Abstract

Covid-19 is a new type of virus that easily spreads to humans and causes serious infections such as pneumonia. In Indonesia, the PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restriction) was implemented as an effort to suppress the spread of the corona virus. All activities outside the home are stopped or reduced until the pandemic has subsided. Some regions have implemented government policies to dismiss their students and begin the application of learning methods using an online or online system. Methods: The design of this study used a quasy experiment with a pre-post group design approach without control group design. A sample of 19 respondents was given material about the definition of covid-19, prevention of covid-19. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data collection method used a questionnaire in the form of google form given to respondents before treatment and after treatment. Data analysis was divided into 2, namely univariate and bivariate. Univariate in the form of frequency distribution to measure the characteristics of respondents, namely age, parent's occupation, and bivariate using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test aimed at distinguishing attitudes before and after treatment. Results: The Wilcoxon test proved that there was a difference between before and after treatment, namely α (0.05) ˃ 0.001. Discussion: Communication with social media via the internet (whatsapps) affected the attitudes of respondents in preventing covid-19 transmission and increase information and understanding for respondents.

Abstract

Stunting become a serious problem in Indonesia because it was associated with increased risk of morbidity and mortality, suboptimal brain development that delayed motor development and mental retardation. In fulfillment of family nutrition required a good knowledge about balanced nutrition. This study was an observational study with case control study design, The sampling technique used purposive sampling so that the respondents obtained were 30 toddlers at 4 posyandu. Analysis of the data used for bivariate frequency distribution, while multivariate logistic regression. Result: Obtained a significant relationship with the incidence of stunting, namely the mother's education level (ρ: 0.03; 0.621), family economy (ρ: 0.03; OR: 0.158), mother's height (ρ: 0.01: OR: 12.045), while the sex of children under five did not have a significant relationship with the incidence of stunting, namely ρ: 0.11> α0.05. The incidence of stunting in children aged 1-2 years is influenced by the mother’s education, height of parents especially mother’s, and family economic status. Mothers must know about types of food that have high nutritional value at low prices so that the nutritional adequacy of the family is fulfilled.

Abstract

The process of limestone mining will resulted in limestone dust on the working environment. This can lead to inhalation of the limestone dust which can cause respiratory problems. The type of the research was analytic with Cross Sectional design. The population was all workers in Bukit Kapur Jaddih, Parseh Village, Socah District; 52 workers. The sample was 45 workers taken by simple random sampling technique. The independent variable was compliance to use mask protective equipment, while the dependent variable was respiratory disorders. The data was collected by questionnaires and observation physical observation.  The data was analyzed using Lambda test, with α= 0.05.The results of the research showed that workers who did not use PPE (masks) were 35 workers (77.8%), who experienced respiratory problems were  39 workers (86.7%), and 6 workers (13.3%) did not experience respiratory problems. The lambda test results p Value of 0.073>α (0.05) meant that H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected. The compliance to use personal protective equipment (masks) and the presence of respiratory problems showed no correlation. For this reason, workers must continue to use masks while working to protect themselves from the effects of occupational breathing (lime dust).

Abstract

Chronic hyperglycemia in clients with diabetes mellitus will cause long-term damage, namely dysfunction or failure of organs such as eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart and blood vessels. Therefore, reflexology on the soles of the feet is become one of the complementary therapies that has no side effects. The research design used pre-experimental approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis was divided into two, namely univariate analysis by frequency distribution and bivariate analysis by paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in the points of before and after treatment as much as 36.15 points. There was an effect between reflexology treatment before and after as much as 0.0001 < 0.05. Reflexology could respond the hypothalamus, activated the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal AXIS, and produced corticotropin releasing factor (CRF) hormone which stimulated the pancreas to increase insulin synthesis. One of the receptors on target cells, namely the glucose transporter (GLUT 4) which functioned to bring glucose into cells and accelerated the use of glucose which resulted in lower blood glucose levels. Reflexology can be done by oneself and has no side effects.

Abstract

Early marriage among young women will cause reproductive health problems, namely unpreparedness of the reproductive organs, unwanted pregnancies, unsafe abortion practices, and even young women who have narrow hips, which will hinder the birthing process and can even cause the death of the mother and child. To prevent early marriage, PIK-R is needed. The education provided in PIK-R is about the 8 functions of the family, the KRR Triad (Adolescent Reproductive Health), education on Marriage Age Maturation (PUP) and Delaying First Children (PAP), as well as providing an understanding of the role of teenagers in social life. This research used a Pre-Experimental research design with a one group pre-post test approach. The total population is 33 children. The sample in this study was 30 respondents used the Slovin formula. Result was increase in the mean between before and after of 1.5 points, meaning there was a tendency for good attitudes after treatment, method of providing education using FGD. It is known that the 2-tailed significant value is 0.0001 < α 0.05, so there is a difference between before and after treatment. The FGD method applied by PIK-R cadres can be an efficient health education approach for teenagers to prevent increasing cases of early marriage. Discussions among teenagers and by teenagers are more open and will produce active communication among teenagers.
