This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that with the increase in the number of wakif and the nominal amount of cash waqf in CWLS SWR002 so that in its management one of them can be allocated for MSME capital provision. LazisNU as a nazhir has an important role in this matter, considering that MSMEs around West Java based on BI survey data in 2020, only around 12.5% of MSMEs are not affected by the pandemic economically. Abstract

The economic order quantity (EOQ) model has become an important instrument in inventory management to minimize costs by balancing ordering and holding costs. This study examines the alignment of the EOQ model with the principles of Maqasid Shari’a, including hifdzul din (protecting religion), hifdzul nafs (protecting the soul), hifdzul aql (protecting reason), hifdzul nasl (protecting descendants), and hifdzul maal (protecting property) and its relevance in the context of Islamic business. Qualitative data were collected through a literature review with a content analysis approach, then analyzed thematically to identify the relationship between EOQ characteristics and Maqasid Shari’a dimensions. The results of the study indicate that the EOQ model is in line with the five principles of Maqasid Shari’a, which include: 1) Hifdzul din: 2) Hifdzul nafs: 3) Hifdzul aql: 4) Hifdzul nasl: 5) Hifdzul maal: This study concludes that by integrating the EOQ model with Maqasid Shari’a, maslahah (common good) will be achieved in the form of economic efficiency and strengthening the ethical and social dimensions in business. The implications will encourage increased transparency, waste reduction, and environmental sustainability. These findings can be a conceptual basis for developing a holistic inventory management model following Islamic economics principles.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the synergy between Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and Sharia values as an integrated approach to strengthening sustainable economic resilience. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through semi-structured interviews with key informants from Islamic finance practitioners, academics, regulators, and sustainability activists, and supported by literature and documentation studies. The results of the study show that there is a strong common ground between ESG principles and maqasid shariah, especially in the aspects of environmental protection (hifz al-bi'ah), social justice (adl), and trustworthy governance (governance). However, this integration still faces challenges such as the lack of sharia-based ESG indicators and limited literacy among practitioners. This research confirms that integrating ESG and Sharia values can strengthen the ethical framework in the financial system and provide a resilient foundation for inclusive and sustainable economic development.
