Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) are activities that ensure the creation of safe working conditions, avoiding physical and mental disorders. The aim of this research is to determine the risk of severity of welding workers who do not use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This research uses 2 methods, the fishbone diagram method and job safety analysis. The survey technique was carried out by taking a sample of 15 welding worker respondents in the company. The results of this research are that welding workers experience a very high level of risk to Occupational Health and Safety due to the lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used. So companies must provide, comply with and prioritize (K3) welding. The company must also facilitate and require all workers to use safety equipment such as welding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that meets the Indonesian National Standard (SNI).

Abstract

PT. ABC is a company engaged in milling wheat into the largest flour in Indonesia. Every day the company has to produce as much as 6.500 tons/day of wheat flour to meet consumer needs. Therefore, employees must be able to work quickly and productively. The company has 11 Mill AB employees, not including millers. Many employees experience complaints and even injuries when carrying out activities on the production floor, starting from the screeningman, rollman, and shiftman. Given these problems, researchers used the Nordic Body Map Questionnaire in collecting primary data. Mill AB's employees have the most complaints about their backs because when working, employees often slouch. Furthermore, the data was processed using the OWAS method approach where the most complaints were in category 2, namely this attitude has the potential to cause damage to the musculoskeletal system. However, there is also a work attitude that is in category 3 where this attitude is also dangerous for musculoskeletal system disorders so work postures result in a very significant effect of tension.

Abstract

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting the national economy, particularly in job creation and strengthening regional economies. One MSME center that contributes significantly is the sandal MSME in Wedoro Village, Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, which has developed as a cottage industry for generations. However, in recent years, this MSME has faced challenges in the form of increased product competition, shifts in consumer behavior toward digital, and market demands for environmentally friendly products. This has led some MSMEs to persist with conventional marketing and not optimally utilize digital potential. This research aims to formulate a strategy to increase the competitiveness of the sandal MSME in Wedoro Village through an integrated, data-driven green digital marketing approach. The case study for this research was conducted on the Odiva MSME owned by Ms. Yuni, as a representative MSME that still survives with stable production capacity but faces limitations in digital marketing. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method to compare the environmental impacts of products and packaging. This was followed by a SWOT analysis to identify internal and external factors. These factors were then objectively prioritized using the QSPM to determine the best strategy based on relative attractiveness. The targeted outputs of this research include the development of alternative strategies to increase the competitiveness of sandal MSMEs based on green digital marketing, the creation of an official website as a medium for sustainable digital promotion and branding, and the publication of scientific articles in accredited national journals. The research findings are expected to provide practical contributions to partner MSMEs in Wedoro Village in expanding their market reach, enhancing the image of environmentally friendly products, and supporting business sustainability.

Abstract

The research object is the ice cream production process at PT Sejuk Abadi Nusantara, using production and quality-control records from January to June 2024. From 29,530 produced units, 630 defective units were identified, representing a defect rate of 2.13%. Pareto analysis indicated four vital few defects contributing 79.21% of total defects: non-uniform texture, excessive moisture content, uneven color, and non-standard portion size. A 5M1E Fishbone Diagram and 5-Why verification showed that dominant root causes were associated with machine, method, measurement, and human factors, especially freezer-temperature sensor drift, worn freezer gaskets, inconsistent hardening time, weak mixing standard operating procedures, and insufficient operator training. A corrective and preventive action plan was proposed, covering sensor calibration, freezer maintenance, hardening standardization, visual work instructions, operator training, moisture testing, environmental monitoring, and monthly calibration. The proposed actions are projected to reduce total defects from 630 to 222 units per semester, or 64.8%. The study demonstrates how integrated Pareto-Fishbone analysis can transform quality-control records into operational process-improvement decisions for frozen-food manufacturing.
