Abstract

The Dipterocarpaceae plant, raru (Cotylelobium melanoxylon) is widespread in Southeast Asia. The bark of raru has been used by local communities in North Sumatera as antidiarrheal drugs due to its antibacterial compounds. The antibacterial activity of the rarus bark is induced by endophytic fungi that live in the region of the bark. This study aimed to identify the endophytic fungi-producer of antibacterial compounds in the bark of raru (C. melanoxylon) by means of molecular analysis. In general, endophytic fungi have the ability to inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Thirty-eight isolates of endophytic fungi were isolated from the bark of raru. Selection of isolates for antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli ATCC 35218 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 used the dual culture assay. Selection using the dual culture assay yielded 6 endophytic fungal isolates that have the ability to inhibit the growth of test bacteria. EF10A sample was the most powerful isolate inhibiting the growth of both bacteria test. Those six bacteria molecularly identified used a sequence generated from ITS rDNA region. Based on rDNA ITS region sequences, isolate, the producers of the antibacterial compound were identified as Talaromyces cellulolyticus, Penicillium purpurogenum, Aspergillus sp., Trichoderma harzianum, and Aspergillus orizae. The results of this study can be used by researchers to explore more potential endophytic fungi in raru plants (C. melanoxylon) as a source of medicine. The data obtained need to be supported by further research to isolate the bioactive compounds that can inhibit the growth of microbial pathogens.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPT. BEV (Batamindo Executive Village) adalah perusahaan yang mengelola apartemen dan lapangan golf yang berada di kawasan seluas 213 Ha di daerah Sei Ladi, Kecamatan Sekupang, Batam. PT. BEV harus memperhatikan rugi-rugi daya yang dapat terjadi pada jaringan instalasi listrik. Sebagian daya listrik akan terbuang sis-sia pada saluran kabel, hal ini merugikan bagi PT. BEV karena daya tidak dapat digunakan secara maksimal , Dari hal tersebut diatas maka dilalukan penelitian menggunakan studi literatur dengan beberapa landasan teori untuk menghitung berapa besar rugi-rugi daya pada jaringan instalasi listrik PT. BEV.  Hasil penelitian didapatkan rugi-rugi daya listrik PT. BEV pada MDP (Main Distribution Panel) 1 adalah 307.58 watt dan persentase rugi-rugi daya listrik adalah 0.354 %. Rugi-rugi daya listrik pada MDP 2 adalah 269.637 watt dan persentase rugi-rugi daya listrik adalah 0.347 %. Rugi-rugi daya listrik pada MDP 3 adalah 77.167 watt dan persentase rugi-rugi daya listrik adalah 0.446 %. Kata Kunci: Jaringan Instalasi Listrik, Studi Literatur, Rugi-rugi daya  ABSTRACTPT. BEV (Batamindo Executive Village) is a company that manages apartments and golf courses in an area of 213 hectares in the Sei Ladi area, Sekupang District, Batam.  PT. BEV must pay attention to power losses that can occur in the electrical installation network , namely power losses in the power line. The power losses in this power line make PT. BEV cannot be used optimally. Some electricity will be wasted in the cable . This is detrimental to PT. BEV because the power cannot be used optimally . Therefore, the authors conducted a literature study with some theoretical basis to find out how much power losses in the electrical installation network of PT. BEV. Then the electrical power losses of PT. BEV on MDP (Main Distribution Panel) 1 is 307.58 watts and the percentage of power losses is 0.354%. The electrical power losses on MDP 2 are 269,637 watts and the percentage of electrical power losses is 0.347%. The electrical power losses on MDP 3 are 77,167 watts and the percentage of electrical power losses is 0.446%.Keywords: Electrical Installation Network, Study Literature, power loss

Abstract

Zingiber loerzingii Valeton is one of the species in the Zingiberaceae family found throughout Aceh and North Sumatra, Indonesia, with slimy flowers, yellowish white color, and dark orange stamens. Z. loerzingii is endemic in North Sumatra with a very limited distribution. The International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources classifies this plant into the vulnerable ones category. This study aims to examine the potential of DNA barcoding from nuclear DNA (ITS2) and DNA chloroplasts (rbcL and trnL-F) to identify Z. loerzingii plants. The research sample was obtained from two main distribution areas of Z. loerzingii in North Sumatra, Indonesia, namely Sibolangit Nature Reserve and Tangkahan Conservation Forest. The results showed that all the DNA barcode markers used were able to classify Z. loerzingii into the same group in the phylogenetic analysis. ITS marker is the most effective marker for classifying Zingiberaceae species compared to rbcL and trnL-F markers. The ITS2 marker has the lowest level of intraspecific and intraspecific genetic distance overlap compared to the rbcL and trnL-F markers. This research is expected to provide information related to the DNA barcode of Z. loerzingii in an effort to conserve this rare plant.

Abstract

Betel leaf (Piper betle L.) is a plant that has antibacterial properties, and is one of the plants that can be used as a source of endophytic bacteria. Endophytic bacteria can produce the same secondary metabolites as the host plant. In identifying bacteria, the 16S rRNA gene is used This study aims to identify endophytic bacterial species that were successfully isolated from betel leaves using the 16S rRNA method.The betel leaves taken are old leaves. The methods used are laboratory research methods and literature studies. Laboratory methods include isolation and molecular identification of endophytic bacteria. The literature study method is to look for previous research results in the form of journals, books, articles and compare them with the laboratory isolation results obtained. The results of molecular identification of endophytic bacteria have 99.81% similarity to Lysinibacillus fusiformis strain N169 (IE 1), 100% similarity to Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain PaLo22 (IE 2), and 100% similarity to Bacillus cereus strain Z2-R9 (IE 3). It can be concluded that there are 3 endophytic isolates that have been successfully isolated with various macroscopic and microscopic diversity.

Abstract

Plants from the Combretaceae family are known as medicinal plants, some of which are the genera Combretum and Terminalia. Ketapang (Terminalia catappa) is one of the plants from the genus Combretaceae that can produce beneficial metabolite compounds. In addition to being useful in increasing plant growth, endophytic bacteria have the ability to produce the same metabolites as their host plants. This study aims to identify endophytic bacterial species found in plants of the Combretaceae family and to examine their potential. The methods used in this study are identification of the characteristics of endophytic bacterial cells using a light microscope, molecular identification through the BLAST program, and literature studies. The results of this study are 9 species of endophytic bacteria associated with plants from the Combretaceae family. They are Lysinibacillus fusiformis, Citrobacter freundii, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas fulva, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus hominis, Paenibacillus motobuensis, Cronobacter sakazakii, Cytobacillus firmus, and Methylobacterium radiotolerants.

Abstract

Penggunaan media gambar berseri dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia menjadi fokus penelitian yang semakin berkembang dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media gambar berseri dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas II di SDN Sambirejo 02 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar berseri dalam pembelajaran memberikan dampak yang baik dalam meningkatkan minat, motivasi, interaksi dan pemahaman peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi pendidik untuk mempertimbangkan penggunaan media gambar berseri dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dan mendukung dalam pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research employed the experimental method with descriptive data analysis. It aimed to isolate and identify sponge symbiont bacteria with antibacterial potential against Multi-Drug Resistance Organisms (MDRO) with the 16S rRNA gene marker. Based on the study results, two sponges were obtained, namely Clathrina sp and Agelas sp, each having 11 and 7 isolates of symbiont bacteria, respectively. Based on the antibacterial activity test results, out of 18 isolates of symbiont bacteria, only 4 had antibacterial potential against MDRO (Klebsiella pneumoniae ESBL, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ESBL, or Staphylococcus lugdunensis MRSA) with inhibition zones of 9.3 mm, 8.3 mm, and 8.1 mm, respectively. The results of bacterial identification using the 16S rRNA gene sequence isolate S1I3, S1I9, and A1I3 belong to the Bacillus cereus and Bacillus paramycoides types. This research is expected to provide important information about sponge symbiont bacteria with antibacterial potential against MDRO.

Abstract

 Mengawali tahun 2023, Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH)kembali membuka program Sertifikasi Halal Gratis (Sehati). "Berbeda dengan tahunsebelumnya, Sehati 2023 akan dibuka sepanjang tahun. Mulai besok, 2 Januari 2023pelaku usaha sudah bisa mendaftar," ujar Kepala BPJPH M. Aqil Irham, Minggu(1/1/2023). Berdasarkan pernyataan diatas perlunya diadakan penyuluhan. Tujuan dariPenyuluhan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan pendampingantentang pentingnya sertifikasi halal bagi pelaku Usaha mikro dan kecil (UMK) khususnyadi Desa Panggung, Kecamatan Barat. Penyuluhan sertifikasi halal ini bertujuan untukmemberikan kesadaran akan pentingnya kehalalan produk, meningkatkan kepuasanpembeli produk, mendorong kemajuan prospek usaha khususnya pada branding produk. Dengan adanya penyuluhan tersebut dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saingbagi pelaku UMK di Desa Panggung, Kecamatan Barat. Selain itu, juga mampu memperluasefek positif bagi lingkungan sekitar penggiat UMK. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukanmelalui tahapan sosialisasi sampai pendampingan untuk mendapatkan sertifikat halalpada kurang lebih 50 pelaku UMK yang bergerak di bidang makanan dan minuman.Dengan adanya pendampingan proses sertifikasi halal ini, permasalahan tentang caramengajukan sertifikat halal yang dianggap rumit dapat diselesaikan dengan mudah.

Abstract

Di era milenial saat ini, dinamika kehidupan masyarakat mengalami perubahan yang cepat dan kompleks, terutama dengan kemajuan teknologi dan pengaruh budaya global. Perubahan ini berdampak signifikan pada struktur dan fungsi keluarga, yang merupakan unit sosial terkecil dan paling mendasar. Keluarga sakinah, yang diartikan sebagai keluarga yang harmonis, penuh kasih sayang, dan mampu menghadapi berbagai tantangan, menjadi semakin penting untuk dibahas dalam konteks ini. Keluarga sakinah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat berlindung bagi anggota-anggotanya, tetapi juga sebagai lembaga pendidikan pertama yang membentuk karakter dan nilai-nilai individu. Namun, tantangan-tantangan baru, seperti pergeseran nilai-nilai sosial, tekanan ekonomi, serta pengaruh media sosial, dapat mengganggu keharmonisan dalam keluarga. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pemahaman dan strategi yang tepat untuk menjaga keseimbangan dan keharmonisan keluarga di tengah perubahan ini.

Abstract

This study aims to spatially analyze the marine ecotourism potential of Kalimantung Island based on the Tourist Suitability Index (TSI). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, where the analysis is done with a spatial approach. Data collection techniques used were measurement, observation, and interviews. The data analysis carried out in this study uses scoring techniques. Land suitability analysis is categorized into 4 (four) designations, namely (1) Beach Tourism for Recreation Category, (2) Marine Tourism for diving, (3) Marine Tourism for snorkeling, and (4) Marine Tourism for swimming and canoeing category. The results of this study indicate that the condition of coral reefs on Kalimantung Na Godang Island and Kalimantung Na Menek Island is included in the good category, with coral cover of 55.55% and 52.13 respectively. The Tourism Suitability Index (TCI) for the Recreation Category on Kalimantung Na Godang Island is categorized as suitable with a TSI of 69%. The Recreation TSI of Kalimantung Na Menek Island is categorized as Very Suitable with a Recreation TSI of 95%. The Tourism Suitability Index (TSI) for the Diving Category on Kalimantung Na Godang Island and Kalimantung Na Menek Island is included in the Very Suitable category with a TSI of 83%. The Tourism Suitability Index (TSI) of the Snorkeling Category on Kalimantung Na Godang Island is included in the suitable category with a TSI of 68%. The Recreation TSI of Kalimantung Na Menek Island is included in the Very Suitable category with a Recreation TSI of 75%.
