Research on Inventory type of shrimp in the waters of Kampung Nipah Perbaungan Bedagai Serdang District of North Sumatra, aims to determine the types of shrimp. The method used in this research is descriptive by surveying the catch. Data collection was performed by a sample of shrimp fisherman catch sea and river waters Nipah home twon village it selp Nipah arrest shrimp sample. Results of research on the waters of the River and Sea waters found 13 species belonging to four families. The families that most species are Panaeidae, while families Squillidae has one endemic species in the waters of the Sea. The families that most species Palaemoidae, while families Atydae has one endemic species in the waters of the river.

The purpose of this research are to know the beneficiaries and symbols contained in sugar palm plants in traditional ceremony Sipaha Lima. The method used in this research are the method of observation and depth interview. The data obtained in the form of plant parts used, how to obtain it and the meaning of symbol of the plant.The results is obtained eight types of use of sugar palm in traditional ceremony Sipaha Lima. Part of the plants used are: stems, leaves, and midrib. These plants are obtained from forests and crops.

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi peternak puyuh tentang penggunaan minuman herbal berupa campuran ekstrak daun serai, daun jeruk purut, dan daun ruku-ruku untuk meningkatkan kesehatan puyuh yang nantinya akan mendukung pertumbuhan puyuh. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di Peternakan Puyuh Desa Sukadamai Timur Kecamatan Hinai adalah metode ceramah, diskusi serta praktek langsung tentang pembuatan dan penggunaan minuman herbal yang diberikan secara langsung pada puyuh. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat adalah ceramah, diskusi, praktek langsung tentang pembuatan minuman herbal berupa campuran ekstrak daun serai, daun jeruk purut, dan daun ruku-ruku sebagai minuman puyuh serta aplikasi langsung pemberian minuman herbal pada puyuh. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan peternak terutama dalam membuat minuman herbal untuk kesehatan ternak puyuh. Kesimpulan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan pembuatan minuman herbal berupa campuran ekstrak daun serai, daun jeruk purut, dan daun ruku-ruku sebagai minuman puyuh sangat menarik minat para peternak serta meningkatkan pemahaman peternak tentang pentingnya bahan herbal yang ada disekitar peternak untuk mendukung kesehatan puyuh.Abstract: The objective of community service was to provide guidance to quail farmers about the utilization of herbal drinks derived from a mixture of extract of lemongrass, lime and basil leave to improve the health of quail so increase the growth of quail. The method in this activity at Quail Farm, Sukadamai Timur Village, Hinai District was the method of lecture, discussion, practice the manufacture of herbal drink and application of herbal drink at quails. The results of community service were lectures, discussions, practice on the manufacture of herbal drinks derived from a mixture of extract of lemongrass, lime and basil leave, and application at quails. This activity was able to increase the knowledge of farmers, especially manufacturing herbal drinks for quail health. The conclusion was the manufacture of herbal drinks derived from a mixture of extract of lemongrass, lime and basil leave as a quail drink were very attractive to the farmers and improve farmers understanding of the importance of herbal ingredients to support quail health

Abstrak: Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu memberikan pelatihan tentang pemanfaatan larva lalat black solder fly (Hermetia illucens) dengan berbagai media berbeda sebagai pakan puyuh di Peternakan Puyuh Desa Sukadamai Timur Kecamatan Hinai Kabupaten Langkat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam beberapa metode pelaksanaan yaitu kegiatan pertama dengan melaksanakan ceramah dengan beberapa penyampaian materi, kemudian kegiatan kedua yaitu diskusi antara peternak dengan tim pengabdian dan kegiatan terakhir yaitu pengaplikasian secara langsung/ praktek langsung membuat pakan puyuh dengan pemanfaatan larva lalat black solder fly (Hermetia illucens) dengan berbagai media berbeda yang diberikan secara langsung ke ternak puyuh. Pada pengabdian masyarakat ini diperoleh hasil yaitu telah terlaksananya kegiatan yang dimulai dari ceramah, diskusi dan praktek langsung membuat pakan ternak puyuh dengan pemanfaatan larva lalat black solder fly (Hermetia illucens) dengan berbagai media berbeda yang dapat menggantikan pakan komersil sehingga dapat mengurangi biaya pakan. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan larva BSF sebagai pakan puyuh sangat bermanfaat bagi peternak karena dapat menggantikan pemakaian pakan komersil sehingga mengurangi biaya pakan puyuh di Peternakan Puyuh Desa Sukadamai Timur Kecamatan Hinai Kabupaten Langkat.Abstract: The aims of community service were to provide training on the utilization of black solder fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae with various different media as quail feed in Quail Farmer’s Sukadamai Timur Village, Hinai District, Langkat Regency. Integrating local wisdom in the context of English learning is very important regarding to the culture maintenance. Learning English as a foreign language has two kinds of motivation namely instrumental and integrative. This study applied qualitative design by administrating the questionnaires to two teachers and 20 students. The results showed that the teachers had not integrated the local wisdom optimally and tended to apply the systemic knowledge in English teaching rather than the schematic knowledge. However, both of them showed their positive responses in relation to integrate the local wisdom in the teaching materials. Furthermore, most students showed their positive responses regarding to integrate local wisdom into English materials in order to maintain and protect their local wisdom and tradition.

The purpose of this research is to know what kind of snake and to find out the condition of the environment where he found the type of snake in Bukit Lawang, Bahorok Sub-district, Langkat regency of North Sumatera in December 2017 until January 2018. Sampling with exploratory method to all areas with potential snake. The results found 8 types of snakes grouped into 4 families, 3 types of columbridae 1 type of pareidae, 1 type of viperidae, and 1 type of lamprophiidae. Environmental temperature found at snake range of 25 ° C 32 ° C Chrysopelea pelia and Boiga dendrophila found in pH 7.0 Based on IUCN Red List and CITES Appendix snake found in Bukit Lawang Bahorok District Langkat Regency into Least Concern ( LC), and does not enter into appendix III, nor III in CITES, is not protected or animals threatened to exist until it can lead to extinction. The snake is a snake that spread widely and not endemic.

The research on bacterial testing on boiled water of boiled mackerel (Rastelliger sp) has been conducted. The study applied treatment of boiled water that is not replaced and is used continuously in several stages. This study aims to determine the effect of boiled water on the quality of fish production, and determine its effect on meat tectrus, gill color, and aromas. The study was conducted with a descriptive qualitative method. Boiled mackerel quality is measured using the total plate count method, which is to count the number of bacterial colonies in the water before boiling and after boiling.

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari aplikasi ini adalah mengoptimalkan Aplikasi Mobile Zagiyan ( Zaringan Digital Nelayan) Dalam Menunjang Produktivitas Dan Keselamatan, Dan Kesehatan Nelayan ( Studi Kasus Kelompok Nelayan Percut) . Target utama Pengabdian ini adalah mengimplementasikan software dan system aplikasi mobile Zagiyan denganberbagai fitur seperti Fitur Harga ikan, Laporan Pendapatam , Info koperasi , info puskesmas, check in, report , panic dan lain lain. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah Nelayan mengenal aplikasi android Zagiyan untuk Peningkatan produktivitas, keselamatan dan kesehatan masyarakat pesisir. Tingkat Keakuratan aplikasi ini mencapai 90% . Aplikasi ini juga telah diterapkan di beberapa daerha yaitu Bagan Deli dan Percut .Aplikasi ini diharapkan menjadi solusi bagi seluruh nelayan Indonesia.

The problem that is carried out by farmers in Samosir is that it is difficult for them to sell their crops at a higher price. Apart from that, agricultural products have never been used. Usually, the farmer will turn on the waste or the rest of the production. Also, the problem that occurs is the attack of fungi on the onion plant. Until now there are no experts who can damage the farmers. Also, the question that arises is the attack of mushrooms on the onion plant. Until now there are no experts who can hurt the farmers. Solution to overcome this problem by using the "HUKAKU" Auction Application Farmers can sell agricultural products at reasonable and competitive prices and "PETANI" Application Farmers can communicate and discuss with agricultural experts. The method used today is using learning services that provide training and software assistance for workers to increase productivity. The results of this activity are farmers, and they are those who get access to information and information about agriculture and pest control.

The demand for pakcoy vegetables in urban areas is quite high, but these vegetables must be supplied from outside the city or suburban areas. The limited land available is one of the reasons why urban communities cannot produce their vegetables. Urban farming is the right solution to overcome the problem of limited land. One of the urban farming technologies that can be applied is vertical plant cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of pakcoy plants to liquid complementary fertilizer in a vertical system. The materials used were green fortune pakcoy seeds, liquid complementary fertilizer, compost, husk charcoal, and NPK fertilizer while the tools used were polybags and bamboo racks. The research variables observed were the number of leaves, leaf width, plant height, plant fresh weight, and plant dry weight. The results showed significant differences in plant height, leaf width, and several leaves seen after the plants were 21 DAP. The P4 treatment with a concentration of 2.5 cc/liter of liquid Complementary Fertilizer (PPC) and in the best plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, fresh weight, and dry weight of pakcoy plants.
