwerk A1 book is still too broad to be a supporter of learning for 10th grade students. Based on the data obtained, there are 71 materials with 21 data or 29.60% in accordance with 18 materials in 1st semester and 3 materials in 2nd semester relevant, 11 data or 15.50% less relevant and 39 data or 54.90% not relevant. Then the data obtained for practice questions as much as 429 with 66 data or 15.38% according to 48 practice questions in 1st semester and 18 practice questions in 2nd semester relevant, 30 data or 7.00% less relevant and 333 data or 77.62% not relevant.The results showed that the material and practice questions in the Kursbuch Netzwerk A1 book were not all or only a small part is compatible with the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies of 10th grade class because the book is a wider range of themes and materials, as well as the practice questions for 10th grade students.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and ability of SMA/SMK students in Bogor and surrounding areas in facing the oral exam German language level A2 (Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch), in preparation for the National German Olympiad. National German Olympiad. Through a blended learning approach, the training training was conducted online using the LMS platform Moodle LMS platform and offline through live simulations. The training includes an introduction to the exam format, practice questions, and oral exam simulation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in in student comprehension, with the average score of the of the oral exam increased from 16% to 72%. Implementation of Moodle in this activity was effective in preparing students for the online oral exam and supports improving the quality of German language learning. The results of this activity is expected to be an inspiration for the implementation of similar programs in the future.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of spoken language features in Netzwerk A1, a German language textbook used at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Through qualitative descriptive analysis, the research identifies twelve distinct spoken language features, categorized into Dialekt (6.7%), Standardsprache (25%), and Alltagsprache (58.3%). The findings reveal that two-thirds of these features directly support speaking and listening skills development, while one-third contribute indirectly. Notable findings include Chapter 7's focus on informal written communication in social media contexts. The study demonstrates how Netzwerk A1’s incorporation of authentic spoken language features enhances students' exposure to native speaker communication patterns.
