Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact in the field that the writing ability of students in grade II SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan is still low. This condition results in low student learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects under the KKM that has been set, namely 70. This study aims to improve writing skills using the STAD Type Cooperative learning model for class II State Elementary School 18 Air Tawar Selatan. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), where the teacher is the implementer of learning while the researcher is the observer. The design of this study uses the Kemmis and Mc. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, namely in September. The subjects of this study were second grade students of SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan, which consisted of 30 students. The object of research is student learning activity. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. Based on the improvement of learning that has been carried out from Pre-Cycle learning, Cycle I and Cycle II, it is seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes, namely from the Pre-Cycle Average score of 58.7,3 with a percentage of completeness 29.41% while in the first cycle the average value an average of 70.29 with the percentage of completeness increased to 70.5%, and increased again in the second cycle to 100% with an average value of 80.29. The use of the STAD Type Cooperative learning model in learning Indonesian in class II SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk dan makna peribahasa Mentawai Dusun Pariok, Desa Muntei Kecamatan Siberut Selatan Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai, agar anggota masyarakat mengetahui bentuk peribahasa Mentawai dan memahami maknanya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data adalah anggota masyarakat yang menetap di Desa Muntei. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik wawancara, teknik rekam, teknik simak dan catat, serta teknik transkripsi, kemudian data divalidasi melalui triangulasi sumber dan teori. Analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Bentuk peribahasa Mentawai, meliputi peribahasa bersumber dari tumbuhan, hewan, anggota tubuh manusia, dan sifat manusia. Makna peribahasa Mentawai adalah makna yang diterima oleh masyarakat pemakainya didasari adanya hubungan ujaran dan situasi, kata dengan bendanya, hubungan peristiwa dengan kenyataannya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study there are three things. First, describe the exposition writing skills of class X students of SMA Ekasakti Padang before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of picture media, Second, describing the exposition writing skills of class X students of SMA Ekasakti Padang after the Problem Based Learning model Learning (PBL) assisted with media images, and Third, analyzing the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by image media on exposition writing essays of class X students of Ekasakti Padang type of research is quantitative research with descriptive analysis research method. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion can be concluded the following. First, the exposition writing skill of class X.2 students of SMA Ekasakti Padang before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of the picture media was in the "Enough" qualification with an average score of 58. Second, the exposition writing skill of the class students X.2 SMA Ekasakti Padang after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of picture media is in the "Good" qualification with an average value of 83. Third, there is an influence on the forwarding of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models assisted with image media to exposition writing skills of class X.5 students of Ekasakti Padang, after testing the hypothesis using t-test (t-test). Hypothesis testing results obtained tcount of 7.35 and ttable of 1.70 at P 0.95. Comparison between t count and t table shows that t count is greater than t table. Means, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by image media to the exposition writing skills of class X.2 students of SMA Ekasakti Padang, has a significant effect or (H1) is accepted. So, model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Media Assisted Picture worthy applied in learning writing skill exposition.

Abstract

 Tujuan penelitian yakni (1) keterampilan menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Padang sebelum diterapkan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning. (2) Keterampilan menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Padang sesudah diterapkan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning. (3) Menganalisis pengaruh penerapan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Padang.Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah desain pre-test dan post-test group design. Prosedur penelitian ini adalah (1) tahap pretest, (2) perlakuan, (3) posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X4 SMA Negeri 8 Padang yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes unjuk kerja. Prosedur pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini ada tiga yaitu: (1) melakukan pretest, prosedur pengumpulan data sebelum diterapkan teknik mind mapping berbasis problem based learning, (2) melakukan proses pembelajaran dengan penerapan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning, (3) mengadakan postest.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh simpulan sebagai berikut ini. (1) Keterampilan menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X4 SMA Negeri 8 Padang sebelum diterapkan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning berada pada kualifikasi “cukup” dengan nilai 65,21. (2) Keterampilan menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X4 SMK Negeri 8 Padang sesudah diterapkan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning berada pada kualifikasi “baik” dengan nilai 81,6. (3) Terdapat pengaruh penerapan teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Padang dengan pengujian hipotesis melalui pengukuran menggunakan uji-t (t-tes) diperoleh thitung sebesar 4,23, dan ttabel sebesar 1,70 dengan taraf signifikan 0.95 dan derajat kebebasan n-2. Hal ini berarti bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel. Maka hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. Jadi, teknik mind mapping berbasis model problem based learning layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Padang. Kata kunci: Pengaruh, Teknik Mind Mapping, problem based learning, narasi ekspositoris

Abstract

The purpose of this study is three things. First, to describe the skills of producing text descriptions for Class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman before applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Direct Direct Model. Second, describe the skills of producing description texts for VII grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Intruction Model (DI). Third, analyze the influence of the Direct Intruction Model (DI) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the skills of producing text descriptions for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman. The research sample was students of class VII.4, amounting to 30 people. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion the following conclusions are obtained. First, the ability to produce text descriptions for grade VII.4 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Intruction Model (PBL) with an average value of 69.03. Second, the ability to produce text descriptions for grade VII 4 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Instruction Model with an average grade of 78.03. Third, the application of the Model Direct Intruction (DI) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) after t-test at the level of 0.95, obtained tcount> ttable or 4.43> 1.70. So H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Intruction Model (DI) is feasible to be applied to the skills of producing description texts for grade VII.4 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is three things. First, describe the skills of producing statement observation text of SMA Ekasakti Padang student of before applied technic Mind Mapping of based of Project based Learning Model. Second, describe the skill of producing statement observation text of SMA Ekasakti Padang student after applied technic Mind Mapping based of Project based Learning Model. Third, analyze the influence of thetechnic Mind Mapping based of Project based Learning Model to the skill of producing statement observation text of grade X students of SMA Ekasakti Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. The research method applied is descriptive method of analysis. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion obtained the following conclusions. First, the skill of producing the statement observation text of the students of class X IPA 1 SMA Ekasakti Padang before applied the technic Mind Mapping based on the model of Project based Learning is in medium qualification with the average value of 64. Second, the skill of producing the statement observation text of the students of class X IPA 1 SMA Ekasakti Padang after the adoption technic Mind Mapping method Based on the Project based Learning model is in good qualification with the average value of 84. Third, the influence of the application of technic Mind Mapping method Based on the Project based Learning model on the skills of producing poetical text after the t-test at the level of 0.95, obtained tcount> ttable or 9.42> 1.70. So H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. This means, the implementation of technic Min Mapping method Based on the Project based Learning model is feasible applied to learning to produce statement observation text of students of class X SMA Ekasakti Padan

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the article writing skills of students at the Language and Literature Education Study Program at Ekasakti University in Padang before and after the implementation of the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model assisted by audio visual media and to analyze the effect of implementing the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model assisted by audio visual media on article writing skills Students of the Language and Literature Education Study Program, Ekasakti University, Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of this research are that students' article writing skills before applying the PjBL model assisted by audio-visual media obtained an average of 65.00, students' article writing skills after applying the PjBL model assisted by audio-visual media, the highest score obtained was an average of 78.58, applying the PjBL model with the help of audio visual media, after carrying out the t-test, it was obtained that tcount > ttable or 3.27 > 1.70. So H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the application of the PjBL model assisted by audio-visual media is feasible to apply to the article writing skills of students at the Language and Literature Education Study Program, Ekasakti University, Padang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a document review conducted related to several scientific articles of students. Based on this, it is known that the writing of scientific articles does not meet the standards of writing standard Indonesian. Some errors in the use of Indonesian Spelling, one of which is the placement of writing prepositions is not in accordance with standard Indonesian writing. Students consider that prepositions are not important to pay attention to so that students ignore writing in the use of prepositions. Several other studies have shown that the use of prepositions has not been mastered by elementary school students in writing narrative essays. This research was conducted by Ngaisah and Sugiarti in 2018. So, it can be concluded that prepositions have been taught starting from elementary school level. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study are sentences that use prepositions in scientific articles written by students of Ekasakti University. The data source in this study is the scientific articles of students of Ekasakti University. The data collection technique in this study is the document search technique. The steps in data collection are: First, data is collected by selecting and collecting several scientific articles of students of Ekasakti University. Second, the author analyzes the use of prepositions in scientific articles of students. The findings and discussion show that students are still unable to use prepositions according to their function and writing. Students make several mistakes in writing single prepositions, namely in the use of the prepositions di and ke. Mistakes are also found in the use of combined prepositions that do not match their function, such as the use of the prepositions from…until.
