Abstract

The study of meaning concerns the two branches of oral and written communication systems. Through the study of denotative and connotative meanings to understand someone's utterances. This study aims to provide a broader understanding of the urgency of modification. According to narration through understanding connotative and denotative meanings. This study uses a qualitative descriptive system. Implicitly, denotative-connotative substances give rise to purposes that are not always the same. Although they are types of the same word or referred to by a similarity, they have different meanings. This difference in meaning can then be translated based on connotative and denotative meanings through the three videos used in the research. In datum one, what found it was found to use positive connotative meaning eight times, negative connotative meaning six times, and denotative meaning four times. In datum number two, ten words with positive connotations were found, and three denotative substances were used, but no negative connotations were found in the second datum. In the third datum, there are fifteen positive connotative meanings and two denotative usage words.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the importance of language development in early childhood, specifically focusing on the YouTube video "Kiki Miu-Miu" as a tool for learning and entertainment. The study utilized a qualitative methodology, involving two groups of families: 5 families with children aged 2-4 years, and 5 families with children aged 5-6 years. The findings revealed that videos containing appropriate educational content can contribute to improving children's language skills. However, the utilization of YouTube videos also brings potential challenges, such as fostering passive viewing habits, exposing children to inappropriate content, and limiting opportunities for social interaction. The involvement of parents or caregivers is therefore crucial in monitoring and limiting children's viewing time, as well as ensuring that the content chosen is appropriate for their age and stage of development.

Abstract

This research analyzes literacy development in children with hearing loss, focusing on the challenges faced and strategies used in the educational context. Literacy plays a vital role in learning and social integration, yet children with hearing loss may face barriers in developing these skills. Through interviews with notable education experts, parents and teachers, this study identifies specific literacy development patterns and uncovers the challenges faced. The results of this study are expected to provide a better understanding of literacy development in children with hearing loss and provide insights into the challenges and effective educational strategies. The implications of this study can contribute to the development of better inclusive curricula and the provision of appropriate support for children with hearing loss in developing their literacy skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan tinjauan komprehensif mengenai evolusi penelitian pendidikan selama dua dekade terakhir melalui analisis bibliometrik. Dengan memeriksa jumlah publikasi dan perkembangan topik di lapangan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tren yang muncul dan pergeseran fokus penelitian. Dengan menggunakan teknik bibliometrik, penelitian ini menyoroti tema-tema utama, penulis yang berpengaruh, dan tempat publikasi yang penting, memberikan wawasan yang berharga ke dalam lintasan penelitian pendidikan. Temuan-temuan ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang evolusi penelitian pendidikan dan menginformasikan arah penelitian di masa depan di bidang ini.

Abstract

The findings show that the students’ view on Jihad is not merely identical to fighting but also the application of Jihad, which varies. It has a wide spectrum as long as its purpose and still in the religious morality frame. Spreading Rahmatan (affection) concept and The word jihad, which mentioned in the Qur'an about 35 times, including its derivations, has often been understood only at the scriptural level, detached from its contexts. As a result, jihad has been assumed to be a specific act of violence, such as terrorism and radicalism. This article aims to explain the concept of jihad in Islam from the perspective of Indonesian Muslim students at Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia, and to explore the factors that influence their understanding of jihad. This study adopts a semantic approach to the teaching of jihad in the Qur'an, contextualizing it with the current situation. The findings show that the students' view of jihad is not limited to physical fighting, but also includes a wide range of other applications, as long as they are motivated by religious morality. The moral and spiritual values implicit in jihad include spreading the concept of rahmahan (affection) and promoting peace of life and spiritual values

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the flipped classroom-based SAVI learning model on children's problem-solving skills. This research is a type of meta-analysis research. The eligibility criteria in this study are: a) the research must be published in 2022-2024; b) this research was obtained through the Google Scholar database; Mendeley; ScienceDirect; and Wiley; c) the research must be relevant; d) the research must have complete data to calculate the effect size value; and the sample size 30 participants. The data in this meta-analysis is analyzed with the help of JASP and Microsoft Excel applications. The results of the analysis of 19 effect sizes concluded that the summary effect size value ( d = 1.077 ; z = 8.172 ; p 0.001) of the effect size category was strong. These findings show that the application of the effectiveness model of the flipped classroom-based SAVI learning model has a positive influence on children's problem-solving skills
