Abstract

Three aspects of philosophy have become the study of academics and practitioners, namely aspects of ontology, epeistemology, and axiology. This paper deals with the determination of the concepts of onilology, epistemology, and axiology in the science of communication and da'wah. The method used is the literature review method by collecting data by reviewing a variety of literature in the form of books, journals, and online sources. The results of this study explain that by understanding the concepts of ontology, epistemology, and axiology, the search for truth and the science of communication and propaganda can be obtained essentially. In the case of Islamic broadcasting communication, the process of presenting information cannot be compared to presenting information in the context of public communication that is more concerned with business and financial interests. In Islamic broadcasting communication, communication must be seen in an Islamic context where the information presented must be true, obtained through the correct method (epistemology), and has a good aesthetic so that it can be justified.

Abstract

The Scientific Integration Project is a major issue at the University, especially in Indonesia. The style and form of integration carried out vary according to the vision and mission of each tertiary institution. A number of studies have discussed the integration project, but not many have touched on the basis and philosophy behind the project. This article aims to examine the embryo of scientific integration by exploring the Islamization project of Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi's science. This research is purely a literature study by collecting data from books and articles both written by Ismail Al-Faruqi and others. The results showed that despite receiving responses and pros and cons for Muslim scholars about the project, the project has made a major contribution to the development of scientific integration in a number of countries. The integration is then carried out differently according to the vision and mission of a tertiary institution

Abstract

‘Iṣmah al-a’immah issue has been a polemic among the theology community of Sunni-Shia, particularly in the internal Shia. The Shia Ismâ’ilîyah and Ithnâ ‘Asyarîyah communities believe in the absolute ma’ṣûm character of their leaders/imam. Meanwhile, some Shia Zaidîyah communities limit the character, and the rest totally refuses it. Al-Ṭabatabâ’î, a Shia Ithnâ Asyarîyah ulama known to be moderate and is accepted in Sunni community, has similar opinion with his mazhab’s doctrine regarding ‘iṣmah al-a’immah. However, al- Ṭabatabâ’î tried not to dwell on a never-ending ‘iṣmah issue, but interpreted it contextually instead. This article reveals the ‘iṣmah al-a’immah concept of al- Ṭabatabâ’î by applying qualitative research and analytic descriptive method. According to al- Ṭabatabâ’î, an imam/leader must be ma’ṣûm before guiding people toward devotion. The ma’ṣûm level is achieved through knowledge, irâdah and ikhtiyar of imam in obeying Allah and staying away from immorality. Their obedience makes Allah grant them with a well-absorbed special insight (‘ilm ḥuḍûrî) to form a character that later becomes a self-controller from sinful acts, with which they eventually achieve the ma’ṣûm level. Al- Ṭabatabâ’î then tried to escape from further theological debate by interpreting ‘iṣmah as a potential which is achievable by ordinary people to protect human values.

Abstract

In Makassar City, located in South Sulawesi, one of the contributing factors to divorce is the level of theological comprehension or grasp of the teachings of the Islamic faith. Comprehension of the theology can shape perspectives on the duties of the husband and the wife within the marriage institution. This study employs a qualitative-empirical methodology using a theology of law framework. Theology of law is a methodological approach in Islamic studies that focuses on integrating and interconnecting many aspects. The data was gathered through comprehensive interviews and analysis of documents. The informants interviewed were husband and wife who had divorced. The research findings indicate a robust correlation between theology and the Islamic law. An individual with a moderate and contextual theological comprehension will likewise possess a flexible and moderate comprehension of the Islamic legislation. Conversely, an individual with a limited and inflexible comprehension of theology will interpret the Islamic law based on the Qur’an and likely have extremist perspectives. Moreover, the incidence of divorce is a manifestation of Allah SWT's decree or fate. In Jabariyah theology, the acceptance of fate leads to a lack of initiative in pursuing settlement through the established religious courts. These theological reasons are not independent, but rather influenced by economic circumstances and inherited issues that contribute to conflict and discord, ultimately resulting in divorce. From a legal theology standpoint, it is important to highlight that an interpretation of theology that passively submits to and embraces destiny, without making any attempts at reconciliation, leads to divorce, resulting in a failure to effectively apply the Islamic law. According to the Islamic law, a divorce is preceded by a mediation process in a religious court, during which the husband and the wife are given the opportunity to carefully consider all the adverse consequences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas relevansi filsafat positivisme Auguste Comte dengan pengembangan nilai-nilai Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya pada aspek akhlak dan muamalah. Masalah utama yang dikaji adalah bagaimana prinsip positivisme yang menekankan bukti empiris dapat diterapkan dalam pendidikan Islam agar lebih rasional dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, melalui analisis literatur terkait positivisme dan pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan empiris positivisme dapat memperkuat pembelajaran akhlak melalui penilaian perilaku yang objektif, serta mendukung penerapan nilai muamalah dalam interaksi sosial dan ekonomi yang jujur dan transparan. Kesimpulannya, integrasi positivisme dalam pendidikan Islam mampu menciptakan sistem pembelajaran yang ilmiah, terukur, dan tetap berlandaskan nilai spiritual.

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan yang semakin mengalami perkembangan di era modern tidaklah luput dari pengaruh paradigma post-positivisme, yang merupakan bentuk kritikan dari paradigma sebelumnya, yakni paradigma positivisme, disebabkan karena keterbatasan paradigma positivisme yang terlalu menekankan objektivitas dan empirisme, sehingga mengabaikan nilai-nilai spiritual serta dimensi kemanusiaan dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan relevansi paradigma post-positivisme dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, dengan penyajian yang lebih komprehensif dan kontekstual terhadap realitas sosial. Metode yang digunakan ialah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif melalui studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah terkait teori dan praktik pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paradigma post-positivisme memiliki relevansi dalam konteks Pendidikan Islam, paradigm Post-Positivisme mampu mendorong integrasi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum, serta memperkuat peran guru sebagai fasilitator reflektif dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik yang ilmiah, kritis, dan berakhlak. Kesimpulannya, paradigma post-positivisme relevan sebagai dasar filosofis bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang seimbang antara aspek rasional, moral, dan spiritual.

Abstract

This study explores the practice of zuhd (asceticism) within the Tablighi Jamaat community in Palu, Indonesia, through the framework of Dilthey's hermeneutics. Itseeksto interpret the subjective meaning of zuhd as livedspiritualityrather than merely a doctrinal discipline, emphasizing how the Tablighi ethos of simplicity, resilience (tahammul), and detachment from politics reflects the enduring influence of Chishtiyya Sufism. The study employed qualitativemethods, includingin-depth interviews and field observations, involving 15 informants from diverse backgrounds within the Tablighi Jamaat in Palu. Over a six-month observation period, the studyappliedDilthey's dual interpretive model—verstehen (understanding meaning) and erklären (explaining context)—to uncover the inner experiences and ethical structures of zuhd among the participants. The main findings indicate that the asceticism of theTablighiJamaat is characterized by (1) ritual movement (khuruj) as a spiritual discipline, (2) apoliticality as an ethical manifestation of separation, and (3) hospitality and humility asextensionsof Chishtiyyah mysticism. This study concludes thatTablighiasceticism is a living form of Sufism,demonstratingthe continuity of classical Chishtiyyah ethicswithinthe contemporary Islamic da'wah movement.Thestudy contributes theoretically to the hermeneutical understanding of Islamic asceticism and empirically enriches the study of spiritual practices in modern Muslimsocieties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji paradigma konstruktivisme sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran dalam pendidikan agama islam. Konstruktivisme memandang bahwa pegathuan sebagai hasil konstruksi aktif siswa melalui pengalaman, interkasi dan refleksi terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan mmenggunakan metodologi kajian pustaka dengan analisis berbagai literatur terkait konsep paradigma, landasan filosofis konstruktivisme serta penerapan dalam pembelajaran PAI. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konstruktivisme mampu mengubah pembelajaran PAI yang sebelumnya bersifat digmatis menjadi lebih partisipatif. Siswa diberi ruang untuk membangun pemahamannya melalui diskusi, eksplorasi dan peneyelesaian masalah nyata. Berbagai penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis, religiusitas dan hasil belajar siswa sebagai dampak penerpan pendekatan konstruktivisme.

Abstract

Sarana ilmiah merupakan perangkat fundamental dalam membangun pengetahuan ilmiah yang sistematis, rasional, dan objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran bahasa, matematika, statistik, dan logika sebagai sarana ilmiah dalam kajian filsafat ilmu serta relevansinya terhadap pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka dengan pendekatan filosofis-analitis terhadap literatur filsafat ilmu dan epistemologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat sarana ilmiah tersebut memiliki fungsi yang saling melengkapi: bahasa sebagai media komunikasi dan pembentukan konsep, matematika sebagai bahasa simbolik yang eksak, statistik sebagai alat verifikasi empiris, dan logika sebagai fondasi penalaran rasional. Integrasi keempat sarana ini membentuk sistem berpikir ilmiah yang utuh, dimana bahasa menyusun konsep, logika menata hubungan antar-konsep, matematika memberikan bentuk kuantitatif, dan statistik menilai validitas empiris. Kesimpulannya, penguasaan sarana ilmiah menjadi syarat mutlak dalam kegiatan ilmiah karena tanpa sarana yang memadai, proses ilmiah tidak dapat dilakukan secara sistematis dan akurat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji masalah mendasar mengenai bagaimana Bahasa, Matematika, Statistik, dan Logika berinteraksi dan saling mendukung dalam memajukan ilmu pengetahuan. Tujuan utama studi ini adalah menganalisis secara sistematis ketergantungan timbal balik serta peran integratif antara keempat sarana ilmiah esensial ini. Metode yang diterapkan adalah kajian literatur kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis konseptual-filosofis, meninjau kontribusi spesifik masing-masing sarana dalam proses konstruksi teori dan validasi empiris di berbagai disiplin ilmu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Bahasa berfungsi sebagai wadah untuk artikulasi dan abstraksi konsep ilmiah, sedangkan Logika menjamin koherensi dan validitas penalaran dari awal hingga akhir. Sementara itu, Matematika dan Statistik menyediakan kerangka kuantifikasi dan inferensi yang krusial untuk pengujian hipotesis. Kesimpulan menegaskan bahwa perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan modern bergantung secara kritis pada sinergi terpadu dari keempat instrumen tersebut. Kelemahan pada salah satu komponen berpotensi mengganggu rigor ilmiah dan integritas pengetahuan secara keseluruhan.
