Abstract

The demanding daily routines of women of productive age often lead to the neglect of physical and mental health. This sedentary lifestyle is exacerbated by a lack of time and limited digital health literacy, despite high smartphone ownership. This community service initiative aimed to transform sedentary behavior into a digitally active lifestyle by enhancing health digital literacy through a Design Thinking approach. An intensive one-day Edu-Tech Workshop was conducted for 25 women in the Blabak Health Center area, Kediri. The program utilized an abridged version of the Design Thinking framework—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—focusing on the practical application of m-health tools like Google Fit and Riliv. Evaluation was performed using pre-post tests, digital skills indicators, and a 7-day remote monitoring period via WhatsApp. Initial screening revealed that 68% of participants had low digital health literacy. Post-intervention data showed a dramatic surge in health application literacy, with average scores jumping from 35.2 to 92.0. All participants (100%) successfully configured health-monitoring ecosystems on their devices. Sustainability tracking indicated that 76% of participants actively reported achieving their daily step targets, and 60% consistently utilized digital breathing exercises to manage work-related stress. The one-day intensive workshop model effectively overcomes the "double burden" time constraints faced by modern women. By demystifying technology and integrating m-health into daily routines, this approach successfully fosters a sustainable transition toward independent health management.

Abstract

Health is a fundamental pillar of community life, closely linked to quality of life and productivity. One promising preventive effort closely linked is the utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), which are herbal plants cultivated in home gardens and known for their medicinal properties. This community service program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of residents in Mangunrejo Village, particularly in Dusun Munengan, in processing TOGA into safe, practical, and economically valuable health beverage products. The method used to employ in this program involves a participatory approach through education, training, and community mentoring. The plants focused on are clove, sappan wood, and cinnamon, which contain active compounds such as eugenol, brazilin, and cinnamaldehyde—proven to have health benefits such as antioxidant, antidiabetic, and anti-inflammatory effects. Residents were actively involved in every step, from plant identification and processing to the development of final products such as herbal tea bags and ready-to-drink spiced beverages.

Abstract

Early menarche increases the risk of breast cancer, obesity, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, and psychological problems. This study aimed to analyze the effect of interactive digital storytelling on menarche understanding among early adolescent girls at MI Al Irsyad, Kediri City. Using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design, 61 of 70 eligible students were selected by purposive sampling. Before the intervention, most respondents had poor understanding of menarche (57.4%, n = 35). After the intervention, almost all had good understanding (93.4%, n = 57). Cross-tabulation showed that many girls moved from poor to good categories, with 31 respondents (50.8%) improving from poor to good understanding. Paired t-test analysis showed a significant effect (p = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that interactive digital storytelling effectively improved menarche understanding. This approach combines engaging narratives with interactive technology, providing a meaningful and non-intimidating learning experience for adolescents.
