Abstract

For many organizations, the Balanced Scorecard has evolved from a measurement tool to what Kaplan and Norton have described as a Strategic Management system. While the original intent of the Balanced Scorecard system was to balance historical financial numbers with the drivers of future value for the firm, as more and more organizations experimented with the concept they found it to be a critical tool in aligning short-term actions with their strategy. In this paper, I’ll explore each of the four perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard and identify the benefits of the scorecard in overwhelming the limitations of financial measurements.

Abstract

In this article, the theory of Abraham H. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs would be the starting point and the foundation for the idea of finding motivation to increase the performance of individuals within the organization. Today, there are various criticisms about the validity of Maslow’s theory. However, as a basic concept for the introduction of individual personality and various structural factors that encourage people to do something, this theory can still resonates loudly. The term "actualization" is meant how Maslows theory in social psychology can be adopted into individual motivation in the management disciplines and how the theory, which was introduced in the 1950s, can be re-actualized

Abstract

According to Max Weber, Confucianism will be an inhibiting force in Asian economic development. Confrontated with China amazing economic growth, it appears that Weber might have not been correct. Chinas recent and impressive economic growth has captured the world attention. As the worlds fastest growing economic country, china is poised to change the landscape of global business. The increased importance of China in the world economy has heightened the necessity of understanding Chinese management practices. This paper attempts to provide an understanding of Chinese culture and management practices by exploring the historical roots of Chinese cultural values.

Abstract

Today there is a huge need for a scientific literature review especially for researchers who are preparing research proposals. Scientific journals are mostly filled with research results that are proof of the theory. There are not many articles that contain a literature review on an actual issue. This essay aims to present a concise literature review of self-efficacy. The discussion focused on exploring the basic theories, definitions, dimensions, sources, roles, and antecedents and consequences of self-efficacy. This paper is expected to contribute especially to researchers who are preparing research proposals on this issue.

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to explore and apply the wealth of the Balanced Scorecard framework in the management of credit unions. The effectiveness of this framework has contributed greatly to the business world. The cross functional paradigm in the Balanced Scorecard concept enables stakeholders to review various business activities in a holistic manner. A qualitative approach is used to explore concepts and their applications in business. This study offers a roadmap for credit unions to implement the Balanced Scorecard framework in the context of performance management.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara simultan maupun parsial budaya organisasi, komitmen organisasi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Hotel Borneo Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah metode asosiatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dan studi dokumenter. Metode pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sampling jenuh dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 59 responden. Data yang didapatkan oleh peneliti lalu diproses menggunakan bantuan program IBM Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) versi 22 pada komputer. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis koefisien korelasi, uji F, uji regresi linear berganda, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji F menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan budaya organisasi, komitmen organisasi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji t, budaya organisasi dan komitmen organisasi mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, serta lingkungan kerja tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to explore the deepest significance of workplace spirituality. The importance of this spirituality makes a more productive contribution to the workplace. Spiritual values motivate workers to dedicate themselves more for a better atmosphere of work. A critical literature review shows us that each organization should be spiritual-friendly. Workplace spirituality can increase individual creativity, organizational citizenship, sense of self-fulfillment of employees, honesty, trust, and organizational commitment. In short, the organizations that encourage workplace spirituality will experience enhanced organizational performance.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan pembangunan yang ingin dicapai Indonesia adalah peningkatan sumber daya manusia. Dalam peningkatan sumber daya manusia Indonesia peran dosen sangatlah penting. Sama seperti wajib pajak lainnya, dosen juga merupakan wajib pajak yang dikenai kewajiban untuk memenuhi kewajiban perpajakan sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku. Penghasilan dosen terbagi menjadi tiga yakni gaji tetap (sebagai pegawai tetap), tunjangan sertifikasi dosen (jika sudah tersertifikasi) dan honorarium (sebagai dosen honor di kampus lain atau sebagai pemateri dalam suatu kegiatan).Hasil kajian menunjukkan penghasilan seorang dosen dapat dikenakan PPh yang tidak final dan PPh yang sifatnya final. PPh tidak final berasal dari gaji tetap dan honor sedangkan PPh yang final berasal dari tunjangan sertifikasi dosen. Khusus tunjangan sertifikasi dosen ada hal yang perlu diperhatikan terutama tunjangan serdos bagi dosen golongan III dan golongan IV dimana dosen golongan III menerima take home pay yang lebih besar dari dosen golongan IV dikarenakan kenaikan tunjangan serdos tidak sebanding dengan kenaikan tarif PPh nya. Penulis berharap seorang dosen mampu memahami dan memenuhi kewajiban perpajakannya sebagai wajib pajak yang baik dan memberikan teladan terutama bagi peserta didik. Selanjutnya penulis juga ingin menyarankan pemerintah perlu menyesuaikan tunjanan serdos golongan IV sehingga take home pay nya setidaknya sama dengan golongan III, hal ini dikarenakan jangan menjadikan demotivasi bagi dosen untuk naik jabatan fungsional apalagi Indonesia juga masih kekurangan guru besar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh Ethical Leadership, Perceived Organizational Support, dan Job Autonomy terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) pada guru Generasi Z, dengan Work Engagement sebagai variabel mediasi. Generasi Z, yang lahir antara tahun 1997 hingga 2012, mencakup 27,94% dari total populasi Indonesia. Penelitian ini melibatkan 82 responden, yaitu guru Generasi Z di sekolah Katolik dan Kristen swasta di Pontianak, mencakup berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan software WarpPLS 7.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ethical Leadership, Perceived Organizational Support, dan Job Autonomy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB melalui Work Engagement. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya meningkatkan faktor-faktor tersebut untuk mendorong Work Engagement yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan OCB pada guru Generasi Z. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan praktis bagi para pengelola sekolah serta kontribusi teoretis untuk memahami dinamika OCB dalam konteks ini.
