Abstract

Garlic is used by some people to treat itching on the skin which is often known as tinea versicolor. These materials are used by rubbing the itchy skin area. Garlic produces waste in the form of skin, garlic bulb skin contains flavonoids, phenols, alkaloids, tannins and saponins, which have antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the garlic skin extract fraction (Allium Sativum L.) using the FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power) method and to determine the IC50 value of the garlic skin extract fraction using the FRAP method. The type of research used was experimentation with garlic skin samples extracted using the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent, then fractions were carried out with polar (ethanol:water) and non-polar (n-hexane) solvents. Antioxidant activity testing using uv-vis spectrophotometry. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it showed that the garlic extract and skin fraction samples had antioxidant activity. The results obtained were the ethanol:water fraction was 1.52 ppm and the n-hexane fraction was 2.75. conclution is the polar fraction (ethanol:water) and the non-polar fraction (n-hexane) have strong antioxidant activity.

Abstract

This research aims to see firsthand how the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum is carried out by Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMPN 7 Bandung, as one of the driving schools as well as the first school at the junior high school level to implement Merdeka Curriculum. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method at SMPN 7 Bandung, which was explored through interviews with three Islamic Religious Education teachers there, the results of this study were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, so this study resulted So this study resulted in the conclusion that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum by Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMPN 7 Bandung is in accordance with the targets and objectives to be achieved, both by the Islamic Religious Education teachers themselves, by the school, and by the government that formulated the Merdeka Curriculum. Abstract

Film is a medium that represents various socio-cultural realities, enabling the visualization and depiction of social issues, one of which is the culture of patriarchy. Patriarchy is a term used to describe a social system where power, control, and authority are primarily in the hands of men or male figures. Patriarchy is a central theme in the film Kartini. Therefore, the aim of this study is to reveal and understand the hidden meanings that depict the visualization of patriarchal culture in the film Kartini. This study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing John Fiske's semiotic analysis approach. The findings of this research indicate that patriarchal culture is visualized through John Fiske's three codes of encoding, including 1) reality, 2) representation, and 3) ideology, demonstrating that patriarchal culture remains influential in affecting women's lives.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of modified corn flour through the pragelatinization process followed by Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) fermentation on lowering blood sugar levels. This study uses a quantitative description method in the form of experiments by comparing the average value of the mice group given the treatment. he first stage involves mice being grouped into 3 groups, each group contains 7 mice, adapted for 14 days, and measuring blood sugar levels before treatment. The second stage is feeding and treatment for 21 days, standard feed without alloxan injection as a negative control, standard feed with alloxan injection as a positive control, and feed containing modified corn flour through the process of pragelatinization and lactic acid fermentation with alloxan injection as a treatment group. The last stage is the measurement of blood sugar levels on the 21st day. The data analysis techniques used in this study were a normality test and a homogeneity test using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25, followed by a quantitative description in the form of experiments by comparing the mean values of the mice groups given treatment. T he results showed that feed containing modified corn flour through pragelatinization and fermentation of lactic acid bacteria had an effect on reducing blood sugar levels in mice. The group of mice that were given feed containing modified corn flour had lower blood sugar levels compared to the group of mice given standard feed (positive control), obtained at 127 mg/dl with a resulting mice body weight of 23.06 g, and feed consumption of 13.66 g.
