Abstract

Low birth weight (LBW) babies weighing less than 2500 grams have a general condition that they are smaller than normal birth weight babies. Infants with low birth weight are a major factor in increasing infant and child neonatal mortality, morbidity and disability and have a long-term impact on their lives in the future. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of low birth weight at Aulia General Hospital, South Jakarta. The research method is an analytical survey design with a cross sectional approach. The sample was 64 patients who gave birth to mothers in the maternal care room at RSU Aulia, South Jakarta. Sampling using purposive sampling with a questionnaire. The analysis was carried out by using the chi square test. The results of the study from 64 mothers giving birth at RSU Aulia, South Jakarta, obtained 50% of low birth weight babies. Bivariate analysis obtained all variables age (p value 0.000), anemia (p value 0.001), knowledge (p value 0.024), hypertension (p value 0.002), and anxiety (p value 0.000) <0.05 were significantly related to birth weight. low.The conclusion is that mothers who are at risk, have anemia, have low knowledge, have a history of hypertension, and feel anxious are likely to experience low birth weight.Suggestions for pregnant women to pay attention to their pregnancy and the condition of the fetus through ANC visits to health workers..

Abstract

The population problem faced by Indonesia is the high Population Growth Rate (LPP) and Total Fertility Rate (TFR). The use of MKJP is very appropriate to be applied to the condition of Indonesia which is experiencing population growth problems. The low use of MKJP in Indonesia is caused by many factors. In TPMB"S" Bogor, West Java in 2022, it was recorded from the register book that only 30% used MKJP.  This study aims to Analyze Factors Related to the Use of MKJP. This type of research is correlation analytics with Cross Sectional approaches.  The sample was 110 respondents, with random sampling. using questionnaire sheets on KB participants in TPMB "S". The results showed that respondents who had good knowledge (41.9%) using MKJP, had husband support (44.5%), despite receiving good support from health workers, had a sense of anxiety (64.6%). The test results showed that  there was a relationship of knowledge to the use of MKJP itself p-value 0.044, there was a relationship between husband support and the use of MKJP p-value 0.024, there was no relationship between health workers' support and the use of MKJP p-value 0.095. and there is a relationship between anxiety and the use of MKJP    p-value  0.014%.   There is a significant association between knowledge, spousal support, and anxiety. And there is no significant relationship between the support of health workers and the use of MKJP in TPMB "S".

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is the rupture of the membranes before delivery. The incidence of PROM in the world is still high, at 50-60%, while in Indonesia, it is around 65%. Various factors cause PROM that needs to be known so that mothers with PROM can be treated appropriately, namely age, parity, education, infection, and history of PROM. This study aimed to determine the frequency distribution and the relationship of age, parity, education, infection, and history of PROM with the incidence of PROM in women giving birth during the Covid-19 pandemic at RS Sentosa Bogor in 2022. This  research methodology is analytic observational with a case control research design. The study was conducted at Sentosa Hospital, Bogor, from May to July 2022. This study's population is mothers giving birth at Sentosa Hospital in 2022. The research sample amounted to 108 people with a total sampling technique. The data in the study were carried out by univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square statistical tests and computerized programs. The results showed that there was a relation between the incidence of PROM in the mother with knowledge (p 0.020), anemia (p 0.015)  parity one and >3 (p-value 0.009), infection (p-value 0.037), and history of PROM (p-value 0.005). Meanwhile, there is no relationship between maternal education level (p-value 0.546) and the incidence of PROM in pregnant women. Age, parity, infection, and history of PROM are factors in the occurrence of PROM in pregnant women. It is hoped that there will be counseling for prospective mothers regarding  PROM  to avoid the occurrence of PROM in pregnant women.

Abstract

Labor pain as a physiological process occurs due to contraction of the myometrium. Labor pain has a different intensity in each individual. If not handled properly, labor pain and anxiety experienced by the mother can cause trauma. One of the non-pharmacological treatments that can be done is rose aromatherapy. The objective to determine the effect of giving rose aromatherapy to labor pain in the first stage at the Ciputat Fruit Heart Hospital, South Tangerang, Banten Province in 2022. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a pretest and posttest one group design. The study was conducted at Ciputat Fruits Hospital, South Tangerang, from July to early August 2022. The population of all physiological birth mothers at Ciputat Fruits Hospital, South Tangerang, Banten Province in July 2022, the total sample was 30 people. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate with the Wilcoxon test. Data were processed using a computer with the SPSS program. Before being given rose aromatherapy, it was found that the intensity of labor pain in the first stage of labor, namely only 1 person (3.3%) experienced mild pain. Meanwhile, after being given rose aromatherapy, it was found that the intensity of labor pain in the first stage of labor, namely those experiencing mild pain, increased to 9 people (30.0%). Statistical test results of the effect of giving rose aromatherapy to labor pain in the first stage at the Ciputat Fruit Heart Hospital, South Tangerang, Banten Province in 2022 (p value 0.000). Aromatherapy of roses is good in helping to reduce the intensity of labor pain during the first active phase. It is hoped that health workers can implement this intervention in maternity clinics to help mothers reduce the intensity of labor pain.

Abstract

In Indonesia, every year more than 15,000 cases of cervical cancer are detected, and around 8,000 cases of them die. The incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia in 2011 reached 100 per 100,000 population per year. To determine the relationship between female characteristics and the incidence of cervical cancer in patients in the gynecology room of the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital in 2022. This research is a quantitative study with a case control design using primary data with a sample of 58 patients on the 2nd floor of the gynecology room. The sampling technique uses random sampling. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate using chi square. The variables associated with the incidence of cervical cancer were HPV vaccination (p=0.002), early detection of cervical cancer (p=0.003), history of smoking (p=0.009), history of vaginal discharge (p=0.014) and age at first sexual intercourse (p=0.004) with the incidence of cervical cancer, while variables that had no relationship were history of contraception (0.738). There is a relationship between HPV vaccination, early detection of cervical cancer, history of smoking, history of vaginal discharge and age at first sexual intercourse with the incidence of cervical cancer. It is expected to increase women's knowledge about the factors associated with the incidence of cervical cancer.
