Abstract

The exploration of pragmatics learning on speech context material using Case Base Method (CBM) is the topic of this research. Explorative qualitative method as a framework to analyze meaningful information about the application of CBM in speech context learning. CBM has advantages and disadvantages that cannot be avoided in the learning process. The advantages are to train students to learn contextually, think critically; solve problems, be able to integrate prior knowledge into cases, develop concepts/ideas; and develop the values of tolerance, respect for other people's opinions, and democracy. Research subjects in the form of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Unes registered in the 2024/2025 academic year participated in this study. Data collection used observation, interview, recording, and questionnaire techniques, then analyzed narratively. This study showed that students mastered the concept of context significantly, discussion activation increased, motivation and collaboration developed well, and critical thinking occurred in some students. The challenge for lecturers is to assist students who are passive and must be able to formulate topics and cases that are interesting to students.

Abstract

Language politeness is an attitude that must be maintained in communication activities, both speakers and speech partners, in order to produce polite speech, so that between speakers and speech partners can establish good communication. Politeness is a rule of behavior that is determined and agreed upon by a certain society so that politeness is also a prerequisite agreed upon by social behavior. This research aims to describe the form of politeness of the teacher's speech in class XI SMA 8 Padang in the teaching and learning process. Politeness is a form of cultural politeness. The type of research conducted is qualitative research. Research that produces data descriptions in the form of spoken words from the objects observed. To achieve the objectives in accordance with the problem under study, descriptive method is used. Descriptive method is a method that is done by collecting, compiling and analyzing and interpreting data. The data obtained is described to answer research questions. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the form of language politeness of class XI teachers of SMA 8 Padang, there is a more dominant one can be seen below. (1) imperative politeness mode 40 utterances, (2) interrogative politeness mode 37 utterances, (3) declarative politeness mode 33 utterances.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is three things. First, to describe the skills of producing text descriptions for Class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman before applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Direct Direct Model. Second, describe the skills of producing description texts for VII grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Intruction Model (DI). Third, analyze the influence of the Direct Intruction Model (DI) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the skills of producing text descriptions for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman. The research sample was students of class VII.4, amounting to 30 people. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion the following conclusions are obtained. First, the ability to produce text descriptions for grade VII.4 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Intruction Model (PBL) with an average value of 69.03. Second, the ability to produce text descriptions for grade VII 4 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Instruction Model with an average grade of 78.03. Third, the application of the Model Direct Intruction (DI) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) after t-test at the level of 0.95, obtained tcount> ttable or 4.43> 1.70. So H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Direct Intruction Model (DI) is feasible to be applied to the skills of producing description texts for grade VII.4 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pariaman.

Abstract

The purpose of this research. First, it describes the writing skills of exposition essays for class X students of SMA Negeri Ekasakti Padang before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by media images. Second, it describes the exposition essay writing skills of class X SMA Ekasakti Padang after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by media images. Third, analyzing the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by media images on the exposition essay writing skills of class X SMA Ekasakti Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. The results of data analysis and discussion are. First, the exposition writing skills of class X.2 SMA Ekasakti Padang before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by media images were in the "Enough" qualification with an average score of 58. Second, the writing skills of class X.2 Ekasakti Padang exposition essays after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by media images are in the "Good" qualification with an average score of 83. Third, there is the influence of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by media images on the exposition essay writing skills of class X.2 SMA Ekasakti Padang. The results of testing the hypothesis obtained tcount of 7.35 and ttable of 1.70 at P 0.95. So, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by media images has a significant effect on the exposition essay writing skills of class X.2 SMA Ekasakti Padang

Abstract

The purpose of this research is three things. First, describe the skills of producing statement observation text of SMA Ekasakti Padang student of before applied technic Mind Mapping of based of Project based Learning Model. Second, describe the skill of producing statement observation text of SMA Ekasakti Padang student after applied technic Mind Mapping based of Project based Learning Model. Third, analyze the influence of thetechnic Mind Mapping based of Project based Learning Model to the skill of producing statement observation text of grade X students of SMA Ekasakti Padang. This type of research is quantitative research. The research method applied is descriptive method of analysis. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion obtained the following conclusions. First, the skill of producing the statement observation text of the students of class X IPA 1 SMA Ekasakti Padang before applied the technic Mind Mapping based on the model of Project based Learning is in medium qualification with the average value of 64. Second, the skill of producing the statement observation text of the students of class X IPA 1 SMA Ekasakti Padang after the adoption technic Mind Mapping method Based on the Project based Learning model is in good qualification with the average value of 84. Third, the influence of the application of technic Mind Mapping method Based on the Project based Learning model on the skills of producing poetical text after the t-test at the level of 0.95, obtained tcount> ttable or 9.42> 1.70. So H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. This means, the implementation of technic Min Mapping method Based on the Project based Learning model is feasible applied to learning to produce statement observation text of students of class X SMA Ekasakti Padan

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact in the field that the writing ability of students in grade II SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan is still low. This condition results in low student learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects under the KKM that has been set, namely 70. This study aims to improve writing skills using the STAD Type Cooperative learning model for class II State Elementary School 18 Air Tawar Selatan. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were second grade students of SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan, which consisted of 30 students. The object of research is student learning activity. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. Based on the improvement of learning that has been carried out from Pre-Cycle learning, Cycle I and Cycle II, it is seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes, namely from the Pre-Cycle Average score of 58.7,3 with a percentage of completeness 29.41% while in the first cycle the average value an average of 70.29 with the percentage of completeness increased to 70.5%, and increased again in the second cycle to 100% with an average value of 80.29. The use of the STAD Type Cooperative learning model in learning Indonesian in class II SD Negeri 18 Air Tawar Selatan can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the article writing skills of students at the Language and Literature Education Study Program at Ekasakti University in Padang before and after the implementation of the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model assisted by audio visual media and to analyze the effect of implementing the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model assisted by audio visual media on article writing skills Students of the Language and Literature Education Study Program, Ekasakti University, Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of this research are that students' article writing skills before applying the PjBL model assisted by audio-visual media obtained an average of 65.00, students' article writing skills after applying the PjBL model assisted by audio-visual media, the highest score obtained was an average of 78.58, applying the PjBL model with the help of audio visual media, after carrying out the t-test, it was obtained that tcount > ttable or 3.27 > 1.70. So H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the application of the PjBL model assisted by audio-visual media is feasible to apply to the article writing skills of students at the Language and Literature Education Study Program, Ekasakti University, Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of digital sources in improving reading literacy of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Ekasakti University, Padang. The development of information technology provides easy access to various digital reading sources such as e-books, online journals, online scientific articles, educational blogs, and other digital media. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 30 2nd semester students as informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the use of digital sources has a positive impact on increasing reading interest, critical thinking skills, and active involvement of students in learning. However, challenges were also found such as lack of skills in evaluating the credibility of information and the risk of plagiarism. The role of lecturers as facilitators is very important in guiding students to use digital sources effectively and responsibly. With an adaptive learning strategy, the use of digital sources can strengthen reading literacy that is relevant to the demands of 21st century education.

Abstract

Literature learning is a means to provide students with an understanding of gender perspectives. This study aims to describe the forms of gender discrimination that occur in the Kartini novel by Adibah El Khalieqy (2) The relevance of gender perspective studies to literature learning at the secondary school level. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques in the form of reading and note-taking techniques. The data source used in this study is the literary work of the Kartini novel by Adibah El Khalieqy. Data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, sentences containing statements of gender discrimination in the Kartini novel by Adibah El Khalieqy. Results The results of the study show that 1) Gender discrimination generally occurs in all female characters in the novel. Ngasirah (Kartini's biological mother), Kartini, and Kardinah. Forms of gender discrimination include marginalization, subornation, stereotypes, and violence. 2) The study of feminism in the Kartini novel regarding gender perspective is quite relevant to literature learning at the secondary school level with the Brainstorming learning method.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the assumption of students who say that the use of conjunctions is easy and trivial. Learning about conjunctions is taught together with several other language skills learning such as writing and reading. Learning is more focused on learning language skills only. Meanwhile, linguistic rules are often neglected in learning. The purpose of this research is to analyze the use of conjunctions in the theses of students of Indonesian language and literature education program of Ekasakti University. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study are conjunctions used in the theses of students at Ekasakti University. The data collection technique in this research is a document search technique. Through documents. Data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data presentation with the help of data recording tables, and drawing conclusions. Data validity is carried out by triangulating sources and theories, namely testing the validity of data using theories and sources relevant to the object. The result shows that there is an inaccurate use of conjunction in the thesis of Ekasakti University students. The inaccurate use of conjunctions is mostly found in the use of subordinative conjunctions. Students are not able to place the conjunction according to the function of the conjunction. Even students have not fully paid attention to the difference in writing conjunctions within sentences and between sentences.
