Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the duration of use of gadgets and stress levels in Prima Indonesia University students. In the current digital era, the use of gadgets has become an inseparable part of the daily life of students, both for academic purposes, entertainment, and social communication. However, excessive use of gadgets can have a negative impact on mental health, especially in terms of increasing stress levels. It is feared that the use of gadgets among students can trigger various psychological problems, especially when students are faced with high academic pressure, college assignments, and the need to continue to be connected online. Therefore, it is important to understand the extent of the duration of the use of gadgets to contribute to the stress experienced. The research method used is a quantitative survey, with questionnaires distributed to 50 students from various majors, such as economics, information systems, informatics engineering, and medicine. The data collected was analyzed using the Pearson correlation test and regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the length of use of gadgets and stress levels. Students who use gadgets for a longer time tend to have a higher stress level. This finding is expected to be the basis for the development of intervention programs that aim to reduce student stress through wise and healthy management of gadgets.

Abstract

English extracurricular activities are one of the school's strategies to improve students' English language skills, especially at the elementary level. This study aims to determine the effect of English extracurricular activities on students' English proficiency improvement. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of all students at SD Cinta Budaya Medan who participated in the English extracurricular program. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 30 active participants. Data were collected through English language proficiency tests administered before and after the extracurricular program and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings show a significant improvement in students’ English skills after participating in the program. This study presents a novelty by highlighting the effectiveness of extracurricular activities as a non-formal educational intervention that positively impacts language acquisition. The implication encourages schools to maximize extracurricular programs as an integral part of the learning process outside formal instructional hours.

Abstract

Traditional file sharing systems that rely on centralized servers face various challenges. problems such as vulnerability to censorship, blocking, and server failures. This research focuses on the need for file sharing technology that is more secure, censorship-resistant, and does not rely on a single central authority. Challenge the main challenge in developing a new file sharing system is how to overcome the limitations of network scale, slow access speed, and lack of incentives for node providers. Research purposes this is to analyze the role of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) in building a censorship-resistant file sharing infrastructure and evaluate its benefits and constraints compared to conventional file sharing systems. Findings from the literature study show that IPFS has advantages in data decentralization, increasing information availability, and strengthening resistance to censorship. Research results also revealed that although IPFS is able to overcome many weaknesses of traditional systems, further development is still needed in terms of network efficiency and user incentives. In conclusion, IPFS has great potential to become the main foundation in a future digital ecosystem that is more open, secure, and free from third-party intervention.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is a crucial factor in maintaining and enhancing competitiveness in the construction industry. This study aims to explore the influence of material quality and building design on customer satisfaction at CV Tiga Bunga. A quantitative method was employed, collecting data through questionnaires from 50 customers who have used CV Tiga Bunga's services. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results indicate that material quality (MQ) and building design (BD) have a significant positive correlation with customer satisfaction (CS). Regression analysis shows that both material quality and building design jointly significantly influence customer satisfaction, with building design exerting a stronger impact. These findings contribute significantly to practitioners and managers at CV Tiga Bunga in enhancing quality management and design strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
