Abstract

As the basis of the Indonesian state, Pancasila has positive values that can be realized in all aspects, including the younger generation who will encourage the lives of Indonesian people. This must be considered because of the exposure to radicalism that is currently targeting the younger generation. For this reason, educational institutions need to instill the noble values of Pancasila to their students as early as possible, so that the values of togetherness and unity that are upheld are not intolerant. This is also done in the academic community of Bethel Indonesia Theological College (STT). The method used to uncover these facts is a case study that describes social interactions through an in-depth survey. The results of the study stated that STT Bethel Indonesia institutionally and individually practice the values of Pancasila by respecting existing differences, whether ethnicity, race, or class. STT Bethel Indonesia instills Pancasila values in every student through religious and educational activities. The narrative that is built for students is to love each other because it is a mandate given by God to humans to do.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to gather accurate information pertaining to the real-world conditions regarding the implementation of inclusive education and to unearth fundamental problems in providing inclusive education services in madrasas. The study employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches and evaluates a sample of 50 madrasas, along with an additional 8 institutions selected for in-depth analysis. The evaluation findings indicate that, concerning context, the introduction of inclusive education in most madrasas satisfies the prerequisites for executing inclusive education, including conformity with government policy, community demand and the schools' capabilities. Nonetheless, there are various issues regarding input, comprising deficient facilities and infrastructure, inadequate funding, scarcity of specialised support teachers and inadequate curriculum development, among others. Regarding implementation, 59.57% of participants reported that madrasas have been able to carry out the process of incorporating inclusive education, albeit suboptimally. As for outcomes, academic performance among children with disabilities is already noteworthy.

Abstract

Integrity and good character are two qualities that are important for students. Entering the new normal era, this character becomes a particular attraction, especially regarding students' honesty in participating in online/offline learning. Sometimes, the integrity character may not receive maximum attention from the school community and policymakers because the argument is that there is already conditioning in the environment. Schools foster the character of integrity, but from the observations of some teachers, they do not carry out and provide supervision during the learning process. These small rights can lead to the phenomenon of dishonesty, such as cooperation that is not allowed during the test (congregational cheating/academic honesty). The research method carried out is more qualitative. However, it also uses quantitative data as a support to sharpen the analysis. The primary data collection methods are interviews, observation, and document review. The results of the study indicate that the character integrity of students ideally has a model or example of the application of the character of integrity, especially in the aspect of honesty, applying a reward and punishment model to students with good character.

Abstract

Food insecurity affects every aspect of student development. Cultivating food security through education can be implemented through the culturization of food security in nature schools, and it is encouraged to be managed at the elementary level. Research relating to differences in the influence of nature school management on food security has not yet been found. This research aims to analyze the differences in the influence of general and Islamic school management on the culturization of food security. This research used a quantitative approach with a multivariate analysis of variance method using SPSS software. Data were collected using questionnaires of 20 items consisting of three aspects: school policy, learning activity, and student engagement. The participants were 28 principals and representatives in 15 nature elementary schools in West Java Province, Indonesia. The respondents were chosen from a population of nature elementary school principals using purposive sampling. The sampling encompasses the distribution of nature elementary schools based on types of school management and their distributive location. The result of the multivariate test shows a value of 0,260 0.05. This result means that different types of school management have an insignificant impact on the culturization of food security. The weakest aspect is school policy, with a mean score of 15.93, while learning activity and student engagement obtain a mean score of 27.25 and 27.50 for each. These findings imply that school policy in nature elementary schools must be improved to support a food security culture.

Abstract

The current era of digitalization is experiencing very rapid changes. To adjust this, very fast adaptation is needed. Starting from the development of the younger generation in this era, we are currently in the revolution of industry 4.0. The industrial revolution 4.0 is marked by rapid developments in the IT world. The key is in several words such as automation, big data analysis, robot technology, artificial intelligence (AI), to the internet of things (IoT). While many are still adapting to the industrial revolution 4.0, the discourse about the next revolution is the Industrial Revolution 5.0 where in this era it takes knowledge, skills and character of the younger generation who are able to quickly adopt and adapt to the new technology. To keep up with this era, teacher professionalism is needed in order to educate students to become a young generation who are able to move quickly to adapt to the environment. Conducting Community Service through improving the professionalism of SMAN Mande teachers through assistance in the development of the Merdeka curriculum assessment instrument is one of the strategies to support as a support system to realize that era. A teacher with high professionalism will be able to increase the capacity and capability of his students, so that they can welcome the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and 5.0.
