Abstract

BSTRACT In 404 Hijri / 1014 C, Andalusia of Cordoba su ered chaotic situations not only in politics but also in other segments of life, especially in sex. Free sex ourished and remained arguable. Based on the situation above, Prince Ubaidillah bin Abdurrachman bin al- Mughirah bin Amirul-Mu’minin An-Nashir, the grandson of Khalifah An-Nashir, asked Ibnu Chazm Al-Andalusia to write a love story with its complexity in a book. This research elaborates the genetic process of the text “Thauqul- Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf” that is considered a great work by either Arabians or non-Arabians. This work is also considered to be the rst work elaborating love and its complexity as its theme. Furthermore, this research disscusses the view of Ibnu Chazm Al-Andalusy about the concept of love (al-chubbun-nazhary) written in the text. The research adopts genetic structuralism theory with its emphasis on literary text (intrinsic analysis), socio cultural background (historic social reality observation), and the writer. The method is dialectic method, mutual relations between structures of a literary work (the intrinsic features of “Thauqul- Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”), historic materialism (socio cultural background of Andalusia at the time the work was written), and the writer of “Thauqul- Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. Therefore, the “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal- Ullāf” analysis techniques can be done in three ways: (1) revealing one of the text “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf” structures by its love concept theme to build up the text and understand the whole structures, (2) revealing socio cultural backgroung of Andalusian people at the time Ibnu Chazm lived and was raised, and (3) revealing the writer’s social groups and their visions by their hipogram and transformation works. This Ibnu Chazm’s vision eventually becomes the embrio of the text “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. The result of the analysis concluded by revealing the issue described in the second and third ways can be used to understand the concept of love in the text “Thauqul-Chamāmah l-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. Eventually this research reveals that Ibnu Chazm’s direct observation to the people of Andalusia where he lived and was raised initiated the genetic process of the text. He formulated what he gained from his observation to be his vision. This vision became the base of “Thauqul-Chamāmah Fil-Ilfah wal-Ullāf”. The conclusion of the research is that according to Ibnu Chazm, most people relate loves to syahwat, free sex, porns, and things like that. However, hesees talking about love as expressing one’s tender feeling from the bottom of his heart to nd the truth of love but not to do disgrace and not to do something forbidden by the syariah because love exists in one’s heart and soul. Meanwhile, Allah SWT holds his heart. Love is about heart and heart belongs to Allah SWT. Therefore, according to Ibnu Chazm, the concept of love must be based on syariah. In another word, the theory of love, the cause of love, expressing love, mantaining love, meeting and “leaving” the one we love must be based on Al Quran and Hadits. Abstract

Manâzilus-Sâ`irîn ilâ al-Haqqil-Mubîn is a literary work of tasawuf which contains 100 steps of climbing to the pleasure of Allah which must be passed by man to seek His pleasure. The 100 maqâmât is divided into ten levels, each level there are ten maqam, and each maqam has their own meanings and functions. For the purposes of this study, only 20 ladders were studied due to space and time constraints. The problem in this research is how the researchers interpret and analyze the 20 steps of climbing based on the perspective of Sufism. The theory used in this research is the Islamic literary theory Taufiq Al-Hakim model that says that Islamic literature comes from Allah, dimension of worship, and mission of Islamic da'wah. Islamic literature comes from God because God is the source of all sources. The method of analysis used in this research is tasawuf method and moral method. The tasawuf method is directed at how the reader expresses the elements of the formal object contained in material objects to hone and educate the human soul and heart in worshiping God and in associating with fellow human beings. The moral method is oriented on how literature regulates human experience and assesses the extent to which experience affects its activities, namely the literary activity that produces Islamic literary works containing contents of Sufism that are suitable for the guidance of human life. The superiority of this book is also seen in the unique writing techniques because the author is able to integrate the verses of the Qur'an with his imagination so that this book of tasawuf looks strong from the way of processing the substance and from the side of the moral message. Thus, the teachings of Sufism in this book become more practical and easier to understand by the reader

Abstract

This article on the method of prophetic education in the Qur'an shows that the methods of prophetic education in the verses of Ibrahim's story are intuitive methods, rational methods, exemplary methods, phasing methods (stages of recitations, ta'lim stages, tazkiyyah stages, and wisdom stage), dialogical method, method of ibrah, mau'izah, advice, method of demonstration, method of punishment and reward, method of prayer, assignment method, and wasiat method. All of the educational methods found in the verses of Prophet Ibrahim's story are relevant to current Islamic education.

Abstract

Over the past two decades, the trend of fatwa requests has increased. Fatwas issued by certain individuals or organizations are used as references in daily life. Likewise in Indonesia through the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) where the desire for asking fatwas is almost the same as the desire for implementing the fatwa itself. Including fatwas related to religious sects such as Ahmadiyya which are often become victims of discrimination and assault. Studies of this research focuses on texts fatwa issued by MUI on Ahmadiyya sect in 1980 and 2005. This study departs from the claims of some researchers who think that the fatwa had a strong correlation with actions and violent behavior that befell the Ahmadiyya Community. Use an anthropological linguistic approach, this study show Jemaah Ahmadiyya considers that fatwas are opinion. As usual opinion, he must be respected. Disagreement with an opinion is common. Because opinions are not binding. Such a pedestal of thinking simultaneously raises attitudes and responses that tend to appear to 'accept what we are'. However, if examined more closely, there are a number of efforts which although they are 'sporadic' and are not interpreted as a specific strategy to counter the actual heretical labelling efforts carried out by the Jemaah Ahmadiyya.

Abstract

The book of Durrat al-Nâshihîn by Uthman bin Hasan bin Ahmad al-Syakir Al-Khaubawy is a very popular and controversial book. This book is considered important in the educational discipline because it contains educational materials and methods that may still be relevant to current contemporary Islamic educational practices. Although the book was written hundreds of years ago, the significance of the materials and methods on how the materials are poured or presented is believed to be relevant. The results of this study indicate that the Book of Durrat al-Nâshihîn contains 75 pieces of discussion material topics, including repeated discussions. Of the 75 topics, the discussion can be grouped into three educational materials, namely education of faith, religious education, and moral education. The content of aqidah education is more directed towards the education of beliefs and beliefs, especially those related to the shahada, the prophet of the Prophet, the belief in life after death, the end of the world with the awesomeness, the human deeds, and the belief in heaven and hell as a reward for those who do good or bad. The subject of worship education leads more to the education of servant devotion to God through religious practices that aim to always remember Him. These religious education materials include the fadhilah of fasting and the month of Ramadan, praying, dhikr, reading the Qur'an, patience, and other deeds. The material content of the moral education field is more directed to the problem of relationships among people in social life, which includes the virtue of friends, help-help, slander prohibition, ghibah, drinking, prohibition on actions that can damage the brotherhood, and what should be done and what everyone needs to shun.

Abstract

The problems examined in this study are: What are the doctrines of the kiai in Baitul Hikmah Haurkuning Islamic Boarding School Tasikmalaya ?; what is the perception of pesantren residents towards the kiai doctrine at Baitul Hikmah Haurkuning Islamic Boarding School Tasikmalaya ?; and how is the internalization of the kiai's doctrine at Baitul Hikmah Haurkuning Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya? The research method used is descriptive analytic method with qualitative type. The data collection techniques that will be used in this study are: observation techniques, interview techniques, documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study are: data reduction, data display, data verification or drawing conclusions. After carrying out research, the authors reach the following conclusions: 1) The doctrine of the kiai in the Baitul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School Haurkuning Tasikmalaya included in the boarding school curriculum. 2) Perceptions of pesantren residents to the kiai doctrine in the Baitul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya, there are positive and negative perceptions, depending on their understanding against the doctrine itself. 3) Internalization of the doctrine of the kiai in the Baitul Hikmah Haurkuning Tasikmalaya boarding school is carried out in the administration of education in the boarding school realized in the learning system in the Baitul Hikmah Haurkuning Tasikmalaya boarding school.

Abstract

This article discusses Indonesian democracy, the existence and development of social media, and the importance of prophetic ethics for all Indonesians. The results of the study confirm that ideal Indonesian democracy can only be realized if every citizen is aware of the roles, responsibilities, and rights and obligations. The effort to realize the ideal of Indonesian democracy will also be largely determined by the ability of the Indonesian people to manage one of the biggest challenges of democracy today, namely the massive and widespread presence and development of social media. The use of social media to play an effective role in building ideal Indonesian democracy needs to be accompanied by prophetic ethical values that are believed to be able to fortify its users from destructive, provocative, manipulative and destructive attitudes and behaviors.

Abstract

This article is a qualitative research explained by descriptive-inferential method and analyzed by method of hermeneutics of Hans George Gadamer. Nurcholish Madjid (1939-2005) had more thorough idea about the objective of Islamic education. The ultimate goal of human life is ‘abd and khalîfah. God gives emotions and fit}rah to achieve it. Emotion, lead by knowledge, will bring human to the goodness or badness. ‘Abd and khalîfah has manifested in good worshiping and good in social life.

Abstract

This study seeks to elaborate on the position and function of women in the realm of Islamic education. This study uses the critical review method, a method used to interpret texts critically. The results of the study show that Muslim women in Indonesia are in fact part of Muslim women in other parts of the world. However, Indonesian Muslim women tend to have greater opportunities and chances in facing a bright future of education. Within Islamic education institutions, the viewpoint of women has shifted from a conservative view to a more egalitarian one. The oldest and largest Islamic education institution in Indonesia, namely pondok pesantren, is accustomed in using the terminology of equality and alignment relatives to gender as their educational discourse. They are not only fluent in discussing the concept of gender equality, the terminology has even become part of the practice of pondok pesantren education.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the linguistic violence in the Indonesian Ulama Council’s fatwa texts on Ahmadiyah. The data in this study is in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses from the MUI fatwa texts in 1980 and 2005 on Ahmadiyah. Some words contain linguistic violence such as “deviant”, “infidel”, and “a state threaten”. This study concludes two forms of linguistic violence in those fatwas: the subtle and abusive forms of violence. In the subtle form, the language is operated to dominate other parties. In addition, the language is also used as an offensive and abusive expression carried out consciously in a discourse. This is used to attack other parties and as a tool to hurt others.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan  mengungkap kekerasan linguistik dalam teks fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) tentang Ahmadiyah. Dalam teks tersebut terdapat kata-kata yang mengandung unsur kekerasan linguistik seperti “sesat menyesatkan”, “berada di luar Islam” dan “bahaya bagi ketertiban dan keamanan negara.” Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, dan wacana yang berasal dari teks fatwa MUI tahun 1980 dan 2005 tentang Ahmadiyah tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat dua bentuk kekerasan linguistik pada kedua fatwa tentang Ahmadiyah tersebut. Pertama, kekerasan linguistik bentuk halus (subtle form). Kedua, kekerasan linguistik bentuk kasar (abusive form). Pada kekerasan linguistik bentuk halus (subtle form), bahasa dioperasikan sebagai wahana untuk mendominasi pihak lain. Sementara pada kekerasan linguistik bentuk kasar (abusive form) bahasa digunakan sebagai ekspresi ofensif yang dilakukan secara sadar dalam sebuah wacana. Dalam kekerasan linguistik bentuk kasar, bahasa dimanfaatkan untuk menyerang pihak lain seperti memberi label sesat menyesatkan. Selain itu, bahasa juga digunakan sebagai sarana untuk menyakiti pihak lain.
