During the pandemic, the teaching profession faces substantial challenges with regard to the switch from in-classroom teaching to online formats, requiring adjustments in planning, work methods, course design etc. Teachers need materials such as books and exercise papers which are suitable and adequate for online courses. So far, the exercise book Aspekte Neu B2 which was designed for in-classroom teaching is being used in a number of universities and language institutes in Indonesia. Whether it can also be used for online courses deserves to be scrutinized. This study solely examines the usage of Aspekte Neu B2 in respect of online classes. The aim is to determine to which degree it meets the general requirements of the Kriterienkatalog für Internet Lernmaterial Deutsch als Fremdsprache (list of criteria in respect of internet learning tools for German as a foreign language). The underlying research method of this study is the qualitative, ie. descriptive-analytical method. Only the online exercises of Aspekte Neu B2 were taken into consideration, ie. not the digital version of the course book. Results indicate that 55.4% of the book’s online exercises are in compliance with general criteria referring to technique, interactivity, exercise & quests, as well as feedback. It was not required for this study for an online exercise to fulfill all of the listed criteria. However, it was found that the online exercises of the book should be adapted to the online formats. That, at least, would help instructors choosing relevant training material for their online classes.

tujuan pembelajaran. Salah satu media digital yang dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran bahasa, termasuk pada pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara, adalah Plotagon Story. Plotagon Story merupakan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat diunduh oleh pembelajar menggunakan smartphone dan memproduksi video animasi dengan mudah. Dengan Plotagon Story, pembelajar dapat membuat figur animasi, merekam suara, dan memilih latar video yang diinginkan. Dalam artikel ini dijelaskan bagaimana langkah-langkah Plotagon Story diterapkan dan bagaimana tanggapan pembelajar terhadap penggunaan aplikasi tersebut dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman bagi pemula. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana tanggapan dari pembelajar terhadap penerapan Plotagon Story dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman bagi pemula, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan membuat kuiseoner yang harus diisi oleh pembelajar. Pada kuesioner, pembelajar menjelaskan alasan mengapa mereka menyukai atau tidak menyukai aplikasi Plotagon Story dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman. Di samping itu, pembelajar menjelaskan kendala yang dihadapi saat pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan Plotagon Story. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa 92,6% pembelajar menyukai penggunaan aplikasi ini. Sebagian besar pembelajar memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan Plotagon Story dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman dan dapat mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi saat pembuatan video menggunakan Plotagon Story.

Motivated by the need to understand the role of digital tools such as Moodle in foreign language learning, this study explores the acceptance and use of Moodle by students in the German Language Education Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Using a mixed-method approach, we examined students’ acceptance of Virtuelles Klassenzimmer (VKZ), a Moodle-based e-learning platform, within the technology acceptance model (TAM) framework. 246 students were surveyed using a structured questionnaire encompassing both quantitative and qualitative components. Quantitative data aligned with TAM constructs (perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), attitude toward using (ATU), and behavioral intention (BI)) were analyzed using mean and standard deviation (SD) values. Qualitative data from open-ended questions on VKZ’s advantages and disadvantages were examined using thematic analysis. Results indicate that students generally responded positively to using Moodle in German classrooms, appreciating its benefits in enhancing language learning. However, concerns about Moodle’s usability and mobile compatibility were also identified. This study proposes improvements in Moodle’s design and functionality to address these issues, emphasizing its potential in language education. Future research should explore these findings in diverse educational contexts to enhance the application of digital tools in language learning.

Hasil observasi menunjukkan salah satu kendala dilapangan adalah bahwa siswa masih memiliki pemahaman yang minim mengenai bentuk soal dan format uji kompetensi Bahasa Jerman tingkat A2 yang diselenggarakan secara online. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut adalah dengan memberikan kesempatan pada para siswa untuk melakukan simulasi latihan ujian dengan memanfaatkan Learning Management System (LMS) untuk simulasi ujian kompetensi bahasa Jerman merupakan salah satu langkah yang tepat dalam konteks ini. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan persiapan siswa SMA di Tasikmalaya dalam menghadapi ujian kompetensi bahasa Jerman tingkat A2 secara daring. Melalui pendekatan blended learning yang mencakup pelatihan sinkronus dan asinkronus, peserta diberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang format soal online, strategi menjawab soal, dan penggunaan platform Moodle. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang format soal online dan format soal secara keseluruhan. Selain itu, siswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap kebermanfaatan pelatihan, kualitas pelatihan, platform pelatihan, materi pelatihan, dan pemateri pelatihan. Mayoritas siswa memberikan penilaian "Sangat Memuaskan" untuk kualitas keseluruhan pelatihan. Program ini memiliki potensi untuk membantu siswa lebih siap dan percaya diri dalam menghadapi Olimpiade Bahasa Jerman tingkat provinsi di masa depan, dan mendukung pengembangan kemampuan bahasa Jerman di tingkat SMA.

This study aims to elaborate on the assessment of instructional planning (lesson plan), particularly how planning emerges from the teacher's internal didactic transposition. It focuses on the diffusion of knowledge by teachers from the curriculum and textbooks into the form of teaching modules or lesson plans. A qualitative approach through phenomenological research method was employed in this study. The data sources include the Arabic language teaching module for Grade 3 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Bandung and Arabic language teacher as participants. The selection of one Arabic teacher as a participant in this study can be justified methodologically with a purposive sampling approach. Data collection techniques consisted of document analysis and in-depth interviews, followed by a praxeological review as an analytical tool. The assessment results identified learning barriers faced by students in the Qiraah (reading) skill material. In this context, internal didactic transposition defined as the transformation of theoretical material into teaching practice plays a crucial role in aligning instructional content with students’ needs and learning objectives. The process of internal transposition in Qiraah instruction positively impacts students’ reading skills, especially when teaching materials are adapted contextually and made relevant to the students’ proficiency levels. These findings pave the way for deeper investigation into the influence of teacher-student verbal exchanges and teaching approaches on students’ comprehension of vocabulary and their reading strategies in Arabic text-based instruction.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran efikasi diri dan motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa Jerman di kalangan mahasiswa tahun pertama Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman FPBS UPI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei dan metode analisis statistik regresi linear berganda serta analisis varians (ANOVA). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup kuesioner untuk mengukur efikasi diri dan motivasi, yang diadaptasi dari skala General Self-Efficacy Scale dan Academic Motivation Scale, serta pengukuran prestasi belajar melalui nilai akhir mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah keterampilan dasar bahasa Jerman. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 76 mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dan motivasi hanya memberikan kontribusi kecil terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa, dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0.007. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor lain mungkin lebih berperan dalam menentukan prestasi belajar. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar penelitian lanjutan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang lebih kompleks dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jerman, seperti strategi belajar atau dukungan sosial. Implikasi praktis dari hasil ini adalah perlunya pengembangan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih komprehensif dalam pendidikan bahasa asing, yang tidak hanya berfokus pada motivasi dan efikasi diri, tetapi juga pada aspek teknis pengajaran yang lebih mendalam.

This article aimed to map the reference level description of the Arabic Language Proficiency Test in Indonesia with an adaptation based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). In this context, the article focused on developing reference level descriptions to assess Arabic language proficiency in Indonesia. A qualitative approach was used through document analysis. Evaluation questions on the Ikhtibarat Maharah Lughah Arabiyah (Imalah) test were cariied out as the data source as well as the CEFR guiding concept issued by Council of Europe. This research was carried out according to the design, namely starting with collecting data in the form of documents related to the CEFR and Arabic language tests, then the data collected was reduced and presented in the form of tables, diagrams or narratives and at the end there were conclusions drawn. The findings of this study reinforced the research objectives by demonstrating that the test includes reference level descriptions that are international standards. This assisted in assessing and understanding the extent to which an individual has mastered the Arabic language. In other words, these findings confirmed that the implementation of international reference level descriptions in the test supports the achievement of the established research objectives, which was to assist in assessing the language proficiency of individuals in Arabic. By adopting the CEFR, this not only helped to measure language proficiency easier, but also facilitated a better understanding of the level of Arabic competency required for educational, employment or general communication purposes.

This community service activity program aims to accommodate student creativity in efforts to develop entrepreneurship in the digital era by utilizing community environmental commodities and technology. The methods for implementing community service activities were processing assistance virgin coconut oil (VCO), packaging and marketing in social media. The target of the activity was the selling value of this VCO innovation is expected to generate economic value that is beneficial not only for students and schools but also for the community. Bakti Karya Vocational School is a multimedia vocational school; with this provision, students can learn to manage marketing through multimedia. The instrument for this activity used observation to see things naturally and observe the process from gathering materials to selling. Besides that, other instruments used were in-depth interviews with entrepreneurship supervisors (teachers), the surrounding community as material suppliers, and students as actors of entrepreneurial activities and then analyzed descriptively. The results of this service activity conclude that this activity generates program ideas about effective sales patterns through social media, introducing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) products through Multicultural class volunteers. Through observation, the media was effective as a marketing medium, but packaging determines the attractiveness of potential buyers. Through this assistance, students gained a new enthusiasm with the confidence that the products they produce had a sale value. This assistance collected materials through the community around the school, which fosters the value of social communication for students and the community, as well as good communication between the school and the community. The results obtained are not just product selling points and marketing, but another value is the growth of students' self-reliance and social values that are intertwined between students, schools, and the community environment.
