Abstract

In this modern era, people's creativity is growing rapidly, this has led to the birth of innovative products. To be able to distinguish these products are usually called trademarks. The research method used is juridical-normative and literature approach. Trademarks are the essence of the smooth trading of goods or services. In accordance with the trademark system in Indonesia according to the National Legal Development Agency (BPHN), namely the first to file principle system, meaning that the owner of a trademark license registers his trademark with the Director General of Intellectual Property Rights first. Regulations regarding these trademarks are stipulated by the Indonesian government with the aim of avoiding similarities between products in circulation. However, there are still many disputes regarding similar trademarks, and settlement of trademark disputes can be carried out if the licensee files a lawsuit against the Commercial Court. Another alternative in dispute resolution is arbitration.

Abstract

Brand is a very important thing for the business world, especially for business people, because the brand is the identity of a product or company that is very valuable. A well-known brand from the United States, namely TIMBERLAND, is in dispute with a local brand, namely TIMBERLAKE, judging from the sentence that dominates the word "TIMBER" and from its mention it can confuse consumers. The registration of the TIMBERLAKE trademark had bad faith and wanted to piggyback on the well-known American brand, TIMBERLAND, because there were similarities in the marks that were detrimental to the plaintiff.

Abstract

According to the Provisional Population Projection Results for 2022–2023 published by the Central Statistics Agency, there are 94,377.6 children between the ages of 0 and 19. Children are a responsibility and a gift from God Almighty that must be preserved since children are born with intrinsic human dignity. Children under the age of 18 are supposedly prohibited from understanding what labor is. The responsibility of the kid is to obtain the right to education and instruction in order to advance their level of intelligence and in line with their interests and abilities.

Abstract

Abstrak Tulisan ini membahas implementasi hak-hak pekerja yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang Ketenagakerjaan di PT Livatech Elektronik Indonesia, dengan fokus pada kasus pelanggaran hak pesangon, keterangan pemecatan, dan perlindungan pekerja selama proses pemutusan hubungan kerja. Kasus PT Livatech Elektronik Indonesia mengungkapkan masih adanya perusahaan yang tidak mematuhi peraturan ketenagakerjaan. Meskipun upaya telah dilakukan oleh perusahaan untuk memastikan pemenuhan hak-hak pekerja, upaya tersebut belum sepenuhnya memuaskan para pekerja. Kesimpulannya, perlindungan hak-hak pekerja di Indonesia memerlukan peran pemerintah dan pemahaman yang lebih baik dari pelaku usaha agar situasi ketenagakerjaan dapat lebih ditingkatkan. Kata Kunci: Ketenagakerjaan, Perlindungan, Hak-Hak, Hubungan Kerja Abstract This article discusses the implementation of workers' rights regulated in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Employment at PT Livatech Elektronik Indonesia, with a focus on cases of violations of severance pay rights, dismissal information, and worker protection during the employment termination process. The case of PT Livatech Elektronik Indonesia reveals that there are still companies that do not comply with labor regulations. Although efforts have been made by the company to ensure the fulfillment of workers' rights, these efforts have not fully satisfied the workers. In conclusion, protecting workers' rights in Indonesia requires the government's role and better understanding from business actors so that the employment situation can be further improved.
