Abstract

This study aims to find out and obtain information about the application of the consept of geography learning models that will form students' disaster alert characters in STKIP Pesisir Selatan by conducting meta-plan analysis and bayes analysis. This Study is descriptive qualitative using observation, interviews, and documentation in data collection. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been done before, it can be concluded that the Student Empowerment Strategy of South Coast STKIP In Forming Disaster Alert Character. The results of the analysis using the Bayes method there are four policy priorities that can be applied for development are 1) Students form a disaster alert group or forum with a value of 4,545 2) related socialization to disaster disaster by lecturer staff with a value of 4,524 3) emergency response training for disaster preparedness with value of 4,333 4) making direction directions to tsunami shelters and evacuation routes in several locations with a value of 4,222

Abstract

This research aims to obtain information and data descriptions about the impact of sand mining on the socio-economic conditions of the community in Batu Sondat Village, Batahan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. The type of research used is qualitative with descriptive methods. The informants in this study amounted to 21 people, namely the Deputy Head of Batu Sondat Village, Sand Mine Owners, Sand Mine Workers, Sand Buyers, and the Community. The types of data required are Primary and Secondary data types taken with the Snowball Sampling technique. Data collected by Observation, Interview, and Documentation techniques. The data analysis used is the Data Reduction Stage, the Data Presentation Stage, and the Conclusion Drawing Stage. The results of the study found that: The Impact of Sand Mining on the Socio-Economic Conditions of the Community is: Where the sand mine was established in Batu Sondat Village, it has received permission from the Village Head and all Customary Members in the Village and is well accepted by the community and there are also people who are less accepting of the establishment of this sand mine on the grounds of making river water polluted. However, after the establishment of this sand mine, the community's economy increased. Unemployment in Batu Sondat Village has decreased, many people get jobs from this sand mine so that people can meet their daily needs.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how (1) the management of Lake Tarusan and (2) how the management of facilities and infrastructure of natural attractions of Lake Tarusan. This type of research uses qualitative description, while for informants this research uses Purposive Sampling, the informants are Wali Nagari or Wali Nagari Staff, the Community, and also visitors in this Tarusan lake. The explanation for data collection techniques in this study is through (1) observation (2) interviews (3) documentation. As for techniques using (1) data analysis (2) data reduction (3) display data (4) drawing conclusions. The results of the research conducted to find out how the management of Lake Tarusan natural tourism objects can be seen from several aspects, including, (1) the management of Lake Tarusan tourism objects which are the managers, including the people of the area, while for the Regional Government has not fully participated in the management, while for the financial sember obtained for the management of Lake Tarusan objects is obtained from community fees and also donations from prospective Calek in the region (2) the management of facilities and infrastructure in the previous Tarusan Lake natural attractions has not been well organized, it is due to the lack of incoming costs and attention from the Regional Government, the management of Lake Tarusan attractions has not been satisfactory both in terms of facilities such as prayer rooms, toilets and seating for visitors. Meanwhile, in terms of infrastructure that is still lacking, namely road access that needs to be expanded, then transportation to get to Lake Tarusan can be .

Abstract

Meteorology and climatology subject requires appropriate teaching materials that are integrated with problem based learning. This type of research is R&D with the focus of research being the validation and practicality of student worksheets. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. Validation was carried out by three geography education lecturers as experts by filling out questionnaires to assess student worksheets and through discussions to obtain suggestions for improvement. The validation of student worksheets carried out includes four assessment indicators namely content, construct, language, and graph validation. The practicality of student worksheets is filled in by lecturers and students as users by filling in five practicality indicators. The results showed (1) student worksheets integrated with the problem-based learning model were in the valid category for use, (2) student worksheets were in the practical category which meant the worksheets that were developed were easy to understand, easy to implement, efficient in cost and time, and easy to find the tools and materials needed for learning.
