Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kegiatan stock opname pada Perpustakaan Kementerian, Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengenai kegiatan stock opname yang dilakukan oleh Perpustakaan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi secara lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa wawancara dengan empat pustakawan yang masih aktif di Perpustakaan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan stock opname di Perpustakaan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi merupakan kegiatan yang penting untuk pengengolaan koleksi perpustakaan. Kegiatan stock opname yang dilaksanakan memiliki tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan stock opname, implementasi stock opname, dan posting stock opname. Meskipun demikian, hasil penelitian ini juga masih perlu ditingkatkan tiap tahun nya agar selalu terbarui. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan revisi tiap tahun untuk menyesuaikan perkembangan zaman dan kebutuhan selama kegiatan stock opname berlangsung.

Abstract

Background of the study: The response of members of the motorcycle community in Semarang to social media is in the spotlight because it triggers brawls. A person's ability to respond to digital information is interesting to study from two sides: the information science side, which focuses on digital literacy, and the psychology side, which uses the Freudian psychoanalytic approach. Purpose: A more profound investigation is required to ascertain the Freudian psychoanalytic perspective on digital literacy of the motorcycle community in Semarang. Method: Qualitative research with a phenomenological approach was selected to investigate the experiences of motorcycle community members in Semarang regarding digital literacy. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis. This research involved six informants who are members of the motorcycle community in Semarang. Findings: The relationship between psychoanalysis and digital literacy can be utilized to gain insight into the Freudian psychoanalytic perspective on digital literacy within the motorcycle community in Semarang. One of the critical areas of study in Freudian psychoanalysis is the development of an individual's cognitive processes. As observed through psychoanalytic lenses, the digital literacy abilities of motorcycle community members in Semarang can be understood based on three fundamental elements: the id, ego, and superego. Conclusion: A complex array of internal and external factors shapes the digital literacy behavior of the motorcycle community in Semarang. The internal elements are primarily influenced by Freudian psychoanalysis, which posits the existence of three fundamental psychological drives: the id, ego, and superego. In contrast, external elements are shaped by mind space, which encompasses both cognitive processes and environmental factors. These two domains collectively influence an individual's behavior, thought patterns, and decision-making abilities.

Abstract

Stereotip atau pandangan masyarakat terhadap profesi pustakawan sebagian besar didominasi oleh stereotip yang tidak menguntungkan atau negatif. Gambaran pustakawan dalam film juga mempengaruhi masyarakat dalam menggeneralisasi sikap, perilaku, dan kepribadian pustakawan secara umum, sehingga membentuk stereotip. Jika stereotip negatif terhadap pustakawan terus berlanjut, hal ini akan mengganggu layanan perpustakaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah kualitatif, dengan analisis semiotik peta tanda Roland Barthes sebagai metode analisis data pada adegan dan dialog film, serta berdasarkan teori arketipe yang diperkenalkan oleh Carl Gustav Jung sebagai dasar untuk menganalisis kepribadian karakter pustakawan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakter pustakawan Mr. Goodson memiliki arketipe yang menonjol seperti persona, bayangan, pahlawan, anima, dan orang tua yang bijaksana. Arketipe Mr. Goodson sebagai pustakawan mengungkapkan kepribadiannya sebagai pustakawan yang ramah, tegas, peduli, empati, berani, dan bijaksana. Hal ini mengarah pada penggambaran kepribadian pustakawan dalam arah yang positif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggambaran atau representasi kepribadian karakter pustakawan Mr. Goodson dalam film The Public mengarah pada penilaian yang positif dan progresif. Penggambaran karakter Mr. Goodson dalam arah yang positif bertujuan untuk memberikan masyarakat pandangan baru tentang sikap, perilaku, dan kepribadian pustakawan. Hal tersebut diharapkan dapat mengubah pandangan masyarakat terhadap profesi pustakawan secara umum menjadi lebih positif.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of content from the Instagram account @balaiyanpus.dpaddiy on the level of library anxiety among patrons of Grhatama Pustaka. The primary objective is to determine whether exposure to this social media content is associated with variations in users’ library anxiety levels. The Croatian Library Anxiety Scale (CRO-LAS) was employed as the measurement framework for assessing library anxiety. A quantitative correlational method was used, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who follow the Instagram account. Simple random sampling was applied to select participants. Descriptive analysis shows that all indicators fall within the “excellent” category. Results from the Pearson Product–Moment correlation test reveal a strong negative correlation between Instagram content and library anxiety, with a correlation coefficient of –0.706, indicating that more positive engagement with the account is associated with lower levels of library anxiety. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination shows that 49.9% of the variance in library anxiety levels can be explained by the content of the @balaiyanpus.dpaddiy Instagram account. These findings suggest that informative and supportive social media content can play a significant role in reducing library anxiety among users.

Abstract

Purpose. This study aims to determine the extent of the relationship between undergraduate students’ preferences and user engagement on the Instagram account @perpus.undip of Diponegoro University Library. Methodology. This research employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis with the help of SPSS version 26. Results and discussion. The findings indicate a moderate positive correlation between undergraduate students’ preferences and user engagement on the @perpus.undip Instagram account, with a correlation coefficient of 0.623. This suggests that students’ preferences are generally aligned with the engagement strategies employed on the library’s social media, although several aspects still require improvement to enhance overall user interaction. Conclusions. The study concludes that there is a positive and consistent relationship between library users’ preferences and user engagement on Diponegoro University Library’s Instagram account (@perpus.undip), as evidenced by a correlation coefficient of 0.623.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pemanfaatan sosial media utamanya pada akun Instagram @abouttng terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi masyarakat digital. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana korelasi antara pemanfaatan akun Instagram @abouttng terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi masyarakat digital. Teori yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan akun Instagram adalah teori Uses and Gratification 2.0 yang dirumuskan oleh Sundar & Limperos (2013) yaitu Modality, Agency, Interactivity, dan Navigability. Kemudian teori yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan informasi adalah lima indikator kebutuhan informasi oleh Katz, Haas, dan Gurevitch, yaitu kebutuhan kognitif, kebutuhan afektif, kebutuhan integrasi pribadi, kebutuhan integrasi sosial, dan kebutuhan pelarian. Kuantitatif korelasional adalah metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah tidak diketahui pasti jumlahnya dengan sampel sebanyak 97 responden yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling diperoleh menggunakan rumus Lemeshow. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,693, dengan nilai positif, dan memiliki tingkat hubungan yang kuat antara variabel pemanfaatan akun Instagram @abouttng (X) terhadap variabel pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi masyarakat digital (Y). Melalui uji hipotesis didapatkan hasil nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 (lebih kecil daripada 0,05) dan thitung 9,376 > ttabel 1,661 maka dapat dikatakan bahwa H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dari uji hipotesis ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif serta signifikan antara pemanfaatan akun Instagram @abouttng terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi masyarakat digital.

Abstract

A digital library signifies the rapid development of technology in the library field. With the existence of a digital library, patrons are facilitated in accessing library services without the need to physically visit the library building. The ease of obtaining credible information is a advantage of digital libraries. This necessitates digital libraries to have a good level of usability so that users can satisfactorily utilize the digital library. The aim of this research is to determine the level of usability on the Digital Library of Diponegoro University. This research employs a quantitative research method with a descriptive statistical approach. Data collection techniques are conducted through questionnaires and literature study. Respondent selection in this research uses purposive sampling technique. The respondents in this study amounted to 40 (forty) individuals, consisting of lecturers, educational staff, and active students at Diponegoro University. Data analysis is conducted through several stages as outlined: tabulation, calculation of averages, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the level of success in usability performance on the Digital Library of Diponegoro University can be considered successful. This is demonstrated by all the indicators that measure the usability level on the Digital Library of Diponegoro University, showing a range of average scores for each indicator, all of which are high, ranging from 2.69 to 3.06. The highest average score is obtained by the learnability indicator, which is 3.06, while the lowest average score is obtained by the errors indicator, which is 2.69.

Abstract

This research background is the persistent lack of appropriate cultural documentation activities. Most documentation of existing culture is generally only recorded in one direction. This causes the knowledge that exists in a culture to not be channeled effectively. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to document the Denok Deblong Folk Dance at Sanggar Greget Semarang through short videos. The aim of this research is to document the Denok Deblong Folk Dance at Sanggar Greget Semarang through short videos. The research method used is research & development (R&D). Data analysis was conducted using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study's results reveal that the Denok Deblong Dance documentation process involves multiple stages. First, analyse the requirements for making a short video. Second, preparing the script and other technical aspects for production. Third, developing the design of the short video that has been created. The fourth step involves the production of the short video. The fifth step involves evaluating the project using expert judgement. The involvement of expert judgement at the end of the short video production is a new approach in local cultural documentation videos, aimed at quality control and reinforcing the credibility of the information regarding the produced documentation. This sequence of stages produces a workflow to create Denok Deblong Dance documentation that is relevant and suitable for the library.

Abstract

The background of this research is the changing role of librarians because information needs are easily met in a digital world. This causes librarians to lose their primary identity and professional values. But one of the video games in the genre of adventure, fantasy, and RPG, Genshin Impact, has a library character in it. The problem with this study is to find out how expectations Babufess! members regarding the value of library character professionalism in the content of the game Genshin Impact. The aim of this research is to know the expectations of Babufess! members concerning the professionalism of the character of the library in the contents of Genshin Impact games when compared to the libraries in the real world. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include observations, document studies, and in-depth interviews. Determination of informants using purposive sampling techniques with seven informants integrated into the Babufess! community. The results of this study showed that the library characters in the Genshin Impact game can be identified as librarians when viewed by their appearance; librarian characters are reliable and skillful in performing their work especially in the search for information; libraries are communicative and responsive when the publisher asks for help in searching information; library character can be polite when the librarian also values the character of a librarian; and then librarian character can show his empathy when he sees libraries having difficulty in finding information. The library characters in the game Genshin Impact are also capable of displaying various roles of the library profession that are not highlighted by the general public.

Abstract

[Title: a Portrait of User Education During The Covid-19 Pandemic: A Case Study Of Technical Executive Unit Library and Press Universitas Diponegoro] The background of this research is that sometimes there are students who know where to find the right reference for their assignment, and there are students who have problems finding references. Therefore, the Technical Executive Unit Library and Press Universitas Diponegoro organized a "Library Tour" user education program. The library tour aims to provide library systematics education to new students of Universitas Diponegoro every new academic year. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the library tour has been held through webinars. This study aimed to determine the implementation of user education at the Technical Executive Unit Library and Press Universitas Diponegoro during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is qualitative with Miles and Huberman analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Observation, interviews, and documentation studies carry out data collection techniques. The selection of informants is carried out. The selection of informants is carried out by purposive sampling. The result of this research is that the implementation of user education at the Technical Executive Unit Library and Press Universitas Diponegoro during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out using online webinars. This webinar was conducted to deliver material about the services provided by the Technical Executive Unit Library and Press Universitas Diponegoro and introduce the library as a whole. The webinar was conducted using Zoom Meeting as a media library tour, and the entire seminar was conducted as a webinar using a lecture method. The advantage of the webinar library tour is that it is effective and flexible, while the disadvantage is that there is limited interaction. Regarding its effectiveness, library tour webinars that use the lecture method are quite effective because students get theories from the library about various important information and knowledge such as that reservoir services and reference services can only be read on the spot and cannot be borrowed. Webinar material can be said to be representative and useful because students use the material introduced during the webinar in their daily lives.
