Abstract

Background: World Health Organization (WHO) has established a Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course (DOTS) strategy. Carrying out the DOTS strategy, the public health center is running the TB Prevention and Treatment program, in Indonesia it is called prevention and countermeasures of tuberculosis (P2TB) but in reality, the P2TB program has not been effectively implemented. Health workers who play an important role in carrying out their roles and duties in society are nurses. One of the efforts to improve the performance of nurses in TB treatment is the application of transformational leadership. The purpose of this literature review is to examine the results of the past 10 years of research related to the influence of transformational leadership on nurse performance in tuberculosis treatment. Design: This study design is a literature review to search and review article from database and theory underlying this study or guidance in this literature review using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and PRISMA. Data Sources: The data base used in the article searches used include: Science Direct, PubMed, Google scholar, EBSCO using the keywords transformational leadership, nurse performance, tuberculosis treatment. The articles used are those between the years 2009-2019. Review Methods: The review method for this literature review using a narrative method by classifying the similar extracted data according to the research findings. Results: The main component of transformational leadership to improve The performance of nurses to play a more optimal role in an effective and efficient TB treatment effort is an idealized influence, which is that nurses have charismatic, in the fact that nurses in providing nursing care in the community must provide good paragons and become role models in the field of good health to individuals, families, groups and communities about how to live clean and healthy as behavior that can be imitated by the community, inspirational motivation for nurses as health teacher educators or health counselling which is a part of health promotion, the nurse's intellectual stimulation empowers communities to solve health problems in the community through small group discussions, and individual consideration, in this case the nurse's duty is as an advice provider and counseling is highly important and beneficial for the community. In order to achieve the fulfillment of the roles and responsibilities of nurses, there must be inner motivation among nurses in order that they can provide decent motivation to the community. Conclusion: Transformational leadership can be applied to improve the performance of nurses in TB treatment efforts.

Abstract

Nursing ethics plays a crucial role in shaping the nursing profession, and a thorough understanding of ethical values serves as the foundation for delivering quality healthcare services. Objective: To describe the level of nursing ethics knowledge among nursing students who do not yet have clinical practice experience in hospitals. Method: This research employed a quantitative descriptive research design. Data analysis utilized a descriptive statistical approach, presenting frequency data and percentage levels of knowledge. The population in the study consists of all first-semester nursing students who have yet to undergo clinical practice. The sampling technique employed is purposive sampling. The research sample comprised 82 students lacking clinical practice experience. The questionnaire assessing nursing ethics knowledge underwent validity testing, obtaining a value of 1 > 0.355 and reliability testing with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.961 > 0.60. The questionnaire consisted of 29 items. Results: The findings of this study indicate percentage categories for the level of nursing ethics knowledge among students as follows: (21%) abysmal, (28%) poor, (20%) fair, (18%) good, and (16%) very good. Conclusions: Innovative learning strategies, practical experiences, and in-depth curriculum studies in the field of professional ethics in nursing are important to help address the limitations of nursing ethics knowledge.

Abstract

Background: The implementation of discharge planning must be documented completely. Preliminary study found that 90% of discharge planning implementation is not documented. The weakness of the intervention that has been done by previous researchers is that it does not focus on increasing the completeness of documentation, especially on the documentation of discharge planning, the application of discharge planning based on knowledge management SECI model as an intervention applied to improve the completeness of documentation on discharge planning. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discharge planning based on knowledge management SECI model on the completeness of documentation of discharge planning for tuberculosis. Methods: This research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental approach with post-test only design with nonequivalent control group. The number of samples was 34 medical records with a diagnosis of pulmonary TB, each of which consisted of 17 samples in the control group and 17 samples in the intervention group. The intervention in this research is the implementation of discharge planning based on knowledge management SECI model. The data were taken using the discharge planning SECI model observation sheet and the documentation completeness observation sheet which had been tested by expert and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results showed p value is 0.000 < 0.05. Conclusion: Application of discharge planning based on knowledge management SECI model has a significant effect on the completeness of documentation of discharge planning for tuberculosis (TB). Nurses must become to manage knowledge, good time management, and be a role model in providing nursing care.

Abstract

Mahasiswa keperawatan yang menjalani praktik klinik di rumah sakit seringkali menghadapi tantangan emosional yang signifikan, termasuk kecemasan. Efikasi diri, atau keyakinan terhadap kemampuan sendiri, telah diidentifikasi sebagai faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kecemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara efikasi diri dan kecemasan pada mahasiswa keperawatan selama praktik klinik di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sebanyak 57 responden dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) dengan nilai validitas t-value > 1.96 dan reliabilitas koefisien Cronbach’s alpha 0.847 dan Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) dengan koefisien reliabilitas Cronbach's alpha 0.658 dan validitas dengan nilai r = 0.043 – 0.530, p<0.05 artinya kedua alat ukur ini valid dan reliabel untuk mengukukur efikasi diri dan kecemasan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan analisis regresi. Hasil uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang kuat antara efikasi diri dan kecemasan, dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,745 dan nilai p (p-value) sebesar 0,000, yang mengindikasikan hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,736, dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,672, menunjukkan bahwa 67,2% variabilitas efikasi diri dapat dijelaskan oleh kecemasan. Nilai signifikansi (Sig.) yang diperoleh adalah 0,000. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dan kecemasan pada mahasiswa keperawatan selama praktik klinik di rumah sakit. Abstract

Kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak usia pra sekolah merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung tumbuh kembang optimal. Edukasi oral hygiene pada anak perlu dilakukan sejak dini untuk membentuk kebiasaan baik dalam merawat kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Edukasi oral hygiene pada anak usia pra sekolah bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak usia pra sekolah mengenai oral hygiene. Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan adalah pembelajaran interaktif dalam bentuk ceramah dan demonstrasi yang dilakukan selama dua hari kepada 33 anak usia pra sekolah. Evaluasi pengetahuan dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan untuk mengukur perubahan tingkat pengetahuan anak mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Hasil tingkat pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan dilakukan yaitu sebanyak 69.7% memiliki pemahaman yang tidak memadai tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan mulut dan hanya 30.3% yang memiliki pengetahuan cukup atau baik. Setelah penyuluhan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam tingkat pengetahuan anak. Jumlah anak dengan tingkat pengetahuan sangat kurang dan kurang masing-masing menurun menjadi 21.2%, sementara jumlah anak dengan pengetahuan cukup meningkat menjadi 42.4%, dan yang memiliki pengetahuan baik meningkat menjadi 15.2%. Edukasi oral hygiene melalui metode pendekatan yang interaktif pada usia anak pra sekolah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak usia pra sekolah tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which a child's height is shorter than that of other children of the same age. Children experiencing stunting can be caused by several factors such as poor nutrition experienced by pregnant women and toddlers, lack of knowledge of mothers about health and nutrition that occurs before pregnancy and after childbirth, limited health services, lack of access to nutritious food and lack of access clean water and sanitation. In addition, the practice of giving food to toddlers is something that must be considered, is one way to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers. A good feeding pattern for toddlers will have an impact not only on physical growth but also on their cognitive-mental development. The mother as caregiver has all the decisions regarding healthy feeding practices, including breastfeeding. Giving food to toddlers is closely related to the role of the mother. Mother's education is an important factor that indirectly affects nutritional status, because mother's education will affect parenting patterns for children. The form of community service activities is in the form of delivering material on balanced nutrition, stunting and cooking training. A pre test was carried out before the extension activities with the results of the mother's knowledge level regarding stunting and healthy food, food safety with results of 77.12-80.66, for the post test results given after the delivery of the material and after cooking training, there was an increase in the mother's knowledge about stunting and good food processing and correct at 83.32-86.85. The conclusion is that there is an increase in mother's knowledge regarding stunting and proper and proper food processing which has a direct effect on mother's awareness regarding family nutrition and family health.
