Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research aimed at investigating the use of songs as a learning media to improve high school students mastery of verb conjugation at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano This research adopts Kurt Lewin s Classroom Action Research model which consists of planning action observation and reflection The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano specifically in the XI IPS class comprising 15 students The research was carried out from March to May 2023 The activities were conducted in two cycles over a period of three months In the first cycle it was observed that the students were not accustomed to the teaching and learning process that utilized songs as a learning media This significantly affected the students level of mastery in verb conjugation for each taught topic In the second cycle there was an improvement as both the teacher and students began to familiarize themselves with using songs as a learning media This was evident from the achievement results which showed an increase from an average of only 49 9 in the first cycle to 70 8 in the second cycle < p>

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi serta menjelaskan struktur batin dan fisik dalam lirik lagu termasuk gaya bahasa yang digunakan dan tanda tanda semiotik beserta maknanya Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural semiotik Pendekatan struktural digunakan untuk menganalisis unsur unsur pembentuk karya sastra sedangkan pendekatan semiotik digunakan untuk mengkaji tanda tanda dalam lirik berdasarkan teori Charles Sanders Peirce yaitu ikon indeks dan simbol Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi pembacaan berulang lirik identifikasi gaya bahasa serta analisis tanda melalui pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu ini mengandung berbagai gaya bahasa seperti metafora hiperbola dan repetisi yang memperkuat nuansa emosional dalam lagu Analisis semiotik mengungkap bahwa tanda tanda ikon indeks dan simbol menggambarkan perasaan cinta mendalam kesepian dan kehilangan yang dirasakan penulis Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa karya sastra dalam bentuk lirik lagu dapat dikaji secara mendalam untuk memahami pesan dan makna yang terkandung di dalamnya < p>

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to improve the argumentative writing skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tompaso through the integration of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model and Kahoot media in learning to write argumentative texts. This research employed Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Tompaso. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data collection techniques used in this research included observation, interviews, argumentative writing tests, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the integration of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model and Kahoot media can improve students' argumentative writing skills in terms of both process and product for the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Tompaso. The improvement in the quality of the learning process can be seen from the increased roles of both teachers and students in the learning activities. This improvement is reflected in the emergence of positive responses, such as cooperation, enthusiasm among students, and a more conducive learning atmosphere. The improvement in the learning process ultimately had a positive impact on the improvement of the learning product. The improvement in the product can be seen from the increase in students' argumentative writing scores from Cycle I to Cycle II. The average score in Cycle I was 63.55%, while in Cycle II it increased to 88.22%. The increase in the average score from Cycle I to Cycle II was 24.67%. improvement, learning, writing, argumentative text, Project Based Learning (PjBL).

Abstract

Diese Studie untersucht die Darstellung sozialer Ungerechtigkeit im Gedicht „Der Schwarze in der Zuckerplantage“ mithilfe eines kritischen sozialsemiotischen Ansatzes. Das Gedicht wurde aufgrund seiner Schilderung kolonialer Erfahrungen durch das Leid schwarzer Plantagenarbeiter ausgewählt, wobei es gleichzeitig die ideologische Ambivalenz des europäischen humanistischen Diskurses widerspiegelt. Die Untersuchung verwendet eine qualitative, interpretative Methode und nutzt Textanalysen auf Basis semiotischer Repräsentationsstrategien, thematischer Kodierung und ideologischer Interpretation. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass soziale Ungerechtigkeit primär durch die Dominanz materieller Prozesse konstruiert wird, die Zwangsarbeit und das physische Leid der Kolonialsubjekte repräsentieren. Die semiotische Analyse deckt Repräsentationsstrategien auf, die den Kontrast zwischen kolonialem Wohlstand und dem Leid der Arbeiter betonen, sowie eine eingeschränkte und paternalistische Form der Humanisierung. Die thematische Kodierung deutet auf eine ideologische Struktur hin, die von Ausbeutung, rassischer Marginalisierung und der Ambivalenz des kolonialen Humanismus geprägt ist. Die Studie bestätigt, dass Poesie als diskursive Praxis fungiert, die nicht nur die soziale Realität widerspiegelt, sondern durch sprachliche und semiotische Entscheidungen auch ideologische Strukturen reproduziert. Der kritische sozialsemiotische Rahmen erweist sich als effektiv bei der Integration mikrolinguistischer Analysen mit makrosozialen Interpretationen und leistet damit einen theoretischen Beitrag zu linguistischen, literarischen und sprachpädagogischen Studien.
