Abstract

With the backdrop of students' poor cooperation abilities during discussion activities, This study aims to determine how students' collaborative abilities in IPAS learning are affected by the ethnoscientific Problem Based Learning (PBL) paradigm. This study employs a quantitative research technique with a quasi-experimental approach and a nonequivalent control group design. A collaboration ability questionnaire that doubles as a pretest and a posttest is the research instrument used in this study. Among the techniques used for data analysis are ANOVA, MANOVA, homogeneity, and the normalcy test. The results of the study indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) methodology can enhance students' capacity for teamwork, as evidenced by an increase in scores from 73.32 to 75.66. However, when learning is conducted using the cooperative model Think-Pair-Share, the initial score of 64.77 significantly increased to 71.28. Therefore, when compared to learning using the Think-Pair-Share cooperative model, Students' ability to collaborate Utilizing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) paradigm can enhance.

Abstract

Well-designed learning media can be used as a powerful tool to stimulate students' interest in learning and improve their understanding of the subject matter. The purpose of this study is to determine the development, feasibility, student responses and effectiveness of the assembly application learning media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) through the utilization of the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data examination and validity technique uses expert feasibility testing, product trials (student responses), and media effectiveness testing using normalized gain testing which is carried out by working on pretests and posttests. The expert feasibility test obtained a final result of 90.77% with a very feasible category. The product trial by looking at student responses obtained a final result of 88% with a very good category. The media effectiveness test was measured by n-gain carried out through pretests and posttests, obtaining a final result of 78% which was stated in the effective category. Therefore, the study shows that the use of the assembler application significantly improves the quality of learning of earth structure material for fifth grade students. This media has proven effective in helping students achieve a deeper understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Character education is essential for developing students’ personalities, particularly religious character, which serves as a core value in strengthening student character education guidelines. In this regard, schools play a vital role in shaping students’ religious character. One way to achieve educational goals with strong character is through the optimal implementation of school culture. This study aims to describe the process of school culture in shaping students’ religious character, to identify the religious character of students, and to analyze the role of school culture in developing religious character among students at Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School Elementary School. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The participants consisted of five informants, including the principal, the first- and fifth-grade homeroom teachers, and two tahfidz (Qur’an memorization) teachers for grades 1 and 5. Data were collected through overt and covert observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman (1984) model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings indicate that the habituation of school culture—such as the culture of reading the Qur’an, congregational prayer, and greeting—plays a significant role in shaping students’ religious character at Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School Elementary School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the critical thinking ability of the students that using SSCS model. The method used in this research is Kuasi Experiment with the research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Kesaud in academic year 2018/2019. The technique were taken used purposive sampling. In this research, VA class was used as the experiment class and the VB class was used as the control class. The purpose of data analysis techniques to testing the hypotheses using two test and using the right side test. Based on the calculation hypothesis of two parties obtained a score of -2,010 ? 4,599 ? 2,010 if–ttabel ? thitung ? ttabel then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The result of this research can be concluded that the critical thinking ability of students applied the SSCS (Search, Solve, Create and Share) model is better than that of students who applied the Direct Intruction model.

Abstract

Primary education is a critical stage in students' development, where speaking and writing skills play an important role in their communication development and self-expression. Poetry, as a form of literary art, offers potential that has not been fully explored as a learning tool in elementary schools. This research aims to investigate whether the use of poetry in learning can improve elementary school students' speaking and writing skills. The research method used was an experimental study with a pre-test and post-test group control design. The research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group who received learning using poetry as a tool, and the control group who received conventional learning. Research participants were fourth grade elementary school students in two randomly selected schools. The research results showed that the experimental group who received learning using poetry experienced significant improvements in speaking and writing skills compared to the control group. Students involved in poetry learning show an increased ability to express their thoughts verbally and in writing more creatively and expressively. This research has important implications for basic education. Using poetry in learning can help students develop their speaking and writing skills, as well as increase their interest in literature. It also shows the potential for integrating literary arts in the elementary school curriculum as an effective tool for improving student communication. In conclusion, the use of poetry in elementary school learning can effectively improve students' speaking and writing skills. The results of this research provide a strong basis for considering the use of poetry as a creative and innovative learning tool in efforts to improve basic education.Keywords:Poetry, Learning Tools, Skills, Elementary School, Experimental.Abstrak Pendidikan dasar adalah tahap kritis dalam perkembangan siswa, di mana keterampilan berbicara dan menulis memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan komunikasi dan ekspresi diri mereka. Puisi, sebagai salah satu bentuk seni sastra, menawarkan potensi yang belum sepenuhnya dieksplorasi sebagai alat pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi apakah pemanfaatan puisi dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan menulis siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian eksperimental dengan desain kontrol kelompok pre-test dan post-test. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menerima pembelajaran menggunakan puisi sebagai alat, dan kelompok kontrol yang menerima pembelajaran konvensional. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas empat sekolah dasar di dua sekolah yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen yang menerima pembelajaran dengan pemanfaatan puisi mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan berbicara dan menulis dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran puisi menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan untuk mengungkapkan pemikiran mereka secara lisan dan tertulis dengan lebih kreatif dan ekspresif. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting untuk pendidikan dasar. Penggunaan puisi dalam pembelajaran dapat membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara dan menulis mereka, serta meningkatkan minat mereka dalam sastra. Hal ini juga menunjukkan potensi untuk mengintegrasikan seni sastra dalam kurikulum sekolah dasar sebagai alat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan komunikasi siswa. Dalam kesimpulan, pemanfaatan puisi dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dapat efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan menulis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan landasan yang kuat untuk mempertimbangkan penggunaan puisi sebagai alat pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif dalam upaya meningkatkan pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Seiring berkembangnya teknologi informasi yang begitu cepat dan massif terdapat peningkatan penggunaan gawai dan internet oleh manusia terutama pelajar yang menggunakan kecanggihan teknologi untuk membanty pembelajaran dan mendukung kegiatan akademik maupun non akademik. Penelitian ini di lakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan penggunaan aplikasi TikTok terhadap perkembangan siswa yang di lakukan pada siswa SDN Pabuaran 02. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 36 siswa SDN Pabuaran 02. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan aplikasi TikTok dengan perkembangan siswa SDN Pabuaran 02

Abstract

Elementary education in the Independent Curriculum era positions teachers as facilitators and learning leaders who encourage students to actively participate in the learning process (student agency). This study aims to describe the learning strategies implemented by the leading teacher at Tanjungsari Elementary School to foster student leadership. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach using interviews, observations, and documentation with the leading teacher, the principal, and fifth-grade students. The results indicate that the leading teacher implements student-centered learning by emphasizing three main aspects: voice, choice, and ownership. Students are given the opportunity to express their opinions, choose their learning methods, and take responsibility for their learning outcomes. These strategies have resulted in increased student independence, self-confidence, and active engagement in the classroom. This study concludes that the leading teacher plays a crucial role in fostering student leadership through participatory and reflective learning.
