Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is now frequently applied in education. This makes the learning process one of the activities that can empower digital literacy. The research aims to explore information about students' digital literacy levels based on their self-assessment and how the learning process can train the indicators on digital literacy to students. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. Using a purposive sampling technique, the sample for this research was 38 Tadris IPA students who had participated in lecture activities with digital learning substitution. The research instrument is a digital literacy level self-assessment questionnaire which refers to a global framework of reference on digital literacy skills which consists of 4 digital literacy sub-indices. The results showed that Tadris Physics students had a digital literacy index in the good category. This is supported by the implementation of lectures that provide opportunities for students to empower their digital literacy, such as the implementation of digital technology-based learning (use of LMS or blended learning), and an assignment system that requires students to think critically while searching for information independently through various digital platforms.

Abstract

The selection of extracurricular activities is an important element in developing students' character, interests, and potential outside of academic activities. However, this selection process is often not carried out systematically, so it risks not being in accordance with individual student preferences. This study aims to design an extracurricular recommendation model based on the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, one of the intelligent computing methods that is effective in finding optimal solutions. The model considers four main criteria, namely interests, talents, schedules, and student personalities, which are formulated into an objective function. The PSO algorithm is used to find the best combination of extracurricular activities for each individual based on predetermined preference weights. Testing using data from 50 students shows that the PSO algorithm is able to produce recommendations with the best fitness value that is stable at around 4.5 after the 40th iteration, indicating the algorithm's effectiveness in finding optimal solutions. Correlation analysis between variables shows a strong positive relationship between Interests and Talents (correlation coefficient approaching 0.75), while Personality and Schedule contribute unique information with a correlation below 0.2. The results of this study demonstrate that the PSO algorithm approach is proven to be an adaptive and efficient approach that can be used as an effective method to generate personalized and relevant extracurricular recommendations. It can also be used as a tool in decision-making in educational environments and increase student participation and potential development in a more targeted and optimal manner. The test results show that this model is able to provide more personalized and appropriate recommendations compared to conventional methods. Furthermore, the PSO algorithm provides a relatively fast convergence time with high decision accuracy.

Abstract

Pembelajaran online, istilah luas untuk menggambarkan pembelajaran yang difasilitasi oleh internet. Munculnya pandemic covid-19 di Indonesia yang sampai sekarang ini belum usai juga mengaruskan banyak mahasiswa yang melakukan pembelajaran secara online. Pembelajaran online ini juga menimbulkan masalah yang harus dihadapi oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tantangan yang di hadapi mahasiswa pada pembelajaran online di masa pandemic covid-19 saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa banyak masalah yang di hadapi mahasiswa ketika melakukan pembelajaran secara online. Diantaranya: kendala jaringan bagi mahasiswa yang berada di pelosok desa, menguras banyak paket internet, dan kurang efektifnya pembelajaran online ini sehingga mahasiswa diharuskan untuk mampu memahami materi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu Dinas Pariwisata Kota Dumai dalam melakukan digitalisasi laporan perizinan tempat wisata melalui pengembangan dan penerapan sistem informasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dipadukan dengan model pengembangan sistem waterfall, meliputi identifikasi masalah, perancangan sistem, pelatihan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari 10 aparatur Dinas Pariwisata. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem digital berhasil mempercepat proses perizinan dari 7–14 hari menjadi hanya 2–3 hari, meningkatkan akurasi melalui validasi otomatis, serta memperbaiki transparansi melalui akses data terintegrasi. Selain itu, aparatur dapat mengoperasikan aplikasi secara mandiri setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa digitalisasi laporan perizinan tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi, tetapi juga memperkuat inovasi layanan publik pada tingkat pemerintah daerah.

Abstract

This article examines the value of longing in the poems “Ilā Ummī” by Mahmud Darwish and “Ibu” by K.H. Mustofa Bisri through a comparative literature approach. The study aims to explain how longing is constructed differently in two cultural contexts, Arab-Palestinian and Indonesian. The method employed is qualitative with a close reading technique, grounded in Raymond Williams’s Cultural Materialism approach, which views literary works as cultural practices. The analysis focuses on longing as a value that shapes human relations with the self, with others, and with the origins of life. The findings show that in Darwish’s poetry, longing functions as a cultural response to experiences of alienation and loss, whereas in Gus Mus’s poetry, longing serves as an ethical reflection on sustained relationships. These findings confirm that longing is not merely a personal emotion, but a cultural value shaped by the social and historical conditions of the poet. This study contributes to comparative literature by positioning longing as an analytical category based on cultural context.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) menuntut guru untuk beradaptasi dan mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, masih banyak guru yang mengalami kendala dalam mendesain media ajar digital yang menarik dan relevan dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan TIK melalui pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis Canva. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di SMP Budi Dharma Dumai, Provinsi Riau, dan diikuti oleh 18 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan workshop partisipatif berbasis praktik langsung, yang meliputi penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik pembuatan media ajar, dan refleksi hasil karya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket pre-test dan post-test, serta penilaian produk media. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata pemahaman guru dari 68,3 menjadi 86,1, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,56 (kategori sedang menuju tinggi). Sebagian besar peserta aktif selama pelatihan dan mampu menghasilkan minimal satu produk media ajar berbasis Canva. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi digital, kreativitas, serta kepercayaan diri guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap penguatan budaya literasi digital di sekolah dan dapat dijadikan model pemberdayaan guru di era transformasi pendidikan digital.

Abstract

The research objective was to design an android-based rural information system at the Montasik Aceh Besar sub-district office, as a service in rural storage and services and it is hoped that it can be used as a reference for making a faster and more accurate android-based rural information system. The method used in designing an Android-based rural information system is using the waterfall method. The design results consist of service features for the community. services for making letters, searching for population data and village information by village officials, thereby increasing the work efficiency of village officials and village administration to become more orderly and regular. The Android-based rural information system for Montasik District is software that was built to help manage website and Android-based, with correspondence making services starting from requests for Family Cards, Resident Cards, Certificates of Inability, Death Certificate, Birth Certificate, Versatile Certificate, Transfer Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Business Certificate, and Certificate of Good Conduct, as well as information about the Village (vision and mission, Profile, History, Village Potential). Thus this system can be used as a tool to support the performance of village officials as well as a media for village promotion to make Montasik District Village an icon of a tourism village, especially in the Aceh Besar District area.

Abstract

Enhancing teacher work discipline is a fundamental aspect of realizing effective educational quality, where a leadership style such as Servant Leadership plays a vital role. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Servant Leadership by the school principal, the contribution of work discipline to teacher professionalism, the success factors, and the obstacles related to discipline policy at SMAN 3 Peusangan. The research employed a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. Data collection techniques involved structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the servant leadership of the SMAN 3 Peusangan Principal effectively enhances teacher work discipline through a humanistic approach centered on service and moral role modeling, rather than structural control. This leadership style fosters discipline stemming from teachers' intrinsic professional awareness and commitment. The strategy, which focuses on empathy, open communication, and leadership integrity, is proven to improve teacher professionalism, marked by increased responsibility, work ethics, and pedagogical performance. Despite its success, the implementation of Servant Leadership still faces significant challenges in the cultural dimension (a permissive culture and close social relationships hindering the firmness of sanctions) and the systemic dimension (limited digital facilities). This finding confirms that the success of discipline highly depends on the principal's role model and service, rather than mere regulations. The study concludes that the school principal needs to strengthen the consistency of justice and teacher participation to fully implement servant leadership and effectively overcome organizational culture barriers.

Abstract

This study aims to train critical thinking skills for early childhood through the application of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by learning tools that have been developed by the researchers themselves. Learning tools were developed based on guided inquiry. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with the type of development research. Critical thinking skills of early childhood are measured using an observation sheet instrument. The observation sheet is used to observe the critical thinking skills of early childhood during the teaching and learning process. Students' critical thinking skills can also be seen from the level of implementation of learning. The level of implementation of learning is 94% which shows the implementation of learning is very high. The collected data was then analyzed using SPSS software. The results of data analysis showed that the guided inquiry learning model was effectively used to train critical thinking skills of early childhood students. This is evidenced by the significance level of the variable of 0.000 or in other words P < 0.05. So it can be seen that there is a difference after being given the treatment of guided inquiry-based learning. So, the results of this study indicate that there is an increase in critical thinking skills of early childhood after treatment using the guided inquiry learning model, this is evidenced by the value of sig. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa usia dini. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan tingkat signifikansi dari variabel sebesar 0,000 atau dengan kata lain P< 0,05. Sehingga dapat dilihat bahwa ada perbedaan setelah diberi perlakuan pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Jadi, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis anak usia dini setelah melakukan treatmen menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai sig.
