Abstract

The peak of vulnerability to behavioral and mental disorders occurs during college, making this a crucial time for development. College students have a worse quality of life (QoL) in terms of mental health compared to the general population. There is a need for information regarding QoL related to stress in students, as studies discussing QoL and stress in college students are still lacking. This study aims to analyze the relationship between QoL and stress levels in college students. A cross-sectional survey design was used in this study, involving 249 college students at higher education institutions in East Java, Indonesia. The data samples were collected based on demographic characteristics, using the QoL scale from WHOQOL-BREF and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 to assess the correlation between QoL and stress levels among college students. The results showed that the stress levels of college students were classified as normal (54.6%), mild (17.3%), moderate (17.3%), severe (8.4%), and extremely severe (2.4%). A significant negative correlation was observed between all domains of QoL and stress: Physical (-0.630), Psychological (-0.658), Social Relationship (-0.564), and Environment (-0.584). These results indicate that as QoL increases, stress scores decrease. Attention should be paid to providing appropriate interventions related to college students' quality of life. Further research is needed to gather detailed information on existing QoL domains, particularly those focusing on students’ needs, current information developments, and demographic characteristics.

Abstract

The return of medical records is the process of returning patient medical records to the medical records department after being used in healthcare services. In 2023, it was found that 42% of inpatient medical records were returned on time but were incomplete, while 32% were delayed for more than 2 x 24 hours. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between individual, organizational, and psychological factors of staff and the delay in returning inpatient medical records at Al Huda Hospital, Banyuwangi. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and observation. The population consisted of 101 staff responsible for returning inpatient medical records, with a sample of 80 staff members. This study uses an analytical quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach and chi-square test. Bivariate analysis results showed no relationship between individual factors (knowledge) and organizational factors (leadership). However, there was a significant relationship with psychological factors (attitude) with a Sig. value of 0.001. The researcher suggests that the hospital conduct regular evaluations and provide socialization to staff regarding the return of inpatient medical records and improve staff skills and knowledge on the medical record return procedure.

Abstract

Corona virus disease (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic in the world. Indonesia has declared this pandemic as a national disaster. Positive cases and deaths have increased every day. This was a long list of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on life. Several solutions have been designed to prevent the rapid transmission of this virus, one of them was by making sterilizer and hand sanitizer products. But there was still debate regarding the effectiveness of the use of UV rays and antiseptics as hygiene products offered. So we need a study to determine the effectiveness of UV exposure and the use of antiseptics to kill germs. This study used an experimental design, the sample used was in the form of folding money taken by the bacteria and grown on the media so that were classified into 3 groups, namely without treatment, 70% alcohol treatment and 10 seconds UV light treatment. The samples were analyzed using the dilution agar method and swab test with two repetitions. The results showed the average number of colony forming units (cfu) of bacteria using the dilution test method and swab test methode were 419 cfu on without treatment group; 4 cfu on alcohol 70% ; and 150 cfu on UV light (10 seconds). The alcohol 70% was more effective than 10 seconds UV light exposure to reduce the amount of bacterial cfu on folding money.
