Abstract

This research investigates the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption, demand prediction, and production planning on operational efficiency within the textile industry in Jakarta. A quantitative approach, employing surveys and statistical analysis, was undertaken with a diverse sample of 150 participants representing various company sizes and industry tenures. The study reveals a moderate level of AI adoption, with machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics being prevalent. While perceived benefits include improved production efficiency and enhanced quality control, challenges such as initial investment costs and the need for skilled personnel underscore the nuanced landscape of AI integration. The effectiveness of demand prediction is moderate, with traditional methods prevailing but advanced analytics demonstrating higher efficacy. Production planning strategies exhibit a positive correlation with Industry 4.0 principles, showcasing their role in enhancing operational efficiency. Participants perceive operational efficiency positively, with significant correlations identified between AI adoption, demand prediction, production planning, and perceived efficiency. Key factors contributing to operational efficiency include streamlined processes, effective resource utilization, and adaptive production planning. The findings provide actionable insights for industry stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to technology adoption and strategic planning.

Abstract

Pengelasan merupakan metode penyambungan benda logam pada elemen mesin dalam suatu konstruksi mesin. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatan keterampilan dan skill pada pemuda karang taruna Dusun Sarirejo tentang pengelasan Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) supaya mampu bersaing dalam dunia industri yang dibutuhkan perusahaan saat ini ataupun digunakan dalam usaha wiraswasta. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah konsep pertemuan yang diadakan secara langsung dengan pemuda karang taruna dalam peningkatan skill pengelasan Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) pada besi, kedua cara penggunaan alat dan ketiga praktek penggunaan mesin las. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengabdian ini yaitu pelatihan skill pengelasan sangat bermanfaat bagi peserta karang taruna Dusun Sarirejo karena mampu menggunakan las Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) seperti memasang kawat las, mengatur tegangan amper las, dan menyalakan elektoda las, serta dapat menambah pengetahuan cara pengelasan yang sesuai Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) yang nantinya sebagai bekal keterampilan untuk bekerja di perusahaan ataupun dalam usaha mandiri.

Abstract

This study investigates the complex dynamics of creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia by examining the influence of CEO social capital, marketing capability, and financial capability on business performance. It also explores business performance implications for the sustainable business practices of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. A quantitative approach was used, incorporating quantitative data collected through offline and online surveys of 504 samples. Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) 4 was used for data analysis. This study supported the hypothesis that CEO social capital, marketing, and financial capability significantly influence business performance. In addition, strong evidence was found for a positive relationship between business performance and sustainable business practices and the influence of sustainable business practices on the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This study underscores the multifaceted nature of entrepreneurship in Indonesia, where CEO social capital, effective marketing strategies, financial stability, and sustainable business practices are interconnected elements that contribute to firm success and the overall vitality of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. These findings have implications for policymakers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders who want to encourage entrepreneurship, support MSMEs, and strengthen Indonesia's entrepreneurial ecosystem for sustainable economic growth and development.

Abstract

XYZ is one of the industries engaged in the fabrication sector. The workplace is not too large, making the production area full of machines and piles of equipment so that it can cause danger to workers and the company. This study aims to ensure that all workers at PT. XYZ know the procedures for using hand grinders properly and correctly, and comply with all regulations when using work tools. This study uses the HIRARC method to identify the problems experienced. Based on the results of the analysis of the study referring to the occupational safety and health (K3) of hand grinders in the fabrication industry at PT. XYZ shows that there are still many activities that can pose dangerous risks. The solution is to redesign K3 management at PT. XYZ by conducting socialization of the dangers of work accidents and conducting direct and continuous supervision of workers about the importance of using personal protective equipment. So that in the future it is expected to increase productivity in the fabrication industry at PT. XYZ.

Abstract

This research methodology outlines the systematic approach to conducting a bibliometric analysis on the integration of Total Quality Management (TQM) in business practice. TQM is a widely studied and implemented management philosophy aimed at improving organizational processes and enhancing overall performance. Through bibliometric analysis, this study seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the existing literature landscape, key research trends, influential authors, and thematic clusters related to TQM integration in business practice. The methodology covers the selection of databases, search strategy formulation, inclusion and exclusion criteria, data extraction, analysis techniques, and interpretation methods. By employing rigorous bibliometric techniques, this research aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of TQM and its practical implications for businesses.

Abstract

Olahan ikan asin adalah makanan khas Indonesia dengan cara mengawetkan ikan dengan penaburan garam, selain menjadikan ikan lebih tahan lama ikan asin juga memiliki cita rasanya tersendiri. Pengolahan ikan asin juga memiliki berbagai macam faktor, mulai dari cuaca, metode pengolahan, dan material yang digunakan. Penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Metode Taguchi untuk mengoptimalkan pengolahan ikan asin menjadi maksimal. Didapatkan hasil setelah melakukan perbaikan kualitas menggunakan Metode Taguchi pembuautan ikan asin teri jengki mengalami penurunan cacat/rusak pada ikan asin yang awalnya ± 10% atau ± 3 kg kerusakan dari ±30 kg %, menurun menjadi ±2,63% atau 7,8 ons dari ± 30kg%.

Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah industri telah menjadi perhatian utama di era Society 5.0, dimana integrasi teknologi ke dalam masyarakat memerlukan evaluasi ulang terhadap praktik rekayasa limbah. Artikel yang komprehensif ini mengeksplorasi bidang rekayasa limbah industri yang terus berkembang, mengkaji teknologi inovatif, tantangan, dan praktik berkelanjutan yang menentukan titik temu antara industri dan masyarakat di dalam Society 5.0. Limbah atau sampah telah menjadi masalah bagi manusia sejak jaman nenek moyang kita. Seiring bertambahnya populasi manusia, jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan juga meningkat. Selama Abad Pertengahan, penyakit seperti kolera dan demam tifoid merebak di seluruh Eropa, yang merupakan akibat langsung dari kondisi tidak sehat yang disebabkan oleh kotoran manusia, hewan, dan sampah. Salah satu peraturan paling awal mengenai pengelolaan sampah sudah ada sejak sekitar 500 SM di kota Athena, Yunani, dimana penduduknya dilarang membuang sampah di jalan. Pada abad ke-19, "Era Sanitasi" dimulai, dan sebuah laporan di Inggris mengaitkan penyakit dengan kondisi lingkungan, yang mengarah pada pengembangan peraturan dan perbaikan praktik pengelolaan sampah. Abad ke-20 mulai muncul unit pengolahan limbah sebagai solusi terhadap meningkatnya masalah limbah industri.

Abstract

Permasalahan transportasi dialami kota besar ke dua di Indonesia yaitu Surabaya dan merupakan ibukota dari provinsi Jawa Timur. Semakin tinggi jumlah penduduk dan rutinitas yang di jalani di kota ini, dimulai dari aktivitas pagi hari hingga petang menyebabkan lalu lintas dan arus mobilitas di kota ini semakin padat. Surabaya memiliki luas sekitar 333,063 km² dengan dengan penduduk berjumlah 2.987.863 jiwa pada tahun 2023. Dimulai tahun 2014, pemerintah Surabaya melakukan pelebaran jalan raya di beberapa pusat wilayah. Sayangnya kebijakan tersebut tidak dibarengi dengan pengadaan transportasi publik massal dalam jangka panjang yang ramah lingkungan. Kemacetan merupakan gambaran nyata yang tidak terlepas dari Kota Surabaya. Banyak kendaraan pribadi yang tersedat bahkan beberapa transportasi publik yang mengangkut penumpang melebihi batas yang telah ditentukan. Pola konsumtif masyarakat di kota besar yang tinggi, berlomba – lomba untuk memiliki kendaraan pribadi daripada menggunakan transportasi publik merupakan penyebab utama permasalahan ini. Masyarakat beranggapan bahwa transportasi publik yang ada saat ini tidak aman, nyaman, cepat, dan murah. Selain itu, dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan dari bertambahnya volume kendaraan yaitu polusi udara dan polusi suara. Polusi udara diperkirakan telah menyebabkan 1,300 kematian dan merugikan sekitar $350,000,000 USD di Kota Surabaya pada tahun 2024. Untuk itu dibutuhkan penanganan lebih lanjut untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, alternatif pengadaan transportasi publik Pemerintah Kota Surabaya berencana untuk menggunakan Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) yang dipilih adalah trem dan monorel.
