Abstract

This study aims to describe and reveal the meaning of the figure of the Prophet Khidir as a repertoire in Kuntowijoyo's Wasripin dan Satinah novel in terms of Wolfgang Iser's Aesthetic Response theory. This study is qualitative descriptive, and the data source is the novel Wasripin dan Satinah published by Kompas Publisher in 2003. Using a note-taking technique of all novels related to the Prophet Khidir’s repertoire, it obtained the data. The technique was through 1) identification, 2) classification, 3) interpretation, and 4) inference. The results showed that 1) the figure of the Prophet Khidir in the novel Wasripin dan Satinah was an earlier reference in the text used by Kuntowijoyo as the basis or background for creating his novel. The transformed story of the Prophet Khidir in the Al-Qur'an has a different storyline. 1) In the Al-Qur'an, Prophet Khidir was approached by Prophet Musa to learn. Meanwhile, in the novel Wasripin and Satinah, the Prophet Khidir came to Wasripin to give his knowledge. 2) The novel Wasripin dan Satinah which represents the figure of Prophet Khidir, has given rise to myths in the lives of Javanese people. 3)  an intention conveyed by Kuntowijoyo in presenting the figure of the Prophet Khidir in his work, namely a lesson not to be shirk by glorifying or deifying someone who has superior abilities.

Abstract

This article aims to describe children's literature as a means of learning language skills for children. Children's literature is literature aimed at children. Children's literature is literature that reflects the feelings and experiences of children through children's views on topics that are close to the child's world, including humans, fauna, and flora. Through literature, a child indirectly learns language skills as well. Children's literature is also important because it teaches young learners a variety of lessons. It also gives them opportunities to engage with literature; teaches them an appreciation for their cultural heritage; fosters emotional intelligence and creativity; fosters the growth and development of the children’s personality and social skills; and conveys important literature from one generation to the next. Children's literature needs to be developed and taught from an early age so that young learners have good personalities and are knowledgeable. It can be a valuable resource, particularly in language teaching. Learning language skills is applied through the introduction of three literary genres, namely: 1) poetry in the form of children's songlines and children's rhymes; 2) prose in the form of fantasy fairy tales and folk tales; and 3) drama in the form of stories with simple dialogues.

Abstract

Film is the result of the culture of high-tech society that is presented through audio-visuals. many blockbusters whose screenplays are adaptations or inspirations from literary works. One example of the many literary works that have been multimediaized is the novel Di Bawah Lindungan Ka’ bah (DBLK). This study aims to describe the representation of women, love, and religion in Hamka's novel DBLK. in terms of literacy and orality both. The research data source is the novel DBLK by Hamka. The DBLK novel was first published by the publisher Bulan Bintang in 1938. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The method used is the method of listening, reading, recording and comparison. The results of the study show that 1) the media has made a diversion. The transfers made by the media in the DBLK novel into film form, namely the transfer of images of women, love, and religion. 2) There is an overlap between orality and literacy, namely the dialogues presented by the characters in the film are literacy from the novel. In visualizing the novel into a DBLK film as a second oral form, it still relies on the use of characters to refer to when (year) and where (place).

Abstract

This study is a qualitative descriptive and the data source is novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk written by Ahmad Tohari. It takes the 2009 edition published by PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama. The data were obtained thorough reading followed by taking notes of all novels related to the pop culture and feminism. The technique of analysis is done through 1) identification, 2) classification, 3) interpretation, and 4) inference. The results showed that Roggeng Dukuh Paruk entails : 1) control of men over women, namely control of women's productive power or labor, control of female reproduction, control over the determination of women's sexuality, and control of women's movements; 2) found depiction of female image, which Hollows calls a fake female image

Abstract

Keterampilan Berbahasa perlu diajarkan sejak dini bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Keterampilan berbahasa perlu diajarkan bagi siswa SD kelas rendah dan kelas tinggi, sesuai kebutuhan pengajaran di kelas. Pengajaran keterampilan berbahasa bagi siswa SD baik kelas rendah maupun kelas tinggi dapat dilakukan pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Dalam pembelajaran bahasa di sekolah dasar, adakalanya guru kurang memperhatikan pentingnya keterampiln berbahasa yang meliputi menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis.tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan desain model pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa bagi siswa SD se Kalimantan Utara,metoda/pendekatan dalam penelitian ini melaksanakan tahapan dari Miles dan Huberman dalam menganalisis data. dan hasil penelitian ini berupa penerapan model pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa (menyimak, berbicara, membacadan menulis) yang digunakan oleh sebagian besar guru SD di Kalimantan Utara masih konvensional (di dominasi oleh ceramah di kelas). Selain itu, penggunaan media pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya memadai dan maksimal. Demikian juga kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas berkaitan dengan keterampilan berbahasa yang dilakukan oleh guru belum memenuhi empat aspek keterampilan berbahasa yaitu berbicara, menyimak, membaca dan menulis. Rata-rata guru hanya sebatas menerapkan dua atau tiga aspek keterampilan berbahasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahasa seksualitas dalam Nayla Karya Djenar Maesa Ayu menggunakan teori stilistika. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Nayla karya Djenar Maesa Ayu yang diterbitkan tahun 2005 oleh PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Gambaran angan-angan yang dominan terhadap Nayla yakni citraan penglihatan, citraan gerak, citraan pendengaran, dan citraan intelektual. Keseluruhan citraan ini sengaja dihadirkan untuk memberikan kejernihan penceritaan dan maksud yang akan di sampaikan kepada pembaca dan 2) pemajasan yang dominan terdapat dalam novel Nayla, yaitu penggunaan bahasa perbandingan (simile) dan pengulangan (repetisi).Kata kunci : bahasa seksualitas, nayla, stilistika

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeksripsikan struktur dan fungsi cerita rakyat Siengkang. Cerita rakyat ini menceritakan tentang seorang putri yang Bernama We Tadampalik di Kabupaten Wajo. Salah satu sastra lisan masyarakat Bugis Wajo Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan itu adalah Siengkang. Cerita rakyat Siengkang diawali dengan bersatunya putri We Tadampalik, anak Datu Luwu dengan putra dari Arung Palakka Bone sehingga disebut dengan Siengkang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur dan fungsi cerita tersebut bagi masyarakat Wajo melalui tahapan pengamatan, wawancara, rekam dan catat, dan analisis data melalui tahap identifikasi data, klasifikasi, dan deskripsi. Data berupa teks dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori struktural Levi-Strauss dengan fokus penelitian struktur dan fungsi sosial sastra lisan cerita rakyat Siengkang. Adapun hasil dalam penelitian ini terkait dengan struktur yang meliputi motif, alur, latar, tokoh, dan penokohan, dan tema menggambarkan suatu keterkaitan yang saling berkesinambungan dan terdapat keterkaitan filosofi dan petuah-petuah suku Bugis dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Adapun fungsi sosial sastra lisan tak terlepas dari kehidupan masyarakat Bugis Wajo berupa petuah-petuah dan nilai lokal-lokal tetap lestari di tengah masyarakat Bugis sebagai hiburan dan Pendidikan.
