Abstract

The exploration of pragmatics learning on speech context material using Case Base Method (CBM) is the topic of this research. Explorative qualitative method as a framework to analyze meaningful information about the application of CBM in speech context learning. CBM has advantages and disadvantages that cannot be avoided in the learning process. The advantages are to train students to learn contextually, think critically; solve problems, be able to integrate prior knowledge into cases, develop concepts/ideas; and develop the values of tolerance, respect for other people's opinions, and democracy. Research subjects in the form of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Unes registered in the 2024/2025 academic year participated in this study. Data collection used observation, interview, recording, and questionnaire techniques, then analyzed narratively. This study showed that students mastered the concept of context significantly, discussion activation increased, motivation and collaboration developed well, and critical thinking occurred in some students. The challenge for lecturers is to assist students who are passive and must be able to formulate topics and cases that are interesting to students.

Abstract

Language politeness is an attitude that must be maintained in communication activities, both speakers and speech partners, in order to produce polite speech, so that between speakers and speech partners can establish good communication. Politeness is a rule of behavior that is determined and agreed upon by a certain society so that politeness is also a prerequisite agreed upon by social behavior. This research aims to describe the form of politeness of the teacher's speech in class XI SMA 8 Padang in the teaching and learning process. Politeness is a form of cultural politeness. The type of research conducted is qualitative research. Research that produces data descriptions in the form of spoken words from the objects observed. To achieve the objectives in accordance with the problem under study, descriptive method is used. Descriptive method is a method that is done by collecting, compiling and analyzing and interpreting data. The data obtained is described to answer research questions. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the form of language politeness of class XI teachers of SMA 8 Padang, there is a more dominant one can be seen below. (1) imperative politeness mode 40 utterances, (2) interrogative politeness mode 37 utterances, (3) declarative politeness mode 33 utterances.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pengetahuan siswa menuliskan kembali karakteristik hikayat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsi kemampuan menuliskan kembali karakteristik hikayat dengan bantuan media audiovisual siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian diambil sebanyak 25% dari 288 siswa yaitu 72 siswa menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes unjuk kerja berupa menuliskan kembali karakteristik hikayat berbantuan media audiovisual. Data dianalisis berdasarkan langkah-langkah yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian adalah siswa yang mampu menuliskan kemustahilan berada pada kualifikasi sempurna 44 orang (61%), nilai lebih dari cukup sebanyak 11 orang (15%), nilai kurang sekali 17 orang (24%). Siswa yang mampu menuliskan kembali kesaktian dengan kualifikasi nilai tertinggi sebanyak 21 orang (29%), nilai lebih dari cukup. sebanyak 16 orang (22%), nilai kurang sekali sebanyak 35 orang (49%). Kemampuan siswa menuliskan kembali istana sentris dengan kualifikasi nilai tertinggi sebanyak 66 orang (92%) dan nilai lebih dari cukup sebanyak 6 orang (8%).Kemampuan siswa menuliskan kembali kata arkais dengan kualifikasi nilai tertinggi sebanyak 41 orang (57%), nilai lebih dari cukup sebanyak 13 orang (18%), nilai kurang sekali sebanyak 18 orang (25%). Dengan demikian, secara keseluruhan kemampuan siswa menuliskan kembali karakteristik hikayat ada pada kualifikasi baik.

Abstract

Pembaca tidak dapat menerima pesan-pesan dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang pahamnya pembaca terhadap praanggapan yang bisa membuat kesalahpahaman makna. Kesalahpahaman makna dapat menyebabkan bertujuan umtuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis praanggapan dalam novel Jejak Sang Pencerah karya Didik L. Hariri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan tokoh dalam bentuk kalimat, kata, frasa, klausa yang mengandung praanggapan dalam novel ” Jejak Sang Pencerah” karya Didik L. Hariri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, data yang terdapat praanggapan dalam novel Jejak Sang Pencerah karya Didik L. Hariri sebanyak 86 data yaitu: (1) Praanggapan eksistensial terdiri dari 21 data, (2) praanggapan faktif terdiri dari 4 data, (3) praanggapan leksikal terdiri dari 19 data, (4) praanggapan struktural terdiri dari 39 data,(5) praanggapan nonfaktif terdiri dari 2 data dan (6) praanggapan kontrafaktual terdiri dari 1 data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sering terjadi kesalahan dalam memilih kata sapaan bagi . Hal ini disebabkan oleh pemahaman yang rendah terhadap jenis kata sapaan dan tujuan penggunaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kata sapaan kekerabatan dan nonkekerabatan dalam bahasa Mentawai dialek Simatalu yang digunakan oleh Masyarakat Desa Simatalu Kecamatan Siberut Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik catat, teknik pustaka. Teknik analasisi data yang digunakan adalah menerjemahkan transkripsi, memilah-milah, mengklarifikasikan, menginterpretasi, menganalisis. Hasil penelitian, Sistem Sapaan kekerbatan adalah kata sapaan yang digunakan untuk menyapa seseorang yang termasuk dalam hubungan keluarga, sedangkan nonkekrabatan, kata sapaan umun merupakan kata sapaan yang sifatnya tidak resmi dalam hubungan kekerabatan maupun di luar kekerabatan yang dikaitkan dengan kedudukan seseorang baik dalam adat, agama, maupun jabatan yang tidak resmi. Penggunaan kata sapaan kekerabatan dan nonkekerabatan sampai sekarang masih digunakan oleh masyarakat di Desa Simatalu, Masyarakat Simatalu menganut sistem kekerabatan patrilineal, yaitu sistem kekerabatan berdasarkan garis keturunan ayah. Sistem patrilineal ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap anak mewarisi garis keturunan ayah. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kata sapaan kekerabatan dan nonkekerabatan di Desa Simatalu Kecanmatan Siberut Barat Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai sampai sekarang masih digunakan dalam komunikasi sehari-hari.

Abstract

This research is motivated by: First, teachers pay less attention to the learning process of students. Second, the way teachers teach and process teaching materials is less innovative. Third, students have difficulty in expressing ideas in writing. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to write poetry using the jigsaw method of class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive method. Thepopulation of this study were students of class X.E9 SMA Negeri 9 Padang. The data of this research is the score of the test results of writing poetry using the jigsaw method of class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded as follows: First, the ability to write poetry using the jigsaw method of class X SMA Negeri 9 Padang students for diction indicators is good (B) with an average of 77.78 in the range (76-85%) on a scale of 10. Second, the ability to write poetry using the jigsaw method of class X SMA Negeri 9 Padang students for imagery indicators is classified as more than sufficient (LDC) with an average of 68.89 in the range (66-75%). Third, the ability to write poetry using the jigsaw method of grade X students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang for the majas indicator is sufficient (C) with an average of 56.67 within the range (56-67%) on a scale of 10. Fourth, the ability to write poetry using the jigsaw method of grade X students of SMA Negeri 9 Padang for the combination of the three indicators is sufficient (C) with an average of 63.34 within the range (56-65%) on a scale of 10.

Abstract

This research is motivated by: First, students did not understand the structure of the text of the observation report correctly and had difficulty distinguishing each structure of the text of the observation report. Second, students find it difficult to express the results of their thoughts to convey them in writing. Third, students find it difficult to put together complete words. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The data for this research are the scores from the performance test for writing text report observations of class X students at SMA Darul Maarif Triguna Padang. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded as follows: First, the ability to write report texts based on observations of class X student at SMA Darul Maarif Triguna Padang  for indicators general statement is classified as good (B) with an average of 81.12 in the range 76-85% on a scale of 10. Second, the ability to write report texts based on observations of class X student at SMA Darul Maarif Triguna Padang for indicator section description is classified as  very good (BS) with an average of 90 in the range 86-95% on a scale of 10. Third, the ability to write report texts based on observations of class X student at SMA Darul Maarif Triguna Padang for indicator description of benefits is classified as more than enough (LdC) with an average of 66,67 in the range 66-75% on a scale of 10. Fourth, the ability to write report texts based on observations of class X student at SMA Darul Maarif Triguna Padang for overall it is classified as good (B) with an average of 80.371 in the range of 76-85% on a scale of 10.
