Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik kebutuhan bahan ajar BIPA bermuatan budaya Jawa bagi penutur asing tingkat pemula menurut persepsi penutur asing dan pengajar BIPA, (2) mengembangkan bahan ajar BIPA bermuatan budaya Jawa bagi penutur asing tingkat pemula, (3) mendeskripsikan penilaian bahan ajar BIPA bermuatan budaya Jawa bagi penutur asing tingkat pemula. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) yang dilakukan dengan lima tahap. Setelah penelitian dilaksanakan, diperoleh hasil analisis kebutuhan menurut persepsi penutur asing dan pengajar BIPA dengan karakteristik bahan ajar BIPA yaitu menggunakan ragam bahasa yang mudah dipahami dan sesuai dengan keterbacaan penutur asing tingkat pemula, mampu memotivasi, memiliki teknik latihan empat aspek berbahasa, serta latihan tata bahasa pada setiap babnya. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian, bahan ajar BIPA bermuatan budaya Jawa bagi penutur asing tingkat pemula dinilai sudah layak digunakan, meskipun masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan pada beberapa bagian. Sebagai sebuah produk pengembangan, produk bahan ajar BIPA yang dikembangkan berpotensi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penutur asing tingkat pemula dan pengajar BIPA terhadap bahan ajar BIPA yang bermuatan budaya Jawa.The purpose of this research are (1) to describe the characteristics neededin BIPA materials based on Javanese culture for foreign speakers beginner level, (2) to develop BIPA materials based on Javanese culture for foreign speakers beginner level, (3) to describe the assessment of BIPA materials based on Javanese culture for foreign speakers beginner level. This study uses Research and Development (R & D) approach performed with five stages. After the research was carried out, the results of analysis needed by foreign speakers and BIPAteachers with the characteristics of BIPA materials, that is a book with language that is easily understood and in accordance with the legibility with foreign speakers beginner level, able to motivate, has exercises in  four aspects of language and exercises of grammar in each chapter. Based on the result of assessment, BIPA materials based on Javanese culture is considered to be fit for use, although it still needs to revize in some parts. As a product development, developed BIPA materials product has the potential to meet the needs of foreign speakers beginner level and teachers toward the BIPA materials based on Javanese culture.

Teachers are encouraged to have the ability to develop learning strategies and models that are in accordance with the curriculum and student learning styles. Teachers who deliver material with a lecture model will dominate the learning process, so students will tend to behave passively by only listening to the explanation of the material presented. Combining the collaborative learning model with the mind mapping method is expected to improve students' activeness and social relationships. The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of collaborative learning with the mind mapping method affects ecosystem material in science subjects. This research was conducted on March 23, 2024, with the 35 7th grade students of SMPN 1 Plosoklaten. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The learning model applied can improve personal relationships between students and increase creativity. Therefore, the collaborative learning model with the mind mapping method can be applied in the learning process of science subjects on ecosystem material in grade 7 SMPN 1 Plosoklaten.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the right leadership strategy to identify and describe the implementation of character education with various backgrounds of students after the covid-19 pandemic. By applying multicultural learning, it is hoped that it will be able to teach theoretical concepts about various good or bad characters, but rather try to influence the character of good students. in the direction the teacher expects. This study uses an ex post facto qualitative design with data collection through observation and case studies. Sources of data obtained from informants, namely principals, teachers, students, and parents. The result of the research is that the implementation of character education for students with various backgrounds is carried out by getting used to good characters who are accustomed to religious activities and the teacher gives examples of good character (respect for teachers, fellow students and younger siblings) in everyday life. In addition, it also gets used to saying greetings and smiling when meeting anyone, such as teachers, friends, and other people outside of school. There is an additional excellent program, namely the compulsory Koran program for every student. Even with the Covid-19 condition, the portion of character education has not decreased as face-to-face schools, but has increased. The teacher monitors the character development of students starting from waking up in the morning until going back to sleep the next night. The role of the principal is very supportive of the character education that has been implemented in schools. Not only that, with the covid-19 pandemic, school principals made a policy by providing quota pulses to be used to communicate with students so that the habit of good character continues to run even at home.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical problem-solving ability and characters of students who were taught using problem-based learning and ordinary learning based on Islamic perspectives. The instrument used in this study was a test of problem-solving ability and a students’ character questionnaire. This research was a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample of this research was 84 students from Private Islamic School in Medan, North Sumatera, by using a purposive sampling technique. The data in this research was declared homogenous and normal after being tested using the Levene’s Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test. The hypothesis analyzes used was the Two Way-ANOVA test assisted by SPSS 25. The result showed that there was an improvement in mathematical problem-solving ability and students' characters through problem-based learning based on Islamic perspectives. However, there was no interaction between students' gender and problem-solving ability and character improvement based on Islamic perspectives. The gender factor in problem-based learning was not related to students’ cognitive and affective aspects. Each student with any gender had difference characters, especially related to Islamic perspectives. This research-proven that problem-based learning model had an important role in teaching and learning, and it can be used to improve students' mathematical and character problem-solving ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the storytelling method in improving language skills and at the same time instilling character values in children. Character issues in the younger generation are still often encountered both in society and through the news on social media. One solution is to include character values from an early age in kindergarten learning by applying the storytelling method. By taking inspirational stories from characters that contain good character values, children can learn both language skills and character values. The research method used was the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. Analysis and presentation of data used a qualitative descriptive method. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study showed that the use of storytelling methods in early childhood to improve language and instill character values had a significant effect. The ratio of the pre-test and post-test results showed a significant improvement, it was from 61% to 96%. Character changes in a positive direction appeared such as being honest, responsible, independent, polite, and following parental orders. Furthermore, children were also motivated to learn in improving their language skills such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing which then affected the child's formal language. Thus, the use of the storytelling method in the learning process not only improved language skills but also affected the child's character because presenting true stories from human life provides a good and ideal example for children to instill good character in themselves.

Abstract

Students' comprehension of the theory is often implemented as an effort to improve their achievements. However, other learning processes are rarely carried out by teachers, such as the practice or tools uses as the lesson application. The purpose of this study is to analyze the learning effectiveness by applying the geophysical surveys practice method or the use of environmental geophysics tools. The assessment of students' abilities is based on the interpretation results of environmental geophysical survey data and the presentations and discussions about the results of interpretation. The TGT Cooperative learning model was used with a quasi-experimental method and quantitative design. Data collection was carried out using a series of research instruments in the form of questionnaires. The results of the study were based on comparisons between the experimental class and the control class. The results show that the experimental class has excellent findings. 1) Based on the results of the post-test, the TGT cooperative learning method is very effective in this study, because teamwork can maintain students' enthusiasm and understanding during the learning process. 2) Retrieval of field data makes students better understand the application of geoelectric concepts and determination of rock resistivity.

Abstract

Students need an understanding of mathematical concepts provided by educators who have good skills. Educators must also maximize their teaching time so that it requires learning models such as e-learning and blended learning to meet the loss of teaching time due to other activities that must be done by the teacher besides teaching. This study aims to see the impact of blended learning and e-learning on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in the material of two-variable linear equations. The method used in this study is the quasi-experiment with the posttest only control design research. Technical analysis uses one way ANOVA. Based on the results of the study, Blended Learning and E-Learning influence understanding mathematical concepts in the two-variable linear equation material, so that it can be used as a knowledge given to students in understanding mathematical concepts.
